WHAT IS THE WHISTLER FILM FESTIVAL?
Set in North America's premier mountain resort, the 9th annual Whistler Film Festival presented by American Express will take place December 3 to 6, 2009.

In this class you will be attuned to the Reiki energy. Emphasis is placed on learning the hand positions for self healing and the healing of others. Topics covered include the history of Reiki, ethical practices of Reiki, the 21-day cleanse, chakra systems, meridian systems, the Five Reiki Principles, the 3 Pillars of Reiki and how to energetically scan the body. You will receive a manual that includes Level I & Level II material. This class starts at 10:00am and ends at 5:00pm. Upon completion of the training, you will be able to provide Reiki healing for yourself and others. This is a fun-filled day with abundant hands-on practice. A $50.00 deposit is required upon registration with the remainder due at the time of the class.

Spoken Word Alt Country Prog Opera Rock Fantasy group Sweater Vest are remounting their classic Bubblegum Ballet: The Soft Pretzel on Saturday November 28th at Cafe Deux Soleils on Commercial Drive.
Showtime 9pm. Doors at 8 o'clock. $8 regular admission. $5 if you wear a Sweater Vest.
Sweater Vest is RC Weslowski as Chipotle Incognita, Martin VanSteinburg as Heisenberg Incognita and Fernando Raguero as our Fillipino man servant Rutger Ovaries.
This is a remounting of the original ballet done in 1975. The show is broken down in to two parts. The first half is a concert by Sweater Vest. The second half is an improvised ballet on top of freshly chewed bubblegum by several dancers. The show caused such a stir in 1975 that it was banned and cancelled after only one performance. Saliva control was given as the reason but everyone knows that innovation was the true culprit.
Anyhow these are hopefully more culturally aware times and the show will go on once again. Please join us. People with dentures are welcome as well.
