It was high time really….considering how the media made the relations between Aishwarya Rai and Madhur Bhandarkar worse and worse. Finally the common sense prevailed despite media efforts, and both have resolved their differences over the cancellation of the film “Heroine”.

Amitabh Bachchan ended the ‘pregnant’ silence from the Bachchan camp after Bhandarkar posted a rejoinder on his blog to Bachchan’s earlier Twitter posts suggesting that Bhandarkar and UTV had acted spitefully by dropping the film just because Aishwarya was pregnant.

Amitabh Bachchan, who was in Ahmedabad yesterday to promote Bbuddha Hoga Tera Baap, announced the reconciliation when asked to comment on the controversy created by his initial remarks and Bhandarkar’s rejoinder.

In his blog post, Bhandarkar elaborated the reasons that forced him to cancel Heroine. He pointed out the role in the adult themed film would have required Aishwarya to smoke, be in the company of smokers and in the midst of crowds, all of which would have been unsafe for her due to her pregnancy.

Bhandrakar also voiced his hurt that Aishwarya didn’t confide in him about her pregnancy before filming started.

UTV and Bhandarkar have lost a lot of money on account of the film’s cancellation after shooting started, besides many technicians have lost their jobs on the project

Announcing the reconciliation in Ahmedabad, Bachchan said:

“This is a matter between the producer and Aishwarya, and I cannot comment on it.

“When I was asked (previously) what I have to say, I had said that they (Aishwarya and Bhandarkar) would sort it out, and in fact they have sorted it out,” he said.

“(Despite this) if some person expresses his feelings about it he has the right to do it. And then others will also express their feelings on the issue and this way whatever is the truth, will come out,” Bachchan said.

All’s well that ends well i guess. We at AishwaryaWeb.com are pretty sure that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Madhur Bhandarkar will definitely team up again. Of course not on the “Heroine” project, but something may be even better, even more demanding, more challenging. Will have to wait and see….

Usually, all actresses take a long break from their film career, post pregnancy. Aishwarya Rai, however, wont be taking a long long break from her film career after she becomes a mother. Aishwarya recently hinted her intent to pursue film career and showbiz, post pregnancy, when she signed up for a new movie by Viacom 18.

The film start it’s production at the end of 2012 and Aishwarya will start acting for the film around the time when Junior Junior Bachchan or Little Miss world will turn an year old.

The Times of India were the first to report that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has signed a new film.  They quoted Vikram Malhotra, COO Studio 18, as saying:

“We’ve signed Aishwarya for a film that starts late 2012. We’ve discussed a couple of exciting script ideas that she has liked. She has committed to doing the film next year. She will be consulted for the final subject of the film,” Vikram Malhotra, COO Studio 18 told TOI.

“The scripts have been selected keeping her stature in mind. We will soon finalize a project in close consultation with her,” he added.

Studio 18 has a good equation with the Bachchans; they were co-producers of Paa, and this weekend’s release, Bbuddah – Hoga Terra Baap, along with Bachchan’s ABB Corp. Studio 18 are also producers of currently filming “Players” in which Abhishek Bachchan plays the lead role.

UTV and Madhur Bhandarkar may have written her off, but Aishwarya Rai will continue to pursue her showbiz career post pregnancy. She has signed on for a new film with Viacom 18, her manager Archana Sadanand confirmed. News of Aishwarya’s pregnancy prompted UTV and Madhur Bhandarkar to drop their under production film Heroine, headlining the 37-year-old first time mama-to-be, sparking a debate on how Bollywood producers should deal with actresses becoming pregnant in the middle of a project.

Malhotra of Studio 18 is against a no pregnancy clause in a contract, as has been suggested by some.

“It is a small industry and though it is valid to protect the interest of the producer, instead of enforcing something in the contract, it is better to sit and sort it out,” Malhotra told HT.

On June 20th midnight, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted to his fans “NEWS NEWS NEWS !! I AM GOING TO BECOME A GRANDFATHER .. AISHWARYA EXPECTING .. SO HAPPY AND THRILLED !!!” So there is the confirmation by the Big B himself :)

It was just minutes that Amitabh disclosed the news, the family was flooded with congratulatory messages in both real and virtual worlds. “Overwhelmed with your wishes and blessings. 2843 new tweets in half an hour! Thank you all! Your affection and love is so touching” Amitabh Bachchan tweeted later.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, who recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, this April, will be expecting their first child. The pair thanked their fans on Wednesday evening. They said “We are very happy and would like to thank all our well-wishers for their love, support and blessings“.

Abhishek Bachchan, is running high on emotions as he admits last night, as he quotes “We’ve all been trying to inform all our close friends about it. How do I feel? It’s not sunk in yet. There’s been no time. We’re still busy sharing the news with our friends. The realization will come later. Right now I’m, kind of, numb. It’s a big moment, yes.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, feels quiet the same way however is much more composed. She said “I guess it couldn’t be kept quiet. So now you know why I’ve been trying to stay out of the public eye lately. It’s still to sink in, really. Of course, Abhishek and I are super happy. But it is a matter of happiness for our entire family. And that makes all the difference“.

Amitabh Bachchan’s next tweets were:
“The child of Abhishek and Aishwarya shall be the first Bachchan of the generation after my brother and me …” soon followed by another tweet with clarification saying
“Clarifying : Amitabh and Ajitabh , first generation Bachchan … then Abhishek and Bhim and now Abhisheks and Aishwarya’s …”

Priyanka Chopra too showed her excitement as she tweeted “Congrats. Awesome news! Lets make way for the legacy to go forward”.

Aishwarya Rai is currently in Madhur Bhandarkar’s project called Heroine which is supposed to be finished with 45 days. So anytime in November, the film shooting shall be completed. Will Aishwarya’s pregnancy effect the shoot. Well, apparently, there is no reason why it will effect. According to a source “Madhur is not worried about Heroine’s promotions or how Ash’s pregnancy will affect the film’s success. We shouldn’t forget that Ash is a popular and successful actress and her getting married didn’t affect her fan following. She enjoys a loyal fan following and it will not be affected by her becoming a mom.” He also said “Madhur is looking to release the film around November this year and the promotional activities will be planned to suit Ash. For sure, the soon-to-be mom will be pampered by not just her family but her directors and co-stars too on the sets.”

After “Heroine”, Aishwarya Rai will not be seen on Silver Screen for a long long time…

Aishwarya Rai looked extremely gorgeous and yet again, turned heads because of her unique fashion style. Aishwarya looked sophisticated and awesomely beautiful in the peach Elle Saab gown. She topped that with a same colored loose jacket, that added class and sophistication to her looks. But it was the peach colored hat tat did the magic and she looked nothing less than some queen. Well, to be fair, she is already the reigning queen in our hearts. :)

Aishwarya wore a pair of very beautiful Giambattista Valli 120 deerskin metal ankle cuff sandals. Her make up was more than worth admiring. Shiny glossy lips and a sassy eye-shadow made her look picture perfect from head to toe. And yes, she accessorized herself with a chic watch (obviously of the brand “Longines”) and two rings and a golden bracelet. She kept her hair the natural way and she is just looked awesome throughout. Oh Jesus! I have stopped making sense now. I madly in love with her and my feelings are over powering my speech power. And yet am unable to write much…… sensibly.

Aishwarya Rai did sign autographs for the fans at Prix de Diane horse race. She was admired by everyone. Aishwarya’s mother Mrs. Vrinda Rai is accompanying her at France. It’s being told they will attending various other functions at France, in the next few days. Aishwarya Rai is back on the film sets. It was a long break from acting, considering the fact that it has been 9 months now that she gave a shot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish opposite co-star Hrithik Roshan. Well, This time, Aishwarya is shooting for the much anticipated Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie “Heroine“. It is special in many ways, but what i like the most challenging is that the film production is supposed to be wrapped in just 45 days. Phew! That will take some hard work. I hope this speed doesn’t effect the performances and storyline and the whole outcome of the movie.

Madhur Bhandarkar, a national award winning director, (if you don’t already know) is super excited with his most ambitious project ever. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a part of the mahurat scene as the production of the movie begins today on June 7th 2011. It’s Tuesday. And i read an interesting fat about Madhur Bhandarkar in today’s Times of India newspaper. It says “Madhur, who is a devotee of lord Ganesha, has been following a trend of starting his movies on Tuesday as he considers it a lucky day for him. It is believed that just like every Tuesday he visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai today morning and then began the shoot.” Well, i believe it’s the director’s hard work, which got him real success. Because God helps those who help themselves. :)

Aishwarya Rai is the leading actress in the movie Heroine. There are two male leads i.e. Arjun Rampal and Arunodya Singh. Pretty interesting star cast, i must say. Aishwarya’s looks in the film is kept a secret but it will be Manish Malhotra who will be styling Aishwarya in the film. The movie “Heroine” was announced in May at the Cannes Film Festival.

According to press notes from Cannes “The film is based on the life and times of a superstar heroine from Bollywood. It is said to be an entertaining, daring, emotional, shocking, glamorous, scandalous behind the scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamor that the film stars inhabit. For a country obsessed with films and film stars, Heroine will take audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of make up rooms and vanity vans. It will give them a chance to go beyond the gorgeous smiles and politically correct quotes, to see what really happens in the lives of India’s sweethearts – The sniping & the politics, the secrets & the lies, the incredible highs of fame & the lonely depths of failure.”

Madhur Bhandarkar considers this movie to be his magnum opus. Infact Madhur has made the entire Heroine cast and crew sign a non disclosure agreement and banned media and visitors from the film’s set, to preclude a plot leak. I like it. Becausepreviews and teasers kills the story sometimes. This is going to be better :)

Except the fim to be released somewhere in November this year. Madhur Bhandarkar hasn’t announced the release date though. We will just keep a lookout on the news for further details.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan are really traveling a lot these days. This is the third event function within this week that Aishwarya appeared at. The other two being GQ Awards in Kalina, Mumbai and later on at Georgio Armani’s Fashion Show at Milan.

Anyhow, Roberto Cavalli’s 40th Anniversary party at Les Beaux-Arts de Paris, France on September 29 and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked drop dead gorgeous in a silver Roberto Cavalli gown. It was just magical how she looked like at the function. Different hairstyle and bit of transformation from beautiful to smoking hot gal. She looked incredible. She was accompanied with Abhishek Bachchan and he looked debonair in his black suit. Anyhow, Aishwarya Rai looked resplendent and even Roberto Cavalli himself couldn’t stop from tweeting. He said on his twitter page “Aishwarya Rai is here, she’s beautiful!” :)

As for Aishwarya Rai, she wore a super sparkly fish scale gown with train. She accessorized with blue clutch with sparkly band detail, silver heels, and stud earrings. Her hair was styled in flirty curls with a middle parting. She wore smoky eye makeup and plum glossy lipstick.

After the fashion week at Milan, it is believed that Roberto Cavalli invited his closest friends and celebrities and associates at the gala dinner for 800 in Paris. Believe it or not, this event cost him close to $2 million. Phew!!! Now that’s what i call a partyyyyy. Roberto also announced his book at the occasion which is all about his 40 years in the fashion business.

Other big celebrities and stars that added grace to the party and wore their choice of Roberto Cavalli’s creations included Janet Jackson, Taylor Swift, Rachel Bilson, Heidi Klum, Karolina Kurkova, Leona Lewis, Bar Rafaeli, Naomi Campbell, Leigh Lezark and Natalia Vodianova.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and hubby Abhishek Bachchan attended the Georgio Armani Fashion show at Milan, on September’ 27th. This was the last day of the Milan’s Fashion Week.

Aishwarya wore the basic Armani silhouette to the fashion show event, which comprised of a long sleeve silky black fitted tunic top, over long flared trousers. She accessorized with black pumps, black clutch, diamond stud earrings, and two rings on her right hand. Her hair, colored reddish brown, was styled with side parting and bottom curls.

Anyways, Aishwarya and Abhishek weren’t the only celebrities at the show. There were also likes of George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green also graced the event.

This year’s Armani show was inspired by “Turaeg” who are group of Muslim nomads of the “Sahara”. Models wore blue knotted turbans and black in particular. Aishwarya Rai turned heads in a floor sweeping Alberta Ferretti chiffon gown at GQ Men of the Year Awards 2010 at Hotel Grand Hyatt in Kalina, Mumbai on Sunday, September 26. She was accompanied to the event by husband Abhishek Bachchan.

AishwaryaRai Bachchan, wore a sleeveless gown with a draped skirt and fitted ruched bodice; it had jewel detail on the neck and shoulders. She accessorized with diamond stud earrings and a glittery clutch.

Her side swept hair, styled in structured waves, draped her left shoulder. She wore bronze lipstick, thick eyeliner and silver eye shadow.

Abhishek looked dapper in a three piece black suit, red and white tie and cropped hair.

The couple sat on the same table as John Travolta and bonded with each other. Aishwarya Rai presented John Travolta the GQ Legend award.

Abhishek Bachchan, who is on the cover of GQ’s latest issue, won the GQ Ultimate Man, while Aishwarya bagged the Excellence award.

She wore plum lipstick and smoky eye makeup. This event actually just happened before the event of “Launch Of Guzaarish’s First Look” where she was accompanied by Hrithik Roshan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan talked about her role in the movie and how she enjoyed the experience of working with the entire team. She was all praises for director Shankar for and praised him for outdoing himself in each of his movies. She also said that she is lucky to have got the opportunity to work with him.

In turn, Shankar had a alot to say for Aishwarya as well. He said that Aishwarya was more like a hero in the film. She worked tirelessly on the set starting 7am until pack up time, and stayed involved in the film, its making and the techniques used for production.

Apparently this was just last film Aishwarya was working in, so she is done filming for the year 2010. She will probably relax a little and then get busy promoting her films Guzaarish, Robot and Action Replay. And you thought these celebrities have an easy life. Someone correctly mentioned, that “Aishwarya makes good styling look effortless, something it is not, even when you are so insanely beautiful”. She paired her dark blue jeans with three quarter length sleeve top that had keyhole bateau neckline and scalloped hem. She accessorized with black heels, stud earrings, a gold bangle in her left arm, a watch in her right arm, and rings on both her hands. Her dark brown hair, styled in loose waves, framed her face and draped her shoulders.

“Guzaarish is a very very special film and a very very special team that has come together,” Aishwarya told the assembled press. “Everybody has worked passionately for it. It is a beautiful piece of cinema and we are all very proud of it.”

Hrithik said his role in Guzaarish was his most difficult as well as the easiest. “Easiest because I managed to essay it under the guidance of Bhansali,” said the actor.

Guzaarish is Aishwarya’s third film with Bhansali. While each film with the director is an amazing experience, the latest project was exceptional, said the actress.

“Guzaarish is a beautiful piece of cinema,” she said. When asked about she and Hrithik being referred to as the magical pair of silver screen having delivered hits like Dhoom 2 and Jodha Akbar, Aishwarya said she works with directors and not co-stars.

“We actors play characters that the director envisages. I am fortunate to have worked with wonderful co-stars throughout my career,” she said.

Bhansali refused to divulge details of the film saying it was too early to do so. “The film is about the beauty, hope and the joy of living,” he said. Bhansali has debuted as a music composer for the film. “I did the music because I understand the characters well. This was just an experiment. There are eight songs in the film and 12 in the music album,” said the director.
