Cat Walk Plaque

A bit of history on the Cat Walk sculpture is offered by a nearby plaque. Wall Street was named for the wall retaining Battery Park Hill. To get back and forth on the first floor a series of alleyways was used, however to enter into the second floor, footbridges and cat walks were the primary means of access.
