i had a chicago dog. they put all of the "fixings" underneath the dog, which made the bun quite soggy. with a side of fries It was quite filling. I was with my mom, who doesn't like hot-dogs. she said her "philly cheese-steak" burger was excellent.might have to try the corned beef sandwich next time.spent about $15.00 for 2 people. will definitely be back soon.

I always get a hound dog with medium spicy chili and fries.love the scuba dog, want to try the Philly cheese-steak burger. the hot dog bun custard is pretty good. i wish they served "Chicago style" dogs. Maybe they do and i just didn't see them on the menu.I was a regular @ windy city grill until they went under.Chicago dogs are one of my guilty pleasures.

What I Had
Double Cheeseburger, Onion Rings, and a coke. "The Double Bypass"

What I Spent
$5 flat, no tax....there is a tip jar

What I Thought
This place was surprisingly good place. Kind of a whole in the wall, but the food is great at a price that can't be beat.

Would I Return?
I already have, and I will again.

Other Thoughts
This place is easy to overlook, but you should seek it out for lunch one day. I love the Onion Rings, some of the best I have ever had. Bring cash because there are no credit cards excepted, but only $5 will do it!

What I Had
I had a Reuben sandwich, chips and a water

What I Spent
About $10

What I Thought
Great food, portions are too big, price is too high.

Would I Return?
Yes, but would probably only go with someone who wanted to split a meal.

Other Thoughts
I loved the food, but got easily two times more than I could eat. This place could really benefit from putting together lunch specials where the portion is half the size and price.

What I Had
Two slices of pizza with one with sausage and one with bacon.

What I Spent
$5-6

What I Thought
The pizza slices are very large. Sometimes places that have large portions sacrifice the quality...but the pizza was actually good.

Would I Return?
I would go back if I am in the area.

Other Thoughts
Big Pie in the Sky is a great value for money. The large slices are inexpensive and good food.

What I Had
Pulled pork sandwich, chips, and drink combo

What I Spent
$6.44

What I Thought
Awesome. We've been going here for lunch for a long time and for a good reason. Best BBQ around our area without much contest.

Would I Return?
Of course, it's one of our regular spots.

Other Thoughts
Great food and the owners and workers are friendly. If you've never been and even remotely like BBQ, you really have to give it a try.

What I Had
Shrimp and catfish platter with a water

What I Spent
$8.22 plus tip

What I Thought
The food was good but nothing that stood out. The catfish was a whole fried fish, which I was wishing was a fillet so I didn't have to gnaw it off the sharp little bones. The shrimp were better, but I only got 3 of them. Fries were plentiful on the platter though.

Would I Return?
There's nothing really drawing me back. I'm a seafood fan, and enjoyed the food, but I'd probably try to find another seafood place to visit before returning there.

Other Thoughts
The grilled fish items are a good bit more expensive, so unless you want a $15 or so lunch, you're stuck with the lunch menu which is all fried, or non-seafood items.

What I Had
Double Bypass combo (double cheeseburger, coke, and fries)

What I Spent
$5.00 even

What I Thought
The double cheeseburger was a little unusual being two patties side by side on a small sub roll. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while though, considering the price range.

Would I Return?
I would definitely go back, although I'm not sure on the frequency. If you're health conscious, it may be a rare stop, but worth checking out.

Other Thoughts
Interesting little place I had never even noticed despite working not too awful far down the street. Seating may be an issue if you have more than about 4 people, but you should give a try sometime.

What I Had
Since I was at the Oyster Cafe I tried the Fried Oyster Sandwich with fries and a water.

What I Spent
$7.37 plus tip (no drink)

What I Thought
Since this was my first time trying oysters I am not an impartial judge on the taste. I did find I liked the sandwich better when I added hot sauce though. The fried oyster sandwich is a little clumsy to eat and takes both hands to keep it together.

Would I Return?
Not for lunch. I may come for an evening meal with my wife sometime but it is on the pricey side for lunch.

Other Thoughts
Everything on the lunch menu is fried. If you want to stray over to the grilled menu you will be in the $10 to $12 range for lunch. The owners really need to add a few non-fried seafood choices to the lunch menu.

What I Had
Double Bypass with drink and onion rings

What I Spent
$5.00 - Cash only, no credit cards

What I Thought
While there are choices on the menu the most likely pick is either the daily special or combo. I ordered the Friday combo which was appropriately called the Double Bypass. For $5.00 it included a double cheeseburger, fries or onion rings, and a drink. Al cooks it and let’s you know when it is done so you can come add whatever fixins you want. Oh, and pick up your fries or onion rings as well. Al is not there to be wait on your every need!

Would I Return?
Nibbles is one of those places that you may not venture into unless someone takes you there or someone you trust tells you to go there. But, if you do not eat here at least once you are missing out on a unique lunch experience. I will be going back for sure.

Other Thoughts
Al only takes cash so don’t show up with your fancy schmancy credit card and expect to pay him.
