RESEARCH EXPENDITURES HAVE MORE THAN DOUBLED IN 15 YEARS
NEBRASKA's research trajectory continues to exceed the pace of most national research institutions. This growth is arising from multiple centers and departments across campus, but in particular, it is clear that this university is fast becoming the global focal point for the effort to provide more food with less water through improved water management in agricultural and food systems. We are also leading the way in other critical fields including physics, nanotechnology, virology, early childhood education, digital humanities, and many more.

RECORD 8 FACULTY NAMED AAAS FELLOWS
In 2015, eight University of Nebraska-Lincoln faculty members were named fellows of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the world's largest general scientific society. Fellows are selected by their peers for scientifically or socially distinguished achievements that advance science or its application.
This is the first time eight UNL scientists have been elected AAAS fellows in the same year. UNL's previous record of six AAAS fellows was set in 2013. For more information on the eight faculty members, read the story in UNL Today.
