Outside is a brand new spin on the Weather App by the new development duo over at Robocat. A simple and gorgeous UI shows you a little window, when the window opens it will use your GPS to find local current weather data and presents it to you in stunning graphics. Swipe inside the window to explore the forecast 5 days ahead. Swipe down to see more details in the clouds. On top of the pretty forecasting app sits a powerful custom notification engine that will let you setup and receive alerts when the weather reaches certain conditions. A fresh look on a tired genre, this beautiful app makes the weather forecast fun again.

RunKeeper utilizes the GPS in your iPhone 3G or 3GS to track and record your Running/Bicycling/Walking experience. Your data is uploaded to their webservice at RunKeeper.com, which presents your activities in a neat and polished interface. If this isn’t enough to keep up the motivation, you can even ask your friends to become part of your “Street Team” and share your running activities with monthly leads and shared statistics. Critics say this is better than Nike+ and we have to agree. Try the Free version Now. The Pro version is $9.99 but also totally worth it. Get your Run on.

From Pixelate & Spaces of Play comes a thumbtwisting indie game wrapped in delicious 8 bit beats. Mr. Bounce is a new take on the classic Arkanoid-genre where you control a bar at the bottom of the screen, bouncing a ball to hit objects in the space above. Enter multitouch gestures and suddenly you’re controlling both the sidescroll of the bar, the height of the bounce and even the speed of the game. Underlying all this a beat thumbs away while you bust geometric shapes to add highnode bleeps. This all makes for a very musical experience in what is a very challenging but compelling game.

Quick sessions have you spring across roofs, jump over obstacles while buildings are collapsing and doves are flying - all this with the tap of a single finger. Set in a luscious pixelart world to a score of pumping ambient electronica you compete to see who can run the farthest before falling to your death. This is a perfect combination of pacing, style and thrills that really flex the muscles of independant gaming and delivers elusive exciting gameplay wrapped in replayability.

I discovered Ghostly a few months back, but unfortunatly at that point it was restricted to the US store. Luckily for the rest of us, the team over at 02 creative solutions launched this wonderful app worldwide last week. Ghostly Discovery is a streaming radio station and mood-based music discovery tool. Select your mood from a range of colours and control the style with a digital/organic and pacing slider. The app then puts together a mix from their seemingly extensive library of ambient and electronic music that’ll fit straight into your current temper. Best of all, it’s free.

As with all of iconfactory’s products the game is highly polished, glazed in a thick layer of wonderful interface elements and baked in the oven for just the right amount of time. Don’t let the simplicity of the game fool you, some of the goals are rather hard to accomplish and will keep you coming back for more ball flicking. Additional ramps with new goals are available for purchase for $0.99 to add more content to the game.
