Eraserheads Reunion Concert Part 2: "The Final Set"

I grew up lsitening to songs like "pare ko, toyang, hey jay" and the likes. And I can say, the E-heads were one of my musical influences. One of the first songs I've learned to play in the guitar is from them.

The reunion concert last year was cut short due to the front man's hopitalization. The band was on their first set, 15 songs when Ely suffered a mild stroke that he needed to be rushed to the hospital. And the continuation fo that concert i said to be slated on March 7, 2009. It is entitled "The Final Set" and the venue is in Mall of Asia (MOA).

The tickets ranges from Php 5000 to Php 300.

Finally! They have spoken.

Last Monday, my replacement as the counselor of the school had arrived. Of course, I can say that he is the protégée of the acad head. He was her former student back in college and they were closed friends sicne then.

As far as I can remeber, the scenario was the same April last year. The higher school officials wanted me out for no reasons. One thing is obvious though, he wanted his nephew to be in my place. So that they can control all the vital positions in the school. But I prevailed! They were not successful on their endevor.

But now, they are. They found a hole on my qualification. They say that CHED is requiring all counselors to have a license. So there, it is here where protégée comes in. But based on my little investigation, this protégée is not really a licensed counselor.

From now up to the end of March, I will be the lame counselor. It's like the president of the united states, as well as the president of the philippines, they have this transition office where there are two officials. The one is the incoming and the other is the out-going or the lame-duck official.

So we could have the chance to trust..

and the privilege to be trusted....

Well i honestly believe in that. Maybe if we all can read the minds of one another, our place would be a chaotic place to live in. Crimes will be prevalent and we will just kill people because they are thinking bad things about us.

I can still remember how excited I was awaiting for the results of the UPCAT. I was not able to sleep soundly every night and I’m constantly praying that I passed the UPCAT.

Until one morning while I’m seated in front of our house, I was surprised that one of my classmates was calling me. And he narrated the good news to me. “You are one of the UPCAT passers!” I was in shock that I just said “ok” calmly. Moments later some of his companion, my classmates also, started to arrive.

And we have decided to go to the beach and celebrate

As i was searching the web this morning for the book that I need for my counseling class, and I found this site: Amazon bookstore to be exact. As I went thru the pages, it has reference books in psychology. And of my favorite books there is written by Stephen Covey, the "7 Habits of highly effective people." It discusses about the seven habits you need to succeed in life.

Another book that I saw in the Amazon bookstore, is the book "The Secret" written by Rhonda Byrne. They even got the four books of "Twlight" series.
