If you remember in my last post I ranted about <tlz>social habitual behaviors</tlz> shared by people on a self conscious level. Well now I’m here to rant about a common recurring action shared by the few (myself included) that finally irked me to the point of bitching about it here.(lol)

So my shitty job has me in a position where I practically see everyone coming in and out of the store almost 100% of the time I’m there. It’s a given that I would make plenty of eye contact with them.(There’s pretty much nothing more to do than push carts and think about what I’m going to do once I get done. Plenty of update ideas are made during this time, including this one lol.)

The majority of the eye contacters are kids ranging from two to ten or so. This contact is pretty harmless and doesn’t bother me as much considering most kids are overly curious in this age range. I usually just make the most goofies face I possible can to try to crack a small out of them. The results are 50/50.

The second group of people whom I find staring me down with pen point accuracy is, well, the everyday individual. (for lack of better words) This didn’t bother me when I first began working because the majority of these individual staring were ladies.(they were doing a pretty bad job at hiding it too) Fast forward a few months and now I’m so sick of this shit. It’s like going to the movies and seeing movie previews better than the movie you’re going to see. Except in this case, all the previews are better than what I see everyday, and I’ll never see those movies! The rest of stare in this category do it with no thought or intention at all. They may look my way for five seconds at best, but then look away and carry on with their life.

But if the people staring only included the two groups I just mentioned I would have never made this rant. The third and final group of individuals make up the extremely minority of the contacters but has pissed me off with their fucking faggotry! These are the individuals who take the time to slow down whatever the hell they’re doing and make a completely directional change just to make the most malice and deadly stare they possible can. And I am not fucking kidding you, they stare so deadly and with so much hostility that I am compelled to look in their direction practically blinded from their overwhelming dark aura.

This is the only one I haven’t figured out. I’ve gotten to the point where I just want to walk right up to this persons face, go super saiyan (if possible), and simply say:

WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT?! WHAT THE FUCK DID I EVER DO TO YOU?! WHY ARE YOU PLOTTING TO KILL ME WITH YOUR NON EXISTING DEATH RAY EYE VISION??!!

Well, there could be a bit more to it, but I don’t want to get into something the internet has beaten to the point of reincarnation. I’ll just end this post with two points.

>>>I hate working in retail.
>>>Fiber cereal makes me shit mountains of poop.

So it’s been a while since I uploaded any art related to school. This is mainly because most of the work I’ve been doing has focus on the studies of the principles and designs of art.(aka very uninteresting 2d-design projects) Finally we are given a project which allows us to extend our imaginations a bit. And what more extension can one have then to draw a scene from the universe!

This project requires us to create 4 different images of the same image using Triad Color (which is what this one is) Complementary Color (will be cut paper) Analogous Color (color pencil) and Monochromatic Color. (color pencil as well) The rest will be completed tomorrow so I might upload the finish product for the heck of it.

Dah dah daaaahhhh, it’s a remake of <tlz>Mikaro</tlz> from <tlz>DenSI 2</tlz>! She will the the host of the up coming game RSX[Spice]! She is happy to be back in the job and glade she doesn’t have to live off cheap ramen anymore.

Despite being so busy with school mid terms and working more hours due to the coming holidays……….*cough*andgaming*cough* I finally got around to working on the game a little. I figure its about time that I announce this game and give it a statue of officially in development; while I’m at it I’ll release a bit of information dealing with the project itself. (game details will come at a later time in development)

(-)First of all, this game will not be free. The price hasn’t been decided on as of yet but I just wanted to make that clear. (Well, that cuts about 80% of you interested)

(-)The game will have a arcade theme similar to my past projects and will indeed be 18+.(Pong, DenSI 1-2)

(-)There will be 7 different ladies to face including a boss; more so, each of those ladies will have 3 different levels to defeat. So roughly there’s a total of 24 levels not including the hidden goodies I plan to put in the game.(note: Mikaro will not be one of the girls, she is just the host)

(-)I plan to have this game released before the end of the year. But anything can happen so take this release date as more of a personal goal.

(-)This will be my most ambitious project I’ve ever attempted to complete in my life. I’m really excited!

(-)I plan to have the game available to buy and download at <tlz>eng.dlsite.com</tlz>. Unfortunately using this site requires that I censor the game.(noooooooo…) There is an alternative however, I can just host the game on my site, nice and uncensored; or I can do both and cause all types of mayhem. Well, more about this dilemma on a later date in development.

(-)As I move along with the development I will release info and images of the ladies that will inhabit the game.(not all of them)

(-)In the coming month or so I will release a demo that will give you a feel for how the full game will play. There will be 2 girls to try out only with their first levels playable.

(-)Last but not least: EVERYTHING I JUST MENTIONED CAN AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Nothing is set in stone with this game. There is only one fact here,THE GAME IS OFFICIALLY IN DEVELOPMENT!

So look forward to it and later dayz!

On October 26 of 2009, Yahoo! GeoCities will be closing down for good. This isn’t surprising considering how horrible of a free service it was especially coming from Yahoo!; the reason I’m bringing it up now is because it is where my web building adventure all began.

Back in about 2001-2002 I started an extremely amateur website under the name of <tlz>http://www.geocities.com/dre788/ </tlz> titled Dre Animation. (no, I didn’t actually do any animation, it’s was just a poorly chosen name) This actually wasn’t my very first attempt at web making. Prior to that I made a page completely dedicated to Dragon Ball, which happened to also host some of my drawings.(which of course were completely dragon ball fanart)

Things were simpler back then. I was just excited I created something that contributed to the growing online sensation. It actually wasn’t until I released my flash game <tlz>DenSI</tlz> (which happened some time in 2003) which resulted in me getting more than just 10-15 people a month.( I don’t know the real number rate because I didn’t keep track of it but the image below should give you an idea of how things turned around)

Following a few months after was the critically acclaimed <tlz>DenSI 2</tlz>. A longer and much more annoying flash game.

<sp>Look forward to seeing her again real soon…</sp>

Simply thanks to these 2 games alone I was able to get this site known to some degree. In 2004 I changed host service from geocities to angletowns(which doesn’t exist anymore ironically) and changed my site name(unofficially at the time) to Allugic.

Thank you geocities, you showed me how simple it was to put together a website. You gave me a free passage way to the web which allowed me to set the foundation for which would become the Allugic empire.

I salute you.

Now die already you piece of shit.

I just meant for this to be quick sketch. Why are they never actually quick!?!?!?!

Oh well, so I got my hands on a new tablet. It’s actually a Wacom this time, and oohhhhhh boy have I been missing out. I rue the day I accepted that piece of shit off brand. Wacom’s are so damn better, man, 4 years wasted on my old crap of a tablet.

This whole image was done with the Wacom tablet from sketch to finish. Despite some perspective issues (curse you perspectives!!!!) I like it.

On the subject of new stuff, I also got me a Sanyo Xacti Full HD Camera and a Epson Artisan 710 Printer.(I really needed a printer, I haven’t had one in years………) They both run great and were well worth the money I will never see again. The HD cam isn’t for purposes of uploading videos so you can see my mug in digital form, I actually got it for extremely general purposes like family trips and conventions.(which RARELY happens)

I guess I’ll take the time to address my lack of updates. Well it all started earlier in the month. I had some major projects due with very little time to do it in. So all my free time went to that. Once I was free I had a choice of updating the site orrrrrrr going out to buy Cross Edge for the ps3. I chose the latter. So I had a kick ass time playing that for a while but then another project came around.(I have a lot of school work this semester for some reason)

So I completed that and now I’m here. I’m going to get started on the game now. I realize my procrastination is getting the best of me nowadays. So expect future updates to focus on that, well, more or less.

So for a while now I’ve been on a personal pursuit to discovery the technique of which a few number of games use to animate their characters and scenes. The search has not been easy, but I finally figured out what it’s called and how it’s done.

This animation technique is called 2.5 Extra Dimension.(2.5Ex.D) This technique is most noticeable in such games as <tlz>Odin Sphere</tlz> and <tlz>Muramasa: The Demon Blade</tlz> and even more noticeable in games made by <tlz>Tinkle Bell</tlz>.(NSFW!!!!!)

I’ve even done a quick animation to show you more of what I’m referring to. Unfortunately I had to compress the file with the all mighty bolt of zeus.
<tlz>Click here to see!</tlz>

The reason I am so interested in this technique is because it gives very smooth animated results without having to depend on vectors(<tlz>flash animation</tlz>). As a result of that, one can achieve what can only be define as “living works of art”. The down side is the finished product comes out with a pretty huge file size.(hence the compression of the example)

As I was searching for a tutorial or at least an explanation of the process, I kept coming up short. Thankfully I was finally able to put the small pieces together and conclude that the animation was being done with Adobe After Effect. I happen to already have this program but never used it.(animation is new ground for me) It has a pretty steep learning curve, especially if your ignorant to 3d meshing/animating in general; delightedly I was able to put together that simplistic example. There are still plenty of things I need to figure out, but the gist is understood.

The process starts in Photoshop; draw and color the image which ever way you want and flatten the image once it’s done. Cut and separate all the parts of the image by layers you want to be animated. This is very important, make sure you have them all on different layers.(ex. separate the mouth from the heard with different layers) Once you’re done, save it as a .psd with a different file name and open up After Effect.

In AF, import that .psd and it should show up with all the different layers separated as it was in Photoshop. Honestly, at this point if you are unfamiliar with AF it would be best to take some time to look around menus and search up on some tutorials.(that’s what I plan to do) Basically, I took the separate layer images and warped them to give the illusion of living images. AF is able to produce this with perfect Photoshop quality output. There are a BUNCH of effects this program offers, not only that but you can alter these different layers on a 3 dimensional plan; giving it the illusion of moving through the image.(living art!)

So, what does this all mean for me? Well, not much yet. I plan to look more into this technique but for the time being, I just wanted to show off the results of my crusade.

Folks, this is never a good way of drawing, but it’s nice to finally be back with the digital pen and pad.

So It’s been over a week since I’ve been back in school. It has also been some time since I did anything art related. Ugh, I’ve been dragging with this god awful feeling of zero drive. Normally I sit at a good 40-50% of drive to creates some work of art. When inspiration hits, that knocks up to 80%-110%. As of late, my drive has been 0-20% and to make it worst, as soon as I get inspiration my drive dives right back to the bottom.

Shit sucks.

Oh well, as history has taught me, I’ll get over it. Actually, things could be worst. I could have been addicted to MMOs again. LOL <sp>But really, I almost got addicted again, I literally forced myself to stop…</sp>(good god this spoiler shit took me forever to get right)

One thing I would like to point out; I know I didn’t update a lot this month.(or the last, or the last before that, etc) But I still managed to get over 1,000 visitor in the month of August. Over 1,090 to be exact.(yup, even more than last months)

I know this is pretty unimportant and uninteresting to know about but it truly means something to me. Well, this will be my last time mentioning the numbers until I hit at least 2,500 in a month.

To rap this post up I will say just this. I am currently working on a project. It is a game, it is adult oriented, and it will not be free. I am still deciding if I should even put anything about it on this site.

Well, don’t worry about it for now, I haven’t even began making it yet so it’s still way’s off. Artwork, updates, and etc. will start again soon, so for now just anticipate later dayz.

I usually only work 3 days out of a week. These 3 days mainly consisting of the weekends. I’ve been neglected over mentioning exactly what I do simply because………well………it’s lame. How lame, as you may ponder in mild excitement. Well, my job is to simply return grocery carts back into the store.

That’s right, I’m a cart attendant.

Yes, the job that barely stands above working at a fast food joint flipping burgers. But don’t get me wrong, I am able to “upgrade” from C.A. to a floor attendant at any time. Although, if I were to do so, there is a good chance I’ll work more hours and lose all my free time which I like to reserve for school, art, etc.

So, the job isn’t all bad.(lots of sun, exercise,……..sun) I’ve been doing this job for a few months now, bringing the carts in as they go out. Again and again, week after week, same ole thing. Slowly, over time, I began to notice patterns. One person would do one thing, then the next person much later in the day would do it again.

At first I didn’t think much of it, but after a while it really started to urk at me. Finally I decided to pay closer attention to these social behaviors share by all of these people. The more I watched, the more surprised I became.(and angry!!!) Here are some examples of what I noticed.

Nobody, I mean NOBODY ever knows that the store closes at 9pm on sunday. I am completely convinced that no one will ever use their common senses to read the front door, look around the parking lot at all the other closing grocery stores, and come to a rational conclusion that maybe, just maybe the store closes early today. I am convinced!!! NOBODY!!!!!!

So I work damn near 8 hours during saturday and sunday.(god, I’m seriously trying to get that changed) And I’ve noticed, not at ANY particular time, there is a rush. This rush of people come into the store, take ALL the carts and leave about a hour later. This doesn’t sound usually if you’re looking at it from a customer or bystander perspective. But from a cart attendant perspective, this shit is enraging! These rush of people take and use carts for the most unnecessary set of reasons. I’ve noticed people using cart to put there 7-8 year olds in. I’ve noticed people using them for a single bag, heck I’ve noticed people only using it so they don’t have to carry their purse! (grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr *explodes*)

After taking the cart to their car and removing all the bags, a lot of the time people will just leave the cart off to the side. COMPLETELY ignoring the cart rails we have well placed so carts won’t get in the way of moving cars. More than often these same people will clear out their carts and allow it to roll into someone elses car. HOLY SHIT! Can people really be that lazy and inconsiderate? I’ve noticed this happen with the person still present at the scene as well.

No one will never know where the restroom is…………EVER.

No one will never realize that the thing they are looking for is right in front of them.(I’ve been a victim of this myself)

People will leave ANYTHING in carts. I mean ANYTHING. Food, drugs, cds, pampers, money, dag nabit I’ve seen it all.

No one bothers to straighten up the carts they’ve tinkered with after coming into store.(resulting in a mess of cart traffic) I’ve noticed younger kids attempting to do so, which made me happy. But every single time their parents would tell them to stop. It’s really shocking actually.

If one person leaves a cart in the middle of the path between the registers and the exit on their way out, everybody else, for some ungodly reason, feels compelled to leave their cart as well. Resulting in the traffic jam, further resulting in complaining.

The most amazing thing about all these shared habits is, no one realizes it. The individual persons believes it’s just something he/she does, thus they never think more of it. Now, don’t get me wrong. These social habits only refer to about 98.27% of the people that come into the store. The rest notice these habits themselves and put an effort not to repeat them.(thank god for these people!!!!!!!)

So in conclusion, if you’re one of these people, F$&K YOU!!!!(jk, jk!!)
