Hi Friends!!! Happy September 1!!! Good morning!

What a GOOD Day! I bless Jesus for today!! As you know, I am engaged and yesterday I tried on wedding gowns!! What a treat! This was my second appointment and I was thrilled! I found one I love!

Also, my sis is a new mom and I plan on going to see my new (and first!) niece today! She will be 2 weeks old on Saturday. She's such a darlin grl. I miss her all the time. They stay 30 mins away (which isn't awful), just gotta make time to go see them, as I am in the process of planning a wedding and scouting some jobs!

God is great and I had to bless Him for all of the wonderful things He is doing in my life. He has blessed me to marry a great man of God, and to have all of the desires of my heart. Truly, I am blessed. Thank God for today and I bless Him for YOU!

So I shopped Old Navy today and I hadn't even planned on it. It was major fun, as always, which is why I went, lol. They ended up having a sale, 30% off everything in the store, excluding "denim." Yeah, I scored with that today, I so didn't think there would be any sale.

I got a pair of ballerina peep toe flats that are a light lilac/purple; very sweet and they are super duper cute. I get a new pair of ballerina's like once every blue moon, not often at all because I don't wear them often enough. One long sleeve, but light-fitting sailor blue and white striped shirt, a yellow tank (don't have one, believe it or not), and a navy blue polka dote scarf which is super cute, and a last minute buy. lol, I eyed it at first but didn't pay it much attention, but when I saw someone carrying one as if they were going to purchase it, I couldn't resist, and added it to my things :D She is sooooo pretty, my navy scarf. My favorite colors for clothing and fabric right now are navy, yellow and purple. And, I ended up being attracted to all of these today.

The ballerina peep toes were $15.75 (incl. 30% off discount), the yellow tank and the blue sailor long sleeved striped shirt were both $3.48 each (incl. 30% off discount), and the polka dot scarf was $8.75 (incl. 30% off discount).

Popular primetime news show, Nancy Grace, will be placing the spotlight on 50 missing persons cases beginning this week, throughout the next two months. "Nancy Grace: America's Missing" airs Monday to Sunday beginning at 9 p.m. EST on HLN.

Grace is known for provocative news casts, in an effort to provoke dialogue among homicide and crime experts, and the public. Popular stories include the Casey Anthony case, of which Grace provided around-the-clock nightly news coverage. Missing persons date back as far as 20 to 30 years.

"Anything that can move a case forward to me would be worth it," says Grace. "If a case gets solved that would be like a blessing from heaven."

Grace intends on showcasing several minority missing persons cases, as many of these stories are lost amidst the outrageous coverage given to missing Caucasian women.

oDesk, the Premier WAH Bidding Site

OK it's Saturday and what better day to sign up with oDesk than today! I usually find new opportunities on the weekends because this is when I have my most sufficient free time.

By now you should know that WAH generally stands for "work-at-home." This is what I have been doing from home part-time lately and I expect with more opportunities overall, to make it full-time. I wanted to share oDesk with you because I have been doing so well on there. I never thought that I'd be able to make such great supplemental (for me it's primary!) income on any kind of website.

I want to go ahead and say that when you do sign up, please use my referral link as I will get credit for your signing up. So, oDesk is a work-at-home bidding site where you bid on each assignment-- you're more or less competing with others for the same position (just like in the "real world," right!). It's very easy. No exaggeration there.

You read the employers job description and if you fit the bill, you click a button that says "apply" and you cater your cover letter to that employer and his special job posting. You don't even have to submit a resume!! Just make your cover letter really good and especially for that job posting so they know it's not generic.

Before any of this, you must create a profile and pass an "oDesk Readiness Test," with about 40 questions, which determines your level of seriousness about applying for jobs on oDesk. People who are serious about working from home have no issue with this whatsoever as this is the equivalent of studying for an exam for a class or something. I recommend filling out your oDesk profile as full as you can make it (mine is 90% filled out). This includes, writing your resume in their resume boxes, choosing your fee (how much you'd like to be getting-- be modest at first), taking various oDesk tests related to your skills-set and scoring well, and also uploading portfolio samples.

This may seem like a huge task to do, but guess what, that's what applying for jobs in the "real world" are. Once you get going it will possibly be a cakewalk, but you gotta get in there first.

Word to the wise-- if you would like to "get some experience" (ie; HOURS registered on your oDesk profile) you can go for the short-term $3/hr positions; I say "short-term" because there's no way you want to get stuck working $3/hr for an ongoing position, amen!! Whew.

Since working with oDesk, I have landed two ongoing jobs working through the website, one at $7/hr and the other at a sweet $9/hr. I have made $978 as of mid-December 2010, since September 2010. I was trying to be mum about it, but I know how important it is that you hear of my successes. So, go get those jobs on oDesk! Happy job hunting and thank you for using my referral link, friends!!

I decided to stock up on Christmas wrapping paper, gift bows, gift tags (sooo nice, not the sticky kind, these are removable!) and gift bags!!! Might as well, won't have to buy any with my money for a while, hehehe!

The trick is to not buy more than what your coupon is for; ie; $10 off $10 coupon, only buy $10 worth or closest to it and just pay tax.

Also got another $2 coupon for the survey :biggrin::biggrin: so all in all I still have 2 $5/$5 Q's and 2 $2 survey Q's. Yaay :) What did I spend my other $10/$10 coupons on? This gorgeous embroidered pink and green "W" fabric keychain, fillers like tealight candles, and two baby Yankee pumpkin & spice scent candles!
