a beautiful March 1963 Build type 3 Notchback and a good looking 1956 oval window ….

first about the wonderful Type 3…. being build March 1963 means this is a very early “push button” model…. need finishing, but is more then ok to do so, and some small works would bring you close to the finish here!  Interior to die for, where You gonna fine another one???? the rear seat has some damage but repairable for sure….. “Television button” style dashboard, one of the coolest things VW ever made!  Don’t we all love original headliners in mint condition? Eberspächer gasheater equipped, still all original since new in a ” better then the average” front trunk…. Original 1500 engine still on board! running and driving, but needs a full service for sure….

Second we have a stunning looking oval window…. so sad they did a poor paint job, so we feel we had to “rescue” this baby

The best looking beetle ever…. the oval window…. now how cute is this, like a candy, are You ready to bite?

TMI upholstery replaced the worn out original, but it is good looking, isn’t it?

All original headliner still in place, a good clean up would do wonders….

Rock solid in the spare wheel well…. Nice 30DIN Hp (36SAE)  engine still in the backBecause of the poor paint job we can offer this car at a real interesting price, or shall we call CHEAP????

Communion is a pretty big thing for a  12 year old, so he had the right to go all over cars and choose “his” ride to church .. he choose for the latest addition to our collection, the magnificent Oct 1962 Rubin red Type 34 Ghia with only 18.000 original miles since new….

doesn’t he look a real big boy now, sjeez he’s growing so fast!

Lyle Cherry is no longer… the support and inspiration I had from this man in the last year was overwhelming enormous …..

an incredible sad loss to the VW community, as Lyle might have developed maybe more parts as any one else… because VW engines and transmissions was simply his passion…. still wanted to come to European Bug in, the Gods decided differently and called him home, in VW heaven.

Lyle with his first lath, he bought this in 1964 when he started to work VW engines after hours, and towed it home behind his beetle, believe it or not….

Yours truly with Lyle on one of my last visits… together with mutual friend, connector and moderator Rick Sadler from Bug pack fame….

For sure You will be missed hard Lyle, you’re knowledge was second to none… I was so fortunate to know You, I will never forget… thanks for teaching me that much, and so sorry i couldn’t take more, You’re knowledge was overwhelming and your story’s better then anything…

a real true VW fellow, will be missed forever!

If You want to show respect to Lyle make sure to visit the Lyle Cherry tribute stand @ European Bug In this year, incorparated in the BBT boot, we will have one of his most famous race cars on display and some weird parts along…..

Last Saturday or early Sunday two busses have been stolen from John and Mark Goldsmith, one being a Westfalia SO42 and the other one a T2B bay window out of their garage in  Ivychurch in Kent, very close to Dover, so chances are big they might even crossed the Channel by now and being here on the continent!

Koen finish the NOS engine for our “samba” bus… Hessisch Oldendorf here we come!

Safety First!!! Tim found the old German helmet we donated to Kevin from Taiwan… before packing the helmet Tim thought it was very useful to protect his head while driving the BBT sweepmachine for everything Kukkie should throw at him…..:)

Goods out dept “fullforce” same dept, other corner…. in order to have everything clean for the open house, they painted the BBT totem last week, we choose another color and thought it would be nice in grey, same colors like the windows and gates of the main building NOS Engine in the samba, yihaaa, Koen don’t stop!  cool replica came to BBT to buy some spares…. we sold the service van of “Garage Kesterbeek” . it was bought from us by long life time friend Bertje we sold for him now to a company to serve as a publicity car… for sure all signs will be kept alive!

last week we loaded also another container for Malaysia, cool stuff, big load… thanks for order PC, You keep BBT happy!

Pascal brought some serious beer from 1st of May, for sure to please Koen,  1970 Kingsred beetle is sold… Koen busy doingthe BBT final inspection service…. Totem paint is ready, way more cool…. another “parking lot view”…. 58 Palm Green Sand green getting prepped for BBT convoy… will be steered and drivin by the “Texas team” with passenger of honor Lyle Cherry himself on board!  Mister Yanto, from Terror Garage Indonesia paid us a visit last Saturday… Yanto always is happy to come to BBT . and we always happy to receive… Terror Garage becomes now largest BBT GT Sprintstar distributor, worldwide!  Two new arrivals, first is a 1963 Notchback, very beautiful car, more pictures coming soon!  original interior in mint condition! this make you ………. ssssssssssstttttttt quiet…….hmmmmmmm second is an oval window, the paint job could have been better, but the car is not to bad, need to be finished…. more pictures coming soon to this blog….

if we’re busy again? you bet!

seems like we choose right manufacturer for our oil slinger reproduction…. oil slinger prevent, when oil seal leaks on early cars, oil  spills your brake shoes (what would be not a smart idea!)

the tooling is in final stage…

Below is the fixture only, to have the right welding of the little tube…. we will be able to have oil slingers for beetle, bus, type 3 and Porsche 356, off course only the early cars use, but they’re bend, missing, broken, good ones are so hard to get, BBT is on its way to solve this problem….
