Jamie Rosenberg Google’s Director for Digital Content of Android said on 17, November 2011 during Google’s big Music Event that since many Number of android devices has reached 200 Million activated devices and still counting. It’s like a 100% growth since May. Also the per day activated Android Device’s count goes upto 550,000, a whooping 550,000 devices activated per day, My word.

Dating Back to may this year the number of activated android devices was like 100 Million Devices. This Number has doubled in such a short span and with number of devices being released, no wonder this numbers are gonna go down. If you ask “Why android ? is it because of its

multi tasking capability ?

customizable home screens ?

Notification bar ?

Cool widgets ? or

the Android Market with numerous possibilities ?

as a Big Android Fan, i like to say that all the above are the primary reasons for me preferring android so much as the top and must have OS while choosing Smartphone or Tablets.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Meanwhile 250 Million iOS devices have been sold till October 2011, Not to forget the staggering 4 Million iPhone 4s being sold in the first three days of its launch. Looks like the race is a close call. Its filling upto the brim and just that who ever falls out first.

I Spot a droid everywhere and you know its easy to make friends with someone having a nexus. Google is developing day by day with numerous researches, developments and so on. This certainly isn’t a bad thing. Can’t wait to get my hands on IceCream Sandwich.

Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus was Thermos anticipated Android mobile phone of the year, because its the first android phone to run the Ice Cream Sandwich, the latest and feature rich Android Operating System of 2011. As reports say that, Galaxy Nexus doesn’t support the USB Mass Storage Support it seems.

Is it something Google have left behind in the ICS 4.0 ? Actually NOT. When Dan Morrill Android Engineer, responds during Impromptu Q&A Session, “Why Galaxy Nexus is not supporting USB Storage Feature ?“, he replied, “That USB Mass Storage is supported on devices that will have removable Storage Cards explaining how it wasn’t available on the Galaxy Nexus.

It isn’t physically possible to support UMS on devices that don’t have a dedicated partition for storage (like a removable SD card, or a separate partition like Nexus S) This is because UMS is a block-level protocol that gives the host PC direct access to the physical blocks on the storage, so that Android cannot have it mounted at the same time.

The unified storage model in honeycomb, shares full 32 GB between app data and media data, which is no more staring sadly at your 5GB Free storage on your Samsung Galaxy Nexus S, when your internal app data partition has filled up. Its considered as one big volume by default.

So in order to provide that feature effectively, android will use MTP where in windows, it has built in MTP support in Explorer that makes it look exactly like a storage disk. On Linux and Mac OS X its not that easy to have but still, it is possible and expected to arrive soon.

Meanwhile Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple Inc, gets the first Galaxy Nexus in the United States.

Steve Wozniak ? , Some of us may wonder it to be strange but Apple’s Co-Founder had recently twittered that he needed a Galaxy Nexus. Maybe after that tweet he got invited to the Google’s Campus in Mount View California, where he got to get the taste of the Ice Cream Sandwich. Yes, he was given a Brand New Galaxy Nexus and an Ice Cream Sandwich T-Shirt along with it.

—————————

Well, Who needs to wait in a queue to get an iPhone, when Google invites you and gives you a taste of its newest phone and Operating Platform. But Steve Wozniak says that, he likes to do that besides the fact that he is denied special privileges from Apple.

With the Samsung’s Brand New Nexus phone, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and also the first Android Phone to run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich releasing earlier this month in the UK, the First ever customer to buy it (Alex Ioannou) was awed as everyone bought it would have been. But his Joy was short lived as when he quickly un boxed the device and powered it on, the phone didn’t greet him with a welcome screen or neither did ask him to set up his Google account as most androids do but showed way too many options.

Puzzled Alex took the phone over to the Samsung Store in the UK where he had originally bought it, got a replacement right away. No wonder seeing the image explains that he had got a Developer’s Phone. Most of the Nexus devices are Developer’s phone like a consumer phone and somehow there had been a mix up and this “For Developers Only !” phone got itself into a consumer store.

If it had been any other day it would have been fine but the launch and the first phone ever to be sold, it was a bit shame on Samsung but no other issues haven’t been heard after this mishap.

For Those Lucky Owners of a Galaxy Nexus, you might have noticed that there isn’t no Adoble Flash for your Device in the Android Market. It seems that the Adobe’s Flash Plugin is no more compatible with the newest version of Google OS. As we all know Adobe has declared that they are going to work on HTML 5, but Adobe Mobile Flash has got still one last delivery and its for the ICS 4.0. As Adobe folks have said to Pocket-lint “[it] will release one more version of the Flash Player for mobile browsing, which will provide support for Android 4.0, by the end of 2011.”

Well then, I suppose ICS will be the last chance to get a “Full web Experience” on an Android. This final Release also will be having a one last version of Linux Porting Kit after which HTML5 has its debut.

Within blazing 4 Days hackers have successfully ported the ICS 4.0 into Samsung Galaxy SII and also LG Optimus 3D. Man, the ICS looks stunning on the Samsung’s HD AMOLED Display. But the Port is still on Alpha Base as Bluetooth, Wifi and other Radios doesn’t seem working. But, its pretty sure that a stable release is headed right away.

HTC Edge just arrived as the first Quad Core processor featured HTC smartphone and here we have another surprise for HTC Fans. HTC to release another Beast that has Quad Core processor in it with some more extra ordinary features and new design as well.

HTC Edge, First Quad Core Phone running on a Tegra 3, Powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad Core CPU on Tegra 3 Chipset and a pretty Solid 4.7 inch HD Display. To Support this, the device will have a 1 Gig of RAM with other features Including 8 Megapixel Rear Camera with f/2.2 lens and Dr. Dre’s Beats Audio like the new Sensation XE earlier from HTC. There aren’t any specifications regarding the Front Camera or LTE Capability. It will be running IceCream Sandwich 4.0 with HTC Sense UI. Announced to be launched in Q1/Q2 of 2012 this has got some serious Expectations.

But Hold On , Take a look at his ,

Another Quad Core beast rumored as HTC Zeta to be running a Quad Core 2.5GHz APQ8064 CPU. I just like to quote the spec once again.

2.5 GHz CPU on a Smartphone

HTC Zeta Specification [Rumored]

Processor: 2.5GHz APQ8064 CPU

Ram: 1GB

Camera: 8 MP with full 1080p Recording

Screen & Resolution: 4.5” 720p HD Display (1280×720)

Memory: 32 Gigs of Internal Storage

Other Features include a ICS 4.0 with HTC sense UI. And Beats by Dr.Dre , a new trend being set by HTC, isn’t it ?

As you can see this rumored Picture, the Device looks small , as for a 4.5″ unlike HTC Edge’s 4.7 and the design is completely different. It looks more sleek and fragile with dimensions of 109.8 x 60.9 x 9.8mm. It weighs around 146 Grams. Its a bit thicker in the middle though, that little looks like an iPhone. The phone looks intriguing and definitely will be a showstopper once it hits the market. And BTW, Tegra 3 has a secret fifth core for running low memory consuming applications. 2.5 Ghz with 5 cores, Its gonna be a sexy and a powerful piece of innovation. Seriously, these smartphones are taking the Communication and Computing to next level.

Thanks for reading and please do share this post on Facebook, Twitter and Google+. Also we very much value your comment below.

SIri on Android Mobile ? The title itself pretty embarrassing isnt it ? Well this has been quiet a talk everywhere and here’s what going on to make that possible.

We are all aware that SIRI new personal voice assistant another big innovation from apple, trust me its one thing you need to be proud of owning an Apple. With Siri you can use natural language to process your commands ranging from texting, calling, web services. Recommending you Restaurants and so much can be done.

Siri was originally an application in the Apple App Store. Siri had announced that this features will be soon introduced to the blackberry and also to the Android Market. But Since apple acquired Siri on April 28, 2010 they cancelled all the development for non iOS Platforms. And man they came with a bang introducing an all new and better improved Siri with their 4S, maybe one of Job’s probably last but best ever contribution to Apple.

But Applidium Claim that they managed to crack Siri and obtain the code thus stating that they can make a replica of it, making it available to other NON iOS platforms too. Further Applidium explained that Siri’s protocol works only by rendering answers from Apple’s servers and that the phone doesn’t actually run on its own.

Apple’s most precious approach to make revolution in the smartphone world might be at stake here. Despite Apple’s efforts to protect Siri wasn’t quite protective enough. This all might have been possible only because SIRI runs Online and that may have a chance of finding some possible loop hole. The Post at Applidium which they claim brief shows how bad a deal they went through to achieve it and the explanation given might just not be good for day to day readers.

We are quiet sure Apple will do anything to stop it, but the thing is does everyone want to experience the SIRI on their droids too. Trust me I don’t.
