Now, to be serious, i think you realized i’m talking about the word of the day: Google wants to purchase Twitter. Of course they do. People use it like crazy, we started to search on twitter topics rather than googling things, it’s fast, snappy.

In one word, the best asset of the moment. And if there’s a thing people can’t do without, Google must own it, just like it happened with Feedburner for instance.

I see that readwriteweb published different opinion of media specialists. One says Google could easily reproduce the platform. So what? We do have other platforms, but they’re just not Twitter, as well as other search engines are not Google ;)

I say we prepare for our wonderful weekend and wish them the best of luck if it’s true: the Twitter guys would be getting 20 million, that means twenty cozy islands in the Pacific, and Google would get also what they want: one step closer to controlling all media :)).

If you have a flash games site, or some flash games on your site, you might consider monetizing them. Yes, that’s right, they’re no longer doing it just for text and video!

TicTacTi, an israeli startup, came up with a great and really easy to use idea, in which the flashgame on your site could display ads in a contextual manner.

All you have tot do is follow te instructions in the video below and go to TicTacTi for more information. The ads ould originate from adexchangers like Doubleclick or the publisher’s adserver (let’s say Oberon or HeyZap). Of course TicTacTi will charge its own comission to that.

An adult webcam site might be sending tweets from your account.

It seems Twitter is confrunted with another major security break: a program that hacks into accounts and sends out a message like that:

“hey! 23/Female. Come chat with me on my webcam thingy here www.chatwebcamfree.com.”

A while ago, celebrity accounts have been hacked in the same way, by compromising password, a tactique not quite so common for Twitter hacks but heavily used for breaking down Instant Messaging accounts.

Youtube published today the comscore.com results for the January audiences, and they are both impressive and incredible: 100 million viewers in the United States alone, with 6.3 milion videos being viewed.

That is to surpass by 91% the last years’s results.

On the official Facebook blog, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announces that they dedicated the past week to working on a new set of Terms. The reviewing of the terms happened as a result of more and more users wanting to contribute to “the process of governing the site”.

Our main goal at Facebook is to help make the world more open and transparent

says Zuckerberg, and that statement is to explain the following changes.

They started by drafting two documents:

- The Facebook Principles (that will be like a Constitution, it will stand behind every policy Facebook will consider) and
- The Statement of Rights and Responsibilities ( that will replace existing the Terms of Use).

Both documents are to be commented and reviewed by users, and , before they will go on effect, users will be able to vote pro or con.

By this, Facebook allies to the main idea that governs the internet these days, the “be a friend” stream that is supposedly going to attract the users in these difficult economic times.

The end of the statement is great, as Facebook positions itself as a innovator and hopes the other players will follow. It’s fun to be that confindent and it actually might work.
