When Woods tested for DUI tests, he couldn’t perform it, but in the two breathalyzer tests, no alcohol presence was found in his body. He told the officers that he had a reaction of some prescription drugs.

On the 19th of June, Woods in his tweet said, “I am receiving the help of professionals to manage my medications and the ways my back pain was deal and also the sleeping disorder.”

Woods is going through downtime in his career, once the number one player in the world for 683 weeks, as now moved to the rank of 970. First he suffered with the back injury and now the after effects of the drugs he consumed. Woods even was unable to attend the Quicken Loans National, which he himself hosts every year.

The fans of the Woods are eagerly waiting for their favorite player to come on the course, but only god knows how long they have to wait for this.

As Dustin Johnson was not there to tee off long shots or put up heroic deeds, Thomas and Spieth carried on to and fro. It was definitely a bout for the title and Spieth feels that they battled it out in the final rounds, especially as both were in a tied up position. After considerable to and fro rounds, the final shootout happened. There were seven changes in leads before Thomas was able to pull away and methodically sealed his victory.

Spieth and Thomas have roots of friendship that run too deep. Hence, even if competitive differences come in they are able to see after that. As Spieth explains, the two of them grew up together. They had watched each other from their early teens and they had a friendship that was strong. Thomas however, must be feeling the pressure as Spieth has been collecting titles over the past few seasons at a fast pace. Thomas became part of the PGA Tour in the year 2015 at a time when Spieth had already won two major tournament titles and had five titles under his belt. Thomas admits that he feels excited for his friend, but it definitely makes him jealous to see the achievements of his friends which could have been his.

The event Quicken Loans National has been hosted by Woods since 2007 and the event are benefiting his foundation. After 2012, he has been the part of this tournament only twice. Last year, he was there in the tournament, but not as a participant. His presence was there as a host and he presented the trophy to the winner of the tournament Billy Hurley III.

In his absence from the tournament of this year, the fans of Woods had a mixed reaction.

A fan of Woods from Frederic Kelsey Karlin said, “His absence is more than just an absence, the tournament seems incomplete without him”.

Another spectator from Arlington, Steve Harmin said, “I like these tournaments and come every year to watch it and see how good these guys are into playing golf.” He further added that, the absence of Woods surely is felt, but to me golf game is bigger than any celebrity”.

As far as the performance of Tiger Woods is concerned, then he did not play that well, but still he has a great fan following. This is really crazy, one of the spectators said, when asked about the presence of Woods in the tournament.

His fiancée and he would be married on 22^nd April and it is being dubbed as the wedding of the decade. The venue being Ashford Castle in Ireland, the couple has selected this castle turned five star hotel as their wedding destination after spending two New Year’s Eve occasions here. Here’s hoping that the couple will carry off their wedding eventually as there had been a previous instance in 2014 when he had been engaged to Caroline Wozniacki, the tennis player that got called off abruptly. The Ilroy and Stoll have been engaged since December 2015.

There is much to look forward to regarding the wedding. Not only will it be on a grand scale, but there would be interesting personalities present to make the wedding a true star lit affair. Coldplay would probably be performing at the wedding as well as Ed Sheeran. Celebrity golfers would also be present at the wedding. With the Masters behind them for this year, Rory was hoping that a win in the tournament would have awarded him the legendary green jacket that he could have worn at his wedding. He finished tied at the seventh position instead and now he would be appearing as a married man at the next tournament that is the Players Championship. Fans would be glued to the social media channels through this week and weekend, wanting to know more about his whereabouts and how the wedding finally goes off.

After the end of match, they were so jazzed that they started enacting some great moments of the cup. Simpson played the character of Patrick Reed and Dowd was in the character of Rory Mcilroy.

The couple was pleased with performance of Patrick Reed and Rory Mcilroy. They had played really well and it is not just they impressed Simpson and Dowd with the game, but everybody on the ground was in same euphoria. Though, Simpson couldn’t make out for this event for year 2016 because of some reasons. But, he enjoyed each moment of the championship and just like others soaked themselves in match completely.

Ryder’s Cup is one of the most happening championships, thus we didn’t say. But, ask any player who has participated in tournament or have watched it, everybody will say the same thing, “There is no championship like Ryder’s Cup”. One can understand players feeling associated with the championship with the fact that two time participant of tournament Webb Simpson and his wife enacted each moment of Ryder’s Cup. This they did at the time of celebrating the event.

It is not like only this couple has celebrated this event with such zeal. On the contrary, every player participated in the event and viewers of the match have same euphoria. During entire event one can hear the excitement. There was shushing, screaming, bowing and everything else.

It is not like Webb Simpson and Dowd celebrated this event this way privately. It is really incredible to see another professional golfer so excited about performance on another player. This is what the famous Ryder Cup is.

In the Las Vegas event the birdie putt that he played was about a foot away. In such a position he raised his stick in the right hand and made a strategic thrust so that the ball landed in the cup.

Victory in the Las Vegas event was long pending for him in the PGA Tour. As per the champion, he stated that he dreamt of this victory for so long. To finally get to achieve the same was amazing. He said that he has learned in his nine years at the PGA tour level that there is nothing one can achieve by being fidgety. You will only end up losing more than gaining. Playing the game with a clear mind and with lots of patience on your mind will help you to easily achieve your goals. Patience is what helped Simpson to lift the 2012 US Open at Olympic Club in San Francisco.

As most of the courses where PGA championships are held are hard courses, hence it is easy to make stupid mistakes when playing. Simpson says that you should get past your dumb mistake and concentrate on what is in front of you in order to achieve bigger things. He is a player who gives due importance to family and spends plenty of quality time with his family. Even in the middle of the Baltusrol US PGA tournament in New Jersey, he headed straight to the rented apartment that he had taken for a week to spend some time with his wife Doud and his four children.

It was only in May that Simpson’s youngest daughter Mercy was born. He is such a loving family man that he diverted moving to the Players Championship venue at Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla, and headed straight to Charlotte as she was close to her due date. As soon as Webb reached Charlotte, his wife Doud had contractions and drove immediately to Carolinas Medical Center.
The best part is that Doud along with her four kids, all under the age of five, travel with Simpson for most of his tournaments. Simpson acknowledges his golfing success and unparalleled happiness are all due to his wife Doud and his four children.

Meanwhile Tom Watson has his eyes on his final Masters. He is all set to bid adieu to his competitive career at this years Masters. He would make his forty-third appearance, and it would be his very last. Watson said that people ask him, what is it going to feel like walking up the eighteenth hole, and he really does not know. People do ask him what it would be like walking up the 18th hole, and he tells that e really does not anything about that.

“I do not feel that we would be administered by any amateur organization”, stated Simpson who is seeming offended with no-rulebook aspect of PGA Tour.

“I do love USGA & I am friends with many officials endowed with the responsibility to run this esteemed organization. They work great and it’s remarkable how they come up with possibly the greatest of golf tours in the whole world in U. S. Open. However, we are the sole sport which as in my knowledge, is governed by some amateur organization.”

“What I feel is that there is a disconnect”, he continued.

“Where they would have power & where they must not have power.”

The golf star remarked that it’s not just he who feels that there’re 3-4 rules which simply do not convey any sense for this pro game.

“It is the rules which we still penalizing under the one hundred & fifty guys on the PGA Tour & our 18 rules staff feel that there is the need for change, yet these are not changed”, Webb stressed.

“We must not abide by any sort of rule…that is simply no rule, according to me”, Simpson looked pretty determined with his point.

The Ryder Cup 2014 team member does not feel that too many guys are worried by pending ban on anchored golf putting stroke. According to him, most of them are more concentrated on ticky-tacky rules such as what went wrong with David Frost at Champions Tour. David, the eventual champ of Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic, was penalized as he dropped the ball accidentally on the marker on green.

After he turned professional, Simpson joined the Nationwide Tour where he finished in second place twice. He qualified for the US PGA Tour after finishing tied for seventh in the 2008 PGA Tour Qualifying School. He won his first titles on the US PGA Tour in 2011 when he secured victories in the Wyndham Championship as well as the FedEx Cup playoff event at the Deutsche Bank Championship. These wins ensured Webb Simpson finished second on the money list for the US PGA Tour that season. He was also a part of the United States team that won the Presidents Cup that year.

The pinnacle of his career so far came in 2012 when he won his first major title at the US Open at the Olympic Club. Having shot a two under 68 score in the final round, not many people expected it to be a winning score but it was enough to give Simpson his first taste of a major title with the others chasing him faltering on their scores.

In 2014, Webb Simpson was one of captain Tom Watson’s three wildcard picks for the Ryder Cup team but he did not do justice to his selection, finishing with a record of 0-1-1 in the two matches he played as the United States team lost yet another Ryder Cup match.
