River North held the Jaguars to 57 total yards and has allowed just four TDs on the

1. MIDDLETOWN SOUTH (8-0). Last week: No.‚2. Kyle Bunge ran for three TDs to
lead the Eagles to a 41-8 win over Lakewood. Middletown South clinched the outright
Federal Division championshop and appears to be line for the No.‚1 seed in the NJSIAA
Central III playoffs. Next: Nov. 13 or 14 in the Central III playoffs.

2. HOWELL (6-1). Last week: No.‚1. Two fourth quarter turnovers prevented
Howell from pulling out a win over unbeaten Sayreville and resulted in a 21-12 defeat
that prevented it from earning the No.‚1 seed in the Central IV playoffs. Jimmy Ryan
threw for 214 yards and a TD. Next: Friday vs. Southern (4-3).

3. TOMS RIVER NORTH (6-1). Last week: No.‚3. The defense came through again for
Toms River North as it held Piscataway to 112 yards in a 7-0 win. The Mariners have
recorded three straight shutouts, four on the season and have not allowed a point in 15
quarters. Demetri Davis' 10-yard TD pass to Mark Dorsey in the second quarter accounted
for the game's only points. Next: Saturday vs. Jackson Memorial (3-4).

No. 4 MANASQUAN (7-0). Last week: No.‚4. C.J. Davis's 36-yard TD pass to Neal
Sterling on a fourth-and-16 with 4:31 remaining gave the Warriors the lead for good in
their 28-17 win over then No.‚10 Raritan that enabled them to clinch the National
Division championship outright. Dan Sullivan, in his first action of the season at
running back, ran for two TDs. Next: Friday at No.‚9 Long Branch (5-2).

No. 5 TOMS RIVER EAST (7-0): Last week: No.‚6. The Raiders, who have clinched the
Constitution Division championship, outright, did not play. Next: Friday vs. Old Bridge
(3-4).

No. 6 MATAWAN (6-1): Last week: No.‚6. McArthur Underwood's 6-yard TD run in the
third quarter followed by Sean Gleason's extra point gave the Huskies the lead for good
in their 17-16 win over then No.‚8 Long Branch that clinched the outright Liberty
Division championship. It is Matawan's first divisional title since 2003 and first
outright divisional championship since 1992. The Huskies have a legitimate chance to be
the No.‚1 seed in the Central II playoffs. Next: Saturday vs. Bishop Ahr (6-1).

No. 7 RUMSON-FAIR HAVEN (8-0). Last week: No.‚9. John Riley ran for four TDs as
the Bullldogs clinched the Patriot Division championship outright and improved to 8-0
for the first time with a 42-6 win over Point Beach. It is Rumson's first outright
divisional title since 2006. Next: Nov. 13 or 14 in the NJSIAA Central II playoffs.

No. 8 LACEY (5-2): Last week: Not ranked. Junior tailback Jake Dabal ran dfor
three TDs on three consecutive carries late in the first half and ran for a career-high
243 yards as the Lions made it five straight wins and four straight shutouts with a 40-0
win over Middletown North. Next: Saturday vs. Freehold (4-3).

No. 9 LONG BRANCH (5-2). Last week: No.‚8. Miles Shuler's 300 yards of total
offense were not enough as the Green Wave missed a 20-yard field goal with 1:09
remaining and lost 17-16 to No.‚6 Matawan. Shuler had 70 and 39-yard TD passes to Ezra
Kelly. Things do not get any easier this week. Next: Friday vs. No.‚4 Manasquan (7-0).

No. 10 RARITAN (5-2): Last week: No.‚10. The Rockets built a 17-7 lead late in the
first half, but could not hold on as Manasquan rallied for a 28-17 win. Bennett Jackson
scored on a 25-yard rocket screen pass from quarterback Joe Pensebene and also kicked a
21-yard field goal. Jesse Raymond ran for 112 yards and a TD. Next: Friday vs. Middlesex
(2-5).
