Move to Bulletin Board Will Give Lantis Fully Reporting Status

DENVILLE, N.J., April 1, 2009 -- Lantis Laser Inc. (Pink Sheets:LLSR) (http://www.lantislaser.com), announced today that it has filed a 15(c) 2-11 with FINRA to obtain a quotation on the OTC Bulletin Board. Stan Baron, President & CEO, pointed out that being a fully reporting company will provide the transparency and credibility that investors require in today's economic environment. Lantis filed an S-1 with the SEC which was deemed effective on February 17, 2009.

Lantis is developing a diagnostic imaging platform based on breakthrough, light-based technology that will provide the dentist with high resolution information, at up to 10 times x-ray, that is currently unobtainable. The company is building a combination diagnostic imaging platform that deploys the same light source and wavelength to enable optical coherence tomography (OCT) and Near Infrared transillumination (NIR) to be delivered for chairside scanning in a mobile cart. Lantis also intends selling the NIR as a standalone product as it provides significantly higher resolution than x-rays and without any ionizing radiation.

These two synergistic technologies provide for fast screening of teeth with NIR, and detailed structural information of decay and defects in tissue with OCT. This will give the dentist the ability to detect decay at a much earlier stage and arrest or reverse it with chemical rather than surgical means. Most importantly, OCT/NIR can provide detailed diagnostic information of the occlusal (biting surface) that is unobtainable with x-ray and where 80% of decay occurs. Dentistry is moving towards adopting Minimally Invasive Dentistry but currently lacks the imaging devices to detect the earliest stages of disease and defects.

The potential market for these products is large, with an estimated 200,000 dental offices in the U.S., Europe, Japan and other advanced countries practicing in an estimated 500,000 treatment rooms. Lantis has secured rights for these technologies based on its exclusive licensing and strategic component supply agreements.

Introduction of these diagnostic imaging modalities to the dental market is targeted for early 2010 after obtaining FDA clearance. OCT has been successfully commercialized in the field of ophthalmology by Zeiss Meditec who recently announced that it had sold 10,000 systems. OCT application in the cardiovascular field is expected to be the next major application to be commercialized. OCT is ideal for bio-medical imaging and research in many areas, including dermatology, cancer detection and optical biopsy.

About Lantis Laser

Lantis was formed to commercialize the application of novel technologies in the dental industry. The criteria for selected products include competitive edge, exclusivity and large market potential. Lantis has rights to the application of OCT technology in the field of dentistry under its license Agreements with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (exclusive) and LightLab Imaging (non-exclusive). Lantis also has exclusive rights to MEMS scanning technology from the University of Florida. The Company has an exclusive licence with The Regents of the University of California for the Near-infrared Imaging Technology (patent pending) and an exclusive development and supply Agreement with Axsun Technologies for its advanced OCT Engine. OCT was invented in the early 1990's at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Lantis Signs Exclusive Rights in Dentistry for Novel Light-Based Diagnostic Screening Technology

Near-infrared Transillumination Imaging Provides More Detailed Images than X-ray

Denville, N.J. – March 17, 2009 – Lantis Laser Inc. (Pink Sheets: LLSR - News) (http://www.lantislaser.com) today announced that it has signed an exclusive Agreement for the field of human and animal dentistry with the Regents of the University of California for a light-based technology referred to as “Near-infrared Transillumination Imaging of Early Dental Decay.” The technology (“NIR Imaging”) is the subject of a PCT patent pending application and was researched and developed over the past five years under the direction of Daniel Fried, PhD, a professor of Biomaterials and Bioengineering in the Department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry.

Stan Baron, President & CEO of Lantis said, “NIR Imaging is the perfect technology to integrate with Lantis’ OCT Dental Imaging System ™, currently under development, as it can be used to screen for decay and defects in teeth and OCT can then be used to obtain more detailed microstructural information to aid in diagnostic decisions. We believe that the significant benefits of the integrated system will be very apparent to dentists. NIR and OCT use the same light source so there are obvious pricing economies in a combined system.”

Dr Craig Gimbel, Clinical Director at Lantis added that, “Research clearly indicates that NIR Imaging as a screening modality provides significantly more detailed information, particularly on the occlusal (biting) surfaces, than currently used x-ray, digital or conventional. We have been aware of the benefits of NIR technology for some time and recent advancements in sensor technology now make commercialization possible, at an economic cost. We feel that we have reached the point where the full potential of light-based diagnostic imaging technology can now be exploited to create highly advanced and economical diagnostic imaging modalities for dentistry.”

Lantis expects that the NIR Imaging System will be available in 2010 and will be integrated with its OCT Dental Imaging System ™, as well as being available as a stand-alone system. OCT can generate images of both teeth and gums, while NIR can only be used to image teeth above the bone line. Both modalities will provide chairside, real-time images at a higher resolution than x-ray and images can be stored in the patient digital file. Lantis management foresees that light-based imaging will become the dominant imaging modality in the dental office.

About Lantis Laser
Lantis was formed to commercialize the application of novel technologies in the dental industry.

President & CEO Highlights Developments of Lantis’ Advanced Dental Imaging Platform

DENVILLE, N.J., March 3, 2009 -- Lantis Laser Inc. (LLSR:PK - News) (http://www.lantislaser.com), , announced today that Stan Baron, President & CEO, released an official Update Letter to shareholders. Lantis is developing ground breaking light-based diagnostic imaging technology for application in dentistry.

Fellow Shareholders:

Firstly I wish to thank our investors for their patience and understanding during what, in some ways, has been a difficult year. It has also been a year in which we have made significant advances as we move towards our vision of marketing the most advanced integrated diagnostic imaging platform for dentistry.

On the corporate side, we are pleased to report that after a lengthy Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) review process, Lantis’ stock registration filing for listing a portion of its common shares on the Over the Counter Bulletin Board (OTC-BB) Exchange was ‘deemed effective’ on February 17, 2009. During the review period, the Company’s ability to update shareholders with material information on our progress was limited. Having received SEC approval, the company has commenced the next phase in the listing process of obtaining approval from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

Lantis had planned to initiate the next round of funding at this stage and management is now dedicated to obtaining the required financing to complete product development and transition to an operational company. From the time of funding, the OCT development time line including obtaining FDA clearance is anticipated to be approximately 12 months, with product market introduction now targeted for Q1 2010.

It should be noted that during the period from February to October 2008, the company had funds tied up in the auction rate securities market and this illiquidity hampered the product development cycle. These securities were later purchased by our bankers at par value with no loss to the company. under the terms of a settlement with New York State and regulatory authorities

The Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) product development cycle has moved along well and all fundamental technological hurdles have been overcome successfully. With the move in mid 2008 to a new advanced OCT Engine, auxiliary components had to be upgraded and I am pleased to report that all components are functional. We will need to complete another design and fabrication cycle for two key components, after which time these components will be deployed in the beta systems for pre-production . It is anticipated that this cycle will take between 4 and 6 months and can only be commenced upon completion of the next round of funding. The OCT Engine, software suite and industrial design are all progressing well. Beta systems are expected to be deployed for clinical use within 6 months of funding and after generation of the required clinical data, an 510k FDA filing will be submitted. On this time line, management expects that the transition to manufacturing and marketing could commence within12 months from funding, or in Q1 2010. Although there is a further delay from previously projected dates of market introduction, this time is necessary and will be used to ensure that the OCT product is absolutely optimized for clinical use. Finally, while dentistry is largely considered recession resistant, we hope that economic market conditions in 2010 will be more favourable for Lantis product introductions.

In July 2008, Lantis obtained the exclusive license for an imaging technology known as Near-infrared Transillumination Imaging (NIR) which compliments and is synergistic with OCT as it uses the same light source and wavelength. Lantis intends to offer the NIR technology both in a combination platform with OCT and as a standalone product. NIR development will commence upon the next round of funding and is expected to be completed within 12 to 15 months of funding. Further information will be released on this shortly.

The needs for the OCT/NIR imaging modalities are more evident than ever as dentistry transitions to the medical model of diagnosing disease early and treating it early. The practice of CAMBRA (Caries Management By Risk Analysis) is increasing together with the evolution towards Minimally Invasive Dentistry. High resolution accurate diagnostic imaging to detect the early stages of oral disease is a critical component in these industry wide trends.

Lantis is poised to complete its vision of providing an integrated and advanced diagnostic imaging platform that will include OCT/NIR and optional digital x-ray and intraoral camera. These integrated modalities in a chairside mobile cart, will provide a complete imaging solution for modern dentistry and aid in greatly increasing the standard and level of patient care.

Sincerely

Stan Baron
President & CEO

A simple rule dictates my buying: Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. And most certainly, fear is now widespread, gripping even seasoned investors. To be sure, investors are right to be wary of highly leveraged entities or businesses in weak competitive positions. But fears regarding the long-term prosperity of the nation’s many sound companies make no sense. These businesses will indeed suffer earnings hiccups, as they always have. But most major companies will be setting new profit records 5, 10 and 20 years from now.

OCT researchers have shown the ability of OCT to be used for wide-area scanning as a screening aid as well as a micro scanning device for obtaining detailed quantitative and qualitative information to aid dental professionals in making diagnostic decisions. Recent research has also shown that the use of nano particles can further enhance diagnostic ability of OCT.

Stan Baron, President & CEO of Lantis commented that, ``The concept of macro imaging, micro imaging and nano imaging with OCT can provide dentists with the diagnostic aid needed to practice minimally invasive dentistry and transition to the medical model -- find disease early and treat it early. The possibilities presented by OCT technology and new research findings are very exciting and Lantis will continue to pursue relationships with research institutions where these concepts are being developed for commercial implementation.''

Lantis has a strong OCT portfolio of licensed intellectual property and a strategic supply agreement for its OCT Engine with Axsun Technologies that ensures its dominance in the dental market for this next generation diagnostic imaging modality. Its OCT system provides chairside, real-time images of dental structures at a resolution of up to 10 times x-ray, and as it is light-based there is no harmful radiation. Providing more detailed information than x-ray, it is anticipated that it will likely become the dominant imaging modality in the dental office, after its introduction which is targeted for first quarter 2009.

Research Publication Projects OCT Market to top $800 million by 2012

Denville, N.J. – July 22, 2008 – Lantis Laser Inc. (Pink Sheets: LLSR - News) (http://www.lantislaser.com). Lantis’ OCT Dental Imaging System ™, a diagnostic aid for the early detection of decay and microstructural defects, deploys optical coherence tomography (OCT), a novel light-based, high-resolution, diagnostic imaging technology. According to Optical Coherence Tomography-Technology, Markets, and Applications: 2008-2012, the first market research report to quantify this rapidly expanding field, the global market for OCT systems is currently around $200 million and growing at an annual rate of 34%. This trend is expected to continue for the next several years, with revenues topping $800 million by 2012. 1

OCT is fast becoming the most successful optics technology to be applied in the medical field. As it a light-based technology, unlike x-ray, there is no radiation. It is generally considered to be the sixth major diagnostic imaging technology after x-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI and PET scan. The significance of OCT technology is evidenced by the number of bio-medical applications under research and development and the large increase in the number of OCT publications over the last several years.

The increasing interest in OCT in the medical field, of which dentistry is the largest sub-group comprising 140,000 dentists practicing in 100,000 offices and clinics in the U.S. alone, has grown significantly over the last few years as is evidenced by the number of research publications. OCT applications research and publications are occurring over a wide area of medical disciplines, including ophthalmology, cardiovascular imaging, dermatology, optical biopsies, cancer detection, urology, and ear, nose and throat.

OCT was first discovered and researched in the early 1990’s at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and commercialized in ophthalmology, where it has been widely embraced, by Carl Zeiss Meditec. In a press release in November 2006 Carl Zeiss announced that they had sold 6000 Stratus systems since its introduction in 2002. Cardiovascular imaging and dentistry are expected to be the next major clinical applications of OCT technology.

Dr Craig Gimbel, Vice-President Clinical Affairs at Lantis, commented that, “OCT is ideally suited for use in dentistry as it provides high-resolution, chairside diagnostic imaging, in real time. Lantis’ small handpiece scanner which employs patented state-of-the art MEMS technology, allows easy access to all parts of the oral cavity and ensures a user friendly interface with the OCT System.” Dr. Gimbel went on to say that he envisages that the many clinical applications of OCT in dentistry augurs well for OCT to be successfully embraced by the dental profession. Market introduction of Lantis’ OCT Dental Imaging System ™ is projected for the first quarter of 2009. The OCT System enables dentists to detect decay and microstructural defects at an early stage and to deploy minimally invasive treatment.

[Industry Bulletin] INDUSTRY REPORT: OCT Brings Early Decay to Light

AGORACOM Investor Relations is pleased to bring you this Industry Report pertaining to Lantis Laser (LLSR:PK). In a report published on the web at DrBiscupid.com written by Kathy Kincade, the story, which is part three in a series called Beyond X-rays, goes into greater detail about Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).

The opening paragraph of the article sets the tone. It stated, “Imagine being able to see inside a tooth with 10 times the detail provided by the best x-ray system on the market. Imagine being able to do this in near real-time, chairside, with little more than the press of a button.”

Optical Coherence Tomography was developed at MIT and is the next generation in medical imaging that could make the standard dental x-ray virtually obsolete. Lantis Laser has exclusive rights to market OCT to the $5 Billion dental equipment industry. The article went in depth explaining the features and benefits. It stated, “Optical coherence tomography (OCT) currently leads the pack in next-generation diagnostic techniques being developed for dentistry. It is similar to ultrasound except that it uses light rather than sound waves.”

It also stated the significant advantages OCT has over dental x-rays:
“In fact, with resolution 10 times better than x-rays, the promise of OCT in dentistry is that it will allow for early detection of dental caries, microstructural defects, and periodontal disease in both 2D and 3D. OCT can image both hard and soft tissue, something that x-rays cannot do, and it can image decay in the pits and grooves of the biting surfaces, where 90% of decay begins. Detail unavailable with x-ray is obtainable with OCT, allowing for fast and accurate assessment of restoration quality.”

The article also made specific reference to Lantis Laser and how it is progressing:
“Lantis Laser has spent the last few years developing a time-domain OCT system for dentistry and had expected to introduce the product this year at a price of $20,000 to $25,000. But in March the company announced that it is now is partnering with Axsun Technologies to upgrade to a faster and more sensitive OCT technology.”

To read the article in its entirety you can access it at: http://www.drbicuspid.com/index.aspx...

AGORACOM is pleased to have brought you this Industry Report pertaining to Lantis Laser. Feel free to comment on this report or any other facet of the company’s business on this discussion forum with AGORACOM.

[Press Release] NEWS - Lantis Laser’s OCT Dental Imaging System ™ Will Drive the New Era of Minimally Invasive Dentistry

New Materials and Early Diagnostics Makes Possible Reversal of Decay

Denville, N.J. – July 8, 2008 – Lantis Laser Inc. (Pink Sheets: LLSR - News) (http://www.lantislaser.com). Fluoride and its protection against tooth decay are well documented. Its action is best on the smooth surfaces of teeth. So, what about all those pits and fissures on the biting surface where decay is most prevalent? Recently, a new generation of topical products has been developed that have the ability to remineralize enamel from the bottom up, therefore reversing that dreaded decay, but only when detected very early on.

The list of products that can be used to arrest or reverse the decay process include amorphous calcium phosphate, fluoride varnishes, fluoride rinses and disinfecting mouth rinses. For the successful implementation of these treatments, early detection of decay is essential but is difficult with present day dental diagnostics as no imaging modalities provide the level of resolution required for early detection so that minimally invasive treatment with topical products can be prescribed. This is a barrier to the wider adoption of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID) and the dental profession is fully aware of this.

According to Dr. Craig Gimbel, Executive Vice President of Clinical Affairs for Lantis Laser, Inc, “the introduction of Lantis’ Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Dental Imaging System ™ in the first quarter of 2009 will enable dentists to non-invasively image what they never were able to do before - the microstructure of teeth at a high resolution to detect early decay, using just light.”

Dr. Gimbel continued,” even x-rays are not capable of imaging early decay in those tiny pits and fissures. OCT will drive a new generation of MID and every dental office will require an OCT System to diagnose and treat very early decay.” Dr Gimbel points out “both the dentist and the patients they treat can only benefit. Early diagnosis means possibly you may avoid that dreaded dental drill.”

Research studies have shown that OCT technology can provide evidence for early decay demineralization and then follow the process of remineralizing, all without the risk of radiation.

Lantis’ OCT Dental Imaging System ™ is based on novel light-based, bio-medical imaging technology, Optical Coherence Tomography, that enables the dentist to do diagnostic imaging, chairside and in real-time. As the power source is light-based, unlike x-ray there is no harmful radiation. Images can be captured at a resolution of up to 10 times that of x-ray, enabling early detection of decay and detailed examination of microstructural defects.

DENVILLE, N.J., July 2, 2008 -- Lantis Laser Inc. (Pink Sheets:LLSR) (http://www.lantislaser.com), is drawing attention to the increasing applications of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).

In a recently published study in Journal of Endodontics (June 2008) by Shemesh H et al at the Academic Center for Dentistry in Amsterdam, Holland, showing OCT application in root canal therapy for detecting root fractures before filling the canal, it was concluded that OCT is a promising method for non-destructive imaging of the root surfaces. Earlier published research by the same group, showed that OCT could detect perforations and other possible defects that could affect a successful outcome of root canal therapy. Dentists have never been able to obtain this information by any other means.

Lantis Laser has exclusive worldwide rights for OCT technology in the $5 Billion dental equipment industry. The technology, which was developed at MIT, is the next generation in medical imaging following the X-ray, ultrasound, and MRI.

Stan Baron, President & CEO of Lantis, commented that, "The more applications OCT can be used for, the more dentists would find it indispensable and this would, of course, accelerate the rate of adoption of Dental OCT and the market penetration".

Lantis is initially targeting its Dental OCT System for use in the early detection of tooth decay, secondary decay under and around fillings, root surface decay and decay under sealants. However many other applications are surfacing that would indicate that Lantis OCT Dental Imaging System would be deployed in a dental office for many more applications than originally envisaged.

Application in orthodontics have been indicated relating to the detection of early demineralization, the precursor to decay, using OCT. Orthodontic treatment requires patient compliance to achieve optimum levels of oral hygiene, particularly around brackets. OCT can detect early demineralization, a sign that the patient may need special attention to ensure that "white spots" on teeth do not detract from successful treatment. A recent publication by Cosmin Sinescu et al in Int. Soc. Opt Eng. ( May 2008) shoed research to using OCT to examined the outcome of different bracket bonding materials and procedures that could affect stability of bracket retention and minimize failures.

Lantis' OCT Dental Imaging System enables the dentist to do diagnostic imaging, chairside and in real-time. As the power source is light-based, unlike x-ray there is no harmful radiation. Images can be captured at a resolution of to 10 times that of x-ray, enabling early detection of decay and detailed examination of microstructural defects.

About Lantis Laser
