After working out all the added strategy, Aegis Hestia with members from Divine Brilliance down Morchok and his evil twin Kohcrom for some sweet 410 loots! Chef Boyarde gets a new [Hand of Morchok] and Analeva got a [Robe of Glowing Stone]!

With only one night to make it happen, Aegis Hestia has succeeded! After the absolute first attempt getting extremely close, and even if it was pushing end of raid time, we made the famous last attempt live up to its reputation and made it a full on clear of the entire Dragon Soul encounter!

And on a small personal note, this may be the first time in the entire history of the guild that I’ve personally been in the raid the first time we’ve gotten the end boss down. Good job everyone!

It’s a 2 for 1 sale! In being hopeful to finally get past Blackhorn, Aegis Hestia exceeded all expectations in raiding this week! With a much better plan on fight tactics in place, and with friends from filling in for absent guildies, the Warmaster Blackhorn encounter went far smoother than it ever had before, dare I say, even a bit easy.

And then we proceeded on to the Spine of Deathwing where removal of armor was simply a matter of getting the execution down and that encounter was also put behind us.

Aegis Completes “Seige of Wyrmrest 10M”

Aegis Hestia rushes to defend Wyrmrest against DeathWing and his masters the “Old-Gods”. After a few minor struggles and creative uses of duct tape (since we all know how reliable Horistins’ heals are…), AH was able to down the first four bosses of Dragon Soul.

Confident from our previous nights success, Aegis Hestia set our sights on Alysrazor and Majordomo Staghelm for our second night of raiding. After a rather hectic start with Alysrazor’s trash, Aegis got serious (ie muted Horistin on vent) and went about downing Alysrazor and Majordomo. Both were guild first!!!

HUZZAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

With Blizzard nerf to Firelands and getting rid of Draezele (One-Who-Drives-Like-A-Grandma), Aegis Hestia blazed through the first four bosses in Fireland and was able to bagged our first Lord Ryolith kill.

P.S. We did soooo well because no priest (no names) was “Leap of Faith”-ing their tanks around…

Famous last word from Baleroc The GateKeeper as Aegis Hestia and friends storm through the gates of Fireland and walked away with much-needed/desired victory. With much planning and sacrificing our rogue and warlock to the MMO deities we were finally able to notched Baleroc off our todo-list.

We had attempted the fight with a lot of different configurations, but ended doing the fight the good ol’Aegis Fashion Way….. we threw Balandor at it until it die…. and it WORKED!!! Or was it that we threaten to have Horisitin sing to it…. hmmm….. questions…. questions….

Our raid composition consist of: (a bit different but it worked for us)
1xFeral Druid Tank
3xHealers (Druid, Shaman, Priest)
6xDPS

Loot:
Kzadum – Gatekeeper’s Embrace
Purdie – Breastplate of the Incendiary Soul

While waiting for Draezele to get his driver’s license, Aegis Hestia decided to take do a little bet of pest control around lil ol’Firelands.

Learning from our previous attempts, we decided to change our line up a bit and things just fell into place.

Dedicated more DPS on drones
Dedicated fewer AoE DPS on spiderlings
Taunt the Spinners off their web as much as possible

Loot:
Boyarde received Mandible of Beth’tilac.
Draezele received Ward of the Red Widow.

Next stop, Lord Rhyolith.

Shannox a bit well done…..

Having quickly cleared Bastion of Twilight, Aegis Hestia pushed into Fireland in our first “official” attempt at the new Fireland contents. After spending a good hour or so clearing just about every possible trash in the area, Shannox finally decided to join us for a nice BBQ. Our first two attempts at Shannox were far from perfect and with some minor tweaks to our strategy based on our group composition, we were able to finally put down Shannox.

Drops:
Draezele – Treads of Implicit Obedience
Diwtay – Scalp of the Bandit Prince

Also congrats to Draezele on receiving Eternal Ember, which is required for Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest

Aegis Hestia: (12/12) Cho’gall, Nefarian and Al’Akir downed

After much wiping to Patch 4.2 bug bosses (Add-on McCrashes and Lag-o-Matic), Aegis Hestia has now cleared all Cataclysm normal raid bosses. Having achieved Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider, Aegis Hestia members can now purchase Reins of the Dark Phoenix through the guild vendor(s).

Congrats to everyone that were able to finally complete their tier 4 set bonus.
