We're not entirely sure what makes canopies green per se. Perhaps it's because we associate them with sleeping outside (you know, the netting). Whatever the reason, we love canopies. They instantly soften and create intimacy. We've rounded up a few of our favorite canopy images, including one that is (admittedly) a little out of place, but we thought you'd still enjoy it.

Michelle Kaufmann, as you probably know, is an architect, designer, and advocate for smarter and more sustainable designs. mkDesigns actually led the movement towards prefabricated green homes.
