<p>This June, CHOICE is launching a brand new podcast called <em><a href="http://www.choice360.org/librarianship/patron-driven-main ">Patron Driven</a></em>. The series features a multi-episode narrative format that combines interviews and storytelling to spotlight the breakthrough programs, hard-won advocacy, community connections—and the personalities behind them—that are being achieved in academic libraries. Our first series of <em>Patron Driven</em> is called “The Heart of the Campus” and it tells the story of the destruction and subsequent rebuilding of the Lonestar College-Kingwood campus library in Kingwood, Texas during and after Hurricane Harvey in 2017. </p>

<p>The first four <em>Authority File</em> episodes center on an hour-long conversation with Raymond Pun and Meggan Houlihan, editors of <a href="http://www.alastore.ala.org/detail.aspx?ID=12008."><em>The First-Year Experience Cookbook</em></a> (ACRL 2017). The discussion ranges widely, covering each of the speaker’s careers and the general state of first-year experience librarianship.</p>
