Hey, gang. I'm back from Greece and ready to commence my last 30 days of P90X. I probably could have began in my last 10-14 days in Greece but I was right off my game plan and was not mentally ready.

Nonetheless, I maintained a decent diet and spent a lot of time in the water + a little time in the gym lifting light weights that didn't involve my hip.

I can tell you that despite not working out, I felt better than ever once the swelling and bruising from the car accident was done. Have to say that on every occasion I was the fittest or among the fittest guys around the pool/beach. I can only imagine what the results would have been like had I not been interrupted.

I had 23 days left to go on my P90X but I'm going to re-start from 30 days back to give me the extra week to get my body/metabolism back on track.

It's a Saturday night and I'm about to do some Kenpo, so that should tell you everything you need to know about my dedication. I'll be unveiling the results on Friday, September 11th (I figure everyone will have more important things on their mind on Labor Day).

Onward and upward gang. I'll be posting everyday from here on in.

Peace.

[Corporate Update] P90X On Hold After Car Accident In Greece

Hey, gang. Looks like P90X will be on hold for a couple of weeks after a pretty wicked car accident here in Greece. It happened on Wednesday in the middle of a clear, sunny day.

I'll spare you the details but suffice it to say it was violent and I'm lucky to have made it through with an injury to my right hip area. The offending driver fled the scene.

I think 2 weeks should be enough time to get back to P90X ready. I can walk around, etc but my right hip area has swelled from the impact and I can't even put on most pants right now. Shame because I was comfortably fitting into 38 but the swelling protrudes a few inches.

Doctors say no internal injuries and hip bone looks fine so far. Ultrasound tomorrow. Swelling should subside in 7 days and pain should be gone in 10 days. Very difficult getting in and out of bed, cars, etc.

Sucks big time because I was hell bent on a strong July finish right into the 23rd.

I've located a local swimming pool in the area and will put in 30-45 minutes per day to keep active. Diet will have to be super sharp to make sure I don't give back too much. Again, that sucks because my plan was to workout 1/day + add in 30 minutes of alternating skipping and push up sessions to blast through the last 3 weeks while on vacation and only minimally distracted by work.

Now I'll have to complete the bulk of my last 3 weeks back in Toronto while catching up on work. At the same time, I can't truly enjoy the vacation given the difficulty I have sleeping on my right side (my default sleeping side).

Suffice it to say I am pissed at that scenario. Yes, very fortunate to be in pretty good shape because it could have been much worse ... but still frustrated. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Hope my Canadian buddies had a great July 1 and American buddies have a great July 4. I know both are enjoying extended weeekends.

Peace

Gang, sorry for being absentee for the past couple of weeks. I had the Cambridge Conference in Vancouver + the Reverse Merger Conference in Las Vegas back to back. AGORACOM wasn't merely an attendee, we were a sponsor at both and I presented keynote speaches at both.

As such, I had a ton of prep time before and then spent most of my days working during the conferences.

HERE IS THE GOOD NEWS: I took my P90X DVD's with me and didn't skip a beat while I was away. Paul was blown away by the commitment and some of the results starting to show through.

I haven't weighed myself since last week but I have stalled around 242. Having said that, I have definitely put on muscle mass, which is definitely adding weight.

I promise to post more regulary now that I am back ... though I leave for Europe at the end of the month and will have to complete my last 3 weeks in the motherland. Feels like Ali going back to Africa to fight for the title :-)

Peace.

Hey, gang. Wanted to let you know Week 4 completed a couple of days ago and I weighed in at 242, which puts me at about 18 pounds lighter than when I began.

I've started Week 5 and did Plyometrics this morning. It was a near death experience. Still can't get used to that routine. Even Tony Horton, the instructor, takes a quick pause with 20 minutes left.

I can feel inches are gone (waist, etc.) and added (biceps, etc.) where you most want them to.

I am genuinely pumped about where I will be 6.5 weeks from now. I highly encourage everyone of you to make the life changing decision and dedicate 30-60 minutes per day exercising. I do 60/day but you can do at least 30/day and still create a significant positive impact on your heatlh. Your body and your loved ones will appreciate it.

Things have slowed down on this HUB, so I'll post a newsflash this weekend to get people coming back.

Regards,

Had to do my session around 11:30 last night but I did it and feel great. The wife, PK and others are noticing the body shape changes already - but I think most of the changes are going to really kick in after week 4 when the compounding of my efforts start to add up. Kind of like when interest income starts to compound.

Most important thing is sticking to a good diet. In can get challenging on occasion but not as tough as I thought due to the wide variety of foods available. The only things I'm missing out on are:

Chocolate and chocolate milk

French Fries

Excessive bread (still have 1 -2 slices per day)

Excessive cheese (still have 1-2 ounces of feta per day)

Otherwise, I'm chugging along and feeling great.

After knocking down the first week, I've now moved onto week 2, which is a repeat of week 1. In fact, the same routine repeats for a total of 3 weeks.

Today, I felt shoulder muscles that I hadn't felt since I was in high school. They haven't grown back to that size :-) but they are being woken up.

Oddly enough though, I don't feel the same burn as last week. Perhaps last week was simply a lot more pain? I know I'm not plateauing yet :-)

The best news is that I don't see me stopping until the end. Have to admit of that fear in week #1 based simply on the pain and not being sure if my body could take it for 90 days. It was a 5% concern - but it was a concern.

Onwards and upwards!

[Corporate Update] Day 4, 5 and 6 - Done !!! + Unbelievable Circumstances

Hey, gang. Monday night at 8:45 and Week #1 is finished. I feel unbelievable. 84 more days of this and I am going to get ripped !!

UNBELIEVABLE CIRCUMSTANCES

So what was so unbelievable? 5 ... Yes 5 parties this weekend:

1 name day party

1 wedding

2 birthday parties

1 tribute to a friend party

The schedule was hectic, the food was abundant .... and held to both the schedule and the diet!

HIGHLIGHTS OF WEEK #1

Days 1 - 3 brought a tremendous amount of pain the morning after every workout. I don't remember that kind of muscle pain ever. Paul saw me on Saturday morning at the first of 3 parties for that day and immediately knew I had both stuck to the workouts and was getting punished.

Amazingly, Days 4 - 6 brought both an energy resurgence and a 75% drop in pain levels. It was as if my body had accepted the oncoming pain and adjusted to it.

Yoga Is A @#$ I had never done Yoga in my life and thought the Yoga day was going to be a cakewalk. It picked me up, threw me around the room, stomped on me and left me for dead. As much as I am looking forward to repeating each session and giving back some of the pain they dealt me, I am utterly not looking forward to Yoga.

Overall, a great week. Going into week 2 I have the advantage of now knowing the routines and completing them with near perfect form for the next 2 weeks (then I get a fresh set of 6 routines thrown at me to create muscle confusion).

Moreover, I'm feeling much more comfortable with the diet portion of the program. I'm actually consuming 3,500 calories per day, so I'm not starving - but the skill comes by creating the perfect mix of protein, carbs, fruits, vegetables, etc.

THANK-YOU

A Million THANKS!! to all of you for your support and inspiration. It has meant a lot and will continue to propel me through the next 86 days. I am hell bent on completing this program and giving it my all in the process. If I can, I should be a completely different person by the end - and should have the foundation to follow through on a healthy life for the next 50 years.

Peace.

We celebrated St. George's day today with 30 family and friends, so there wasn't a minute to spare during the day. Most departed by 10:30 (great time) and then came clean up + put the kids to bed.

All said and done, it was 12:15 AM and I could have called it a night. I didn't. Completed Day #3 + an extra 15-minute of abs to boot at 2:14 AM.

Thanks for the inspiration gang. I've often let myself down when it comes to getting my physical health into the black ... but you've inspired me not to let you down.

For those of you reading this on Saturday morning, plan to get 30 minutes of exercise in today. Go for a walk, a swim, bike ride ... whatever it takes.

You push me, I push you.

That makes 3 serious workouts in 32 hours. I am aching but not as bad as I would have thought. Posting here actually makes me feel better.

Off to sleep. Way to late but I'll put in 5 1/2 hours to make it reasonable.

The countdown clock has stopped ticking folks and I'm strapped in for the ride.

Have to tell you that I'm experiencing a great mix of 80% adrenaline / 20% fear. The adrenaline comes from putting myself to the test and reaping great benefits. The fear comes from the fact this is a very challenging program and many have failed it.

TEAM EFFORT

I'm glad to have all of you in here. By putting myself on the record and on the line, I feel an extra sense of duty to complete it for the sake of providing leadership to those of you who are looking to take control of your health - and partnership for those of you that are already way ahead of me.

In essence, I'm leading and following at the same time. My hope is that we create a fantastic sub-community within AGORACOM that is dedicated to the health and wellness of our members.

Then, we can storm pretty much any AGM from the web or the ground! :-)

My workouts are scheduled for late afternoon, so I'll let you know how the first one went.

Until then, make sure you begin or continue to make changes (big or small) that will benefit your body and soul.

3:32 AM and I just finished final prep for P90X. I have a binder with 10 tabs that neatly organize my workouts and nutrition. If Tony Romo prepped like this before the playoffs rather than go vacation with Jessica, the Cowboys would be Superbowl champs.

Have to go out tomorrow and buy a couple of small things (heart rate monitor, etc.). Otherwise, I'm ready to go and feel as if I'm in the right mindset. What makes this easier is the fact that I'm not burdened with some crazy diet. I can choose from a wide variety of good stuff, as long as I keep portions under control.

The workout, on the other hand, is what I am really looking forward to. I've heard the workouts are tough, so I'm looking forward to the challenge.

It's Sunday morning, Greek Orthodox Easter and I'm about to face an onslaught of food that rivals any feast you have ever seen. Nothing wrong with that. Celebrations are meant to be celebrated.

Unfortunately, I'm doing a lot of celebrating but not enough exercising. My plan to begin taking better care of myself after my 40th birthday in 2008 was right on target - then the global financial crisis hit.

I sat in front of computers and on conference calls around the clock. I was spending more time attending to the business than ever - and my health was suffering. I'm as heavy as I have ever been and continuing down this path is a certain recipe for disaster.

I've lived a blessed life and want to live this life for as long as I can.

TIME TO MAKE CHANGES

Time to make changes - and I'd love to include you on the ride.

Personally, I am beginning the PX90 program on Wednesday. It'll kick my ass for 90 days and get me back on track - but that is just the beginning. You can't create a healthy life in just 90 days. You have to live a healthy life every day of your life.

To be clear, I'm not about to take the fun out of life and measure broccoli portions. But I know I can do far better than I'm doing now - and I am sure many of you feel the same way.

You don't have to be on the P90X program - just be on some kind of program. Walk everyday, play sports, do pushups in front of the TV everyday, choose souvlaki over pizza. You get the idea.

COMMUNITY HEALTH KNOWLEDGE

Like our stock HUBS, I'm looking forward to gaining incredible knowledge pertaining to exercise, diet and well being from all of you.

Most importantly, I'm looking forward to helping each and every one of you live a healthier life - and vice-versa. We've already proven that we can accomplish great things together, so there is no reason why we can't create healthier lives together.

As much as some web owners want you glued to their site 24 hours per day, I'd rather have you using the site for years and years to come.

I'm off to enjoy Easter - with a bigger emphasis on the people than the food.

Regards,
George
