Neste Curso de                  Educação Matemática tive o privilégio de conhecer sobre um pouco                  da cultura indígena e africana no mundo. Somei a este curso,                  outro oferecido pela FACULDADE DE MÚSICA DA UFMG - “Construção                  de Instrumentos de Percussão com Materiais Alternativos e sua                  Aplicação Pedagógica”. Fiz um excelente trabalho em uma das                  Escolas que leciono, ensinando matemática e fabricando                  instrumentos ao mesmo tempo como, afoxés, maracás, maracas,                  ganzás, maculelê, pau-de-chuva, flautas-pam, tambores dos mais                  variados tipos, etc. Isto para mim, de uma certa forma foi                  positivo, porque quando foi procurar saber das disciplinas que                  seriam ministradas neste Curso de Mestrado, percebi a relação do                  trabalho com ETNOMUSICOLOGIA, SOCIOLOGIA DA EDUCAÇÃO MUSICAL,                  ESTUDOS SOBRE AS PRÁTICAS MUSICAIS E SOCIEDADES etc.&lt;/blockquote&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style=&quot;font-size:100%;&quot;&gt;&lt;blockquote&gt;Conheci o vasto mundo da prática musical de VERGÍLIO LIMA, um                  exímio luthier com quem fizera um curso de Fabricação de                  Instrumentos de Corda. Ao                  criar o solo de uma música, numa simples rabeca, o caipira pode                  estar utilizando conceitos de frações e escala de Pitágoras. Podemos                  extrair daí problemas como, tipo de madeira a ser usado, tipo de                  cola, quantidades, dosagens, como construir uma escala, qual o                  tipo de construção mais adequado, espessuras, além de outros                  conhecimentos, é necessário usar matemática e música. O educador                  da escola, então, entra com a parte técnica, o conhecimento                  necessário na resolução dos problemas.
