This is an Online Boutique. I use only Natural Steam Pressed Oils, & Natural Waxes. I started making candle's at home in Los Angeles Ca. When I started making candle's in 2014 I went out looking for Natural Oils, but couldn't find them. All I could find were Synthetic scents mixed with Parrafin's and other additives. This was not healthy for me or my family. So, I did a great deal of investigation, to my surprise almost all candle's out there were being made with these toxic products mainly because they are cheaper. Natural steamed pressed oils are so much more expensive. There are no laws to imprinting ingredients on the labels and no laws against using Parrafin, synthetic or Petroleum based candle's. The Resin Décor on the bottom is toxic on the other hand, but it's completely dry and doesn't effect the wax at all. It takes about 4 to 8 days for the Resin to dry completely depending on the size. I mix two liquid chemical compounds together making the Resin permanent, and encapsulating the Décor.

I went to Nicaragua for my Birthday. I planned on passing out money from my Artsy Candle Sales to people in the streets who really needed it. But what I found there were starving street dogs, on every corner. Although, I did give money to older ladies and children who approached me trying to sell me trinkets and fruits. I couldn't help but notice all the street dogs. They cannot speak, but you can see they were in desperate need to eat. I rode around in a scooter with "Doggie Bags" of food in Ometepe, Nicaragua and when I saw a dog with its ribs sticking out. I stopped and put the food down. Some Dogs approached with caution. Others immediatly ate everything in the boxes. When the food was gone, they began to eat the boxes.
The Sales I made for the year was only $42. But It was something and in Nicaragua $42 goes a long way. These dogs will eat anything you put infront of them. There is no Animal Control in Nicaragua. I'm not Famous, rich with money, or backed by multi-million dollar companies, I am only one person who is willing to do anything to help. Please buy a candle today @ www.artsycandles.com

When I made this Candle, I had no idea it was going to be the most popular one out of all my Candle's. My mother gave me the idea when we were shopping. I wanted to make one with Succulents. I couldn't find anything I really liked, but then my mother pointed at this big ball of Tree's. At first I was confused, they didn't look like Succulents to me. I took it home, hot glued them onto some mixed colored Pebble's and Resin. When it all came together, it looked so nice I couldn't believe it. Then I had my first booth at The Farmers Market on Abbott Kinney and this Artsy Succulent Candle was the first Customized Candle (and only one) I sold that day. I thought my first customer would be a woman, but what a nice surprise it was a super nice guy who got it for his Girlfriend in Summertime!:) He texted me later that day, that his Girlfriend LOVED the Candle and the Nag Champa Oil I put in smelled amazing. It made me happy to hear that, and thank you for reading.
