A short documentary about famous Japanese photographer Daido Moriyama, his studio, photo gear and his thoughts about photography.

My first film camera – Pentax KM. Very well made camera, similar to famous K1000 model but with some additional features (DOF Preview, self-timer etc.). I’d like to call it K1000 on steroids. My version is silver/black with microprism viewing screen. Here are some shots from my first film roll. SMC M 50mm f/2 lens is maybe the cheapest Pentax lens but still it is very compact and rendering great images. There is nothing wrong with it except for the aperture. I think this lens is the best choice for beginner like me, for everyday shooting or street photography.

Very creatively told love story. Shot entirely with Nokia N8 mobile phone. This short film is a winner in Nokia Shorts competition 2011.

Here are a few shots of my short night walk in Vilnius. Just wanted to test the camera with some lenses. It was the first time I did some night photography and that process taught me some lessons. When I was passing by the Cathedral Square I saw a group of fire performers UgniesSokis, they were practicing in the open air and I thought there was the right moment to take out my camera. Used three lenses: Konica Hexanon 40mm f/1.8 pancake lens, Sony 16-50mm kit lens and soviet Industar69.

This is first compilation I made special for my friend Aurimas aka Nublar series of Sunday mixes – ChillySundays. I tried to make this compilation similar to famous Back To Mine mixes. The compilations usually feature artists other than the artist compiling the album, and are based on what the artist would play at home after a night out, rather than as part of a nightclub session. I’ve selected 22 tracks and they represent different periods of my life, some of them have made very big influence for my musical taste, some of them helps me not to forget important good or sad moments, and some of them I can’t stop listening to for many years. This compilation is made for chillin’.

The goal was to do my own responsive WordPress theme. I was searching for some info about responsive design and decided to use beautiful, full of cool features and easy to customize Bootstrap framework. The result is very minimal, lightweight and customizable theme with integrated FancyBox, Masonry, MouseWheel jQuery scripts. It looks good both on desktop monitor or on phone browser.
