What an unexpected little hiatus has hit this blog; an anaemic transgression of visual eye candy and the like. I have been perusing the markets of Luxor and Aswan, breathing in the polluted air waves of Cairo, and swimming intermittently in the Red Sea. And now, almost still again, I have a few thousand photographs to sift through from this magnificent trip, which I shall be posting in this space. 2010 has arrived, and the real question now is, which you be saying; “two thousand and ten”, or “twenty-ten”?

I do wish this exhibition was still running – my heart pounds with diabetic intention at the mere thought of it. Originally showing at Gallery 21_21, Chocolate showcased a handful of exquisitely talented artists flirting with the sickly sweetness of the cacao bean. In particular, Gaku Otomo’s chocolate pumping organ below makes me wish some designers moved permanently into food (transient/digestible art = win). Gaku’s design portfolio can also be located here.
