<dc:subject>how-to</dc:subject>

Respect copyright

Copyright's respect, is a prerequisite of our project Awawat.

Before using works, you will know exactly the terms of listening, reading or buying. These instructions will be defined by the author and will be posted prior to use.
The user is notified of these terms when downloading or using works . The use will be allowed for only if the user is able to respect these rights.

Respect for the using rights.

If the user has the duty to respect the copyright, in return, he acquires the right to fully enjoy his works without specific constraints.

What does the respect for these rights of use involve:

1 - Any use of the works (rent or purchase) must be paid for in accordance with copyright.

2 - A multi devices or platform use.

When a work is acquired, it will be read on any compatible platform. With our system the works are coded so as to prevent fraudulent use, but the coding does not depend on the playing device. AWAWAT through its deported system of rights' management makes possible reading on any platform.

Playback on an Open Source platform is even possible.

We will develop an Open Source player to make the system accessible to all reading.

3 - Acquired rights are not assigned to the reading device, but to the person who acquired it.

Buying a digital work does not bind to a reading device.

The rights associated with our solution are:

* Allowing a free download.

This is the best way for widely spreading the works.
It also allows users to anticipate demand and to procure the works before their use:

Certain works can be very long to download.

The downloading device is not necessarily the reading device.

* Paying when using the work and not before the download.

* Using the work without necessarily being connected to the Internet.

* Enjoying rights in freedom and in all circumstances.

Our system allows the user to benefit its rights while paying the rental price.

* Ability to communicate on this work.

Not only free downloading seems essential, but communication on works seems even more important. Our system allows users to create their blog, adding links to download the works and to conditions of the works' use.

To find works, nothing like a group of buzz fans!

We consider these foundations as essential.

AWAWAT is designed to respect these basic principles. Looking for a solution meeting these commitments lead us to define AWAWAT's principles.

Leave us a comment if you agree (or not) these commitments.
