Sleek, simple and modern are one way to describe a ghost chair. However it’s look might be modern but it’s style is a classic.  Apartmenttherapy.com gives us the run down that Starck created the ghost chair as a reinvention of the classic Louis XV armchair.  They go as far to say Starck’s chair is “the most recognizable chair of the 21st century.”

My colors are going to be teal (I LOVE the color “Juniper” at David’s Bridal) and mint green. However, I want the flowers to have lots of bright colors including orange that changes to red tips, yellow, white, splash of blue, peach. I was inspired by several pictures below. I hope you could give an idea of how many flowers I might need to make a full enough bouquet for my bridal bouquet. I also want to get the same thing, but a smaller version for my 4 bridesmaids. I like either the wildflower look where the flowers are more loose, or the round bouquet look. I also love having those tiny berry sprays or other tiny flowers for accents. My wedding is going to be outdoors and the reception will be outdoors as well. We are getting married at a ranch that has a rustic, romantic feel. I can’t wait to see your ideas! I love this blog!

My wedding theme is peacock in July and the colors are dark or deep teal green and a dark purple and a fuchsia color the colors for maid of honor is a dark teal and the bridesmaid are light violet or a fuchsia color the flower girl is wearing a tutu that has all the colors in it and I want all bouquets to have the peacock feathers. The mini food trend can give you a variety of options when planning your menu.  If you are looking for a more casual lite reception bite size yummies can allow guests the opportunity to nibble and mingle.  Keep in mind though if you aren’t providing table seating for everyone food options should be easy to handle and balance if some guests will be standing and eating.  Finger foods can be placed in paper cups or cones, something in layers can be placed on skewers.

Colored wire is what we are talking about.  It is affordable, under $6 for 13 yards, colorful and easy to work with for DIY brides.  Afloral.com’s You Tube channel just featured a new how-to tutorial on “How to Use Colored Wire for Wedding Flowers”.  With step by step visuals you can see how to create spirals using tweezers or how to make loops by wrapping wire around everyday household items.

A 7/27/13 intimate beach wedding in South Haven, Michigan is in the works. We are working on a limited budget, and plan on the reception later in the fall. Therefore, silkflowers are our first choice. We have chosen a new color called meadow from David’s Bridal for the attendants dresses with pale peach jewelry. I would like peach roses with a medium green accent, but I am having difficulty finding actual peach roses. They are either, orange, coral, or have yellow and pinkish tint to them. Since it is a beach wedding, I don’t want a formal bouquet, something simple and informal. I will have one maid of honor and three bridesmaids, one best man and three groomsmen. I would prefer the three bridesmaids had wrist corsages matching my bouquet. Also wrist corsages for the MOB, MOG, and two Grandmothers. A boutonniere for the FOB. I also would prefer peach satin ribbon on the bouquet.
