I had a garage sale this past weekend and was able to declutter my house and toys. My house is definitely more simple now. I’m very thankful for the Lord allowing me to have a garage sale and the support of my parents helping out with the kids while I decluttered my house and actually ran the garage sale.

Another area of my life I am working on simplifying is my finances. I just recently got the Total Money Makeover workbook by Dave Ramsey and am looking forward to simplify that part of my life.

I’m finding life is much more enjoyable when it is simpler. I thank the Lord for that.

Through MyBlogSpark I was given the opportunity to try the new Swiffer Wet Jet. The video below shows my kids and I having fun finding the stains on the floor and using the Swiffer Wet Jet to clean the floor.

Overall I was impressed with the Swiffer WetJet. It was easy to use and I liked that the cleaning solution just hooked onto the Swiffer unit. The only thing I have a problem with is that I wish the unit had a off switch. My daughter figured out pretty quickly how to squirt the cleaning solution out. So now she pretends to mop and starts squirting the cleaning solution out everywhere! While I appreciate that she wants to help me clean, it just makes more of a mess for me to clean up.

The first book I read was The Quickie by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge. The books is not nearly as scandalous as the cover looks so don’t be dismayed. This book follows a NYPD detective who witnesses her husband murder a man and her attempt to save him from being caught.

I always love a good murder mystery book but I can usually figure out the outcome pretty early in the book. While I was correct in my assumption of the outcome of this book, the path to get there was not what I was expecting. There were quite a bit of twists and turns in this murder mystery. I found it hard to put the book down.

While the cover loves like the book would contain a lot of sexual situations, it really does not. Yes, it does contain some, but it is not the focus of the book.

If you like to read murder mysteries then I think you might just enjoy this book.

This weeks Thankful Thursday is being hosted by Laurie at Women Taking a Stand.

While there are many things I am thankful for there are a couple things that stand out in my mind.

My son just started school for the first time and he loves it! He is sad when the weekends come and he is not able to go to school. I am just thankful for his excitement and joy for learning this new things.

My husband started a new work schedule this month which will mean he should be able to be home more now! For those who do not know, my husband is in his 2 year of medical residency and works long hours with very few days off. This past week we have actually been able to eat dinner together as a family!

My friend, Kelly from Wisdom Begun, and I also just launched a brand new site, Faithful Bloggers! I’m excited at this opportunity the Lord has given us to encourage other Christian bloggers and am also very thankful for the Lord providing me with such a partner to work on the site with.

Despite the disturbing beginning, the book itself is excellent so far. The writing is wonderful and I can really feel the character’s emotions and understand what they are going through. I am anxious to finish it and am sure it will not take me long to get to the end. It has been a page turner so far.

For those of you would do not know how Weight Watchers works, the amount of food you are allowed to eat is based on a point system. Every food has a certain number of points associated with it and you are allowed to eat to a certain number of point based on your weight and health. So I am always looking for foods that have a low points value.

So, I was very excited when I got a chance to try and review Yoplait Delights – a new yogurt parfait that only has 100 calories per servings. I calculated the points and it came out to only 2 points per servings, which is great for a snack! The Delights come in several different flavors including Triple Berry Creme, Creme Caramel, Lemon Torte, and Chocolate Raspberry. I can have a chocolate snack for only 2 points. I was very excited.

Here is a video about my though about the Delights.

As I mentioned in the video, you can download a coupon to get $1.30 off any purchase of Yoplait Delights.
