• Not too-specific Niche – All above falls in water if you have a too-specific niche you are writing about. Let’s say you have a blog about Cup 2010 in South Africa, and you write about what is happening on it – you get an affordable amount of visitors and suddenly – it is all gone and lowering from day to day once World Cup is over! You don’t want that to happen, so choose a niche which is not related to the too-specific topic or event. Give yourself an opportunity to write about anytime you want!

Choosing a Topic

Now, it is time to choose a topic. If you read this post, you would know that is not easy thing to do and it is hardly possible to find the perfect niche that fits you absolutely.

The Real Facts

Let me give you some facts for my personal experience of making money online process in general. I have created many websites on the internet, working on many services online over years and these are the results which I have experienced personally when we talk about making money online blogging:

• 1 Year = 100$ – When I have started to blog, before 4 years ago, I have managed to earn my first $100.00 for 11 months of actively updating and working on my first blog. I have used a free-hosted blogging platform at that time with only 1 advertisement in my sidebar!
• Learn Enough – During that time, I have managed to learn so much useful information about blogging, money making process and overall website behavior. Everything I have learned during my first years of blogging served me right in my future development as a blogger.
• The Reality – When I have make my first $100.00 for a whole year of blogging, I have seen how hard is to make some money blogging. Then I have started to think what to do to improve my earnings in general and trying to make enough money to cover all my hosting and domain costs for all my websites and services. I have been persistent but having the reality in mind.

Please note that these facts are based on my own experience. That does not mean you would go through it like I do. I am sure you would go through the whole different story than this one.
