Four more contestants bid goodbye in the popular music reality search American Idol that shed tears all over the venue. They were John Park, Jermaine Sellers, Michelle Delamor and Haeley Vaughn.

John Park of Evanston first heard the news but he went out positive remembering the moment during his audition wherein country music superstar and guest panelist Shania Twain, complimented him on his lips and other parts of his slender figure.

When show host Ryan Seacrest asked Jermaine Sellers if his outspoken nature got him “in trouble” on the reality program, she told him that what he showed on “Idol” was from his heart.

“I don’t think my mouth got me in trouble. The only thing I can say is where I sing from You can’t be taught how to riff and run and sing high notes,” he said. “I’m a church singer, that’s where my heart is. A lot of people study different singers, but you have to have your own style.”

Comedienne Whoopi Goldberg has vowed never to wed again, saying she is “not meant to be married.”

Whoopie has been married three times — her first marriage to drug counselor Alvin Martin ended in 1979, she divorced cinematographer David Claessen in 1988, and she was married to actor Lyle Trachtenberg for one year before they split in 1995.

The failed relationships have prompted the actress to swear off marriage for good, and she told her friends to stop her if she ever announces plans to wed for a fourth time, because she thinks it will be doomed.

Whoopi says, “If you ever hear of me walking down anybody’s aisle again, I want you to stick your leg out and trip me. Some people are not meant to be married and I am not meant to. I’m sure it is wonderful for lots of people.”

Taking a page from a hair band classic, Miley Cyrus is remaking Poison frontman Bret Michaels’s ’80s rock ballad: “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.”

“‘Every Rose’ is one of her all-time favorite songs and she is really excited about cutting it,” Miley’s mom Tish Cyrus says.

Miley, 17, might be young but her love for Poison runs deep. Her first concert experience – other than seeing dad Billy Ray Cyrus onstage – was watching the band perform in Nashville. And now she’s been in the studio with Michaels – along with other producers – putting her own spin on the ’80s ballad. She recorded the song in New York, her rep confirms.

And rumor is that Michaels might even dust off his blue rose guitar to play on the track.

In an interview by New York Post Today, Rachel Uchitel denies any kind of affair with celebrity golf player Tiger Woods, calling the rumors “ridiculous.”

“Not a word of it is true,” Uchitel told the Post. “It’s the most ridiculous story. It’s like they are asking me to comment if there are aliens on Earth.”

Rachel Uchitel was a former New York night club hostess where she did escort Woods and his group in and out, but that was the extent of their contact.

“I’ve always been the director of VIP services, that’s my job — to know these people, to have a relationship with them, to hang out with them. It doesn’t mean I’m having sex with them or an affair with them. … But Tiger and I are not friends. That’s a whole different ballgame. I’ve only met him twice,” Uchitel told the Post. “I have never spoken on the phone with Tiger Woods, or texted him, ever. … I do not have sex with celebrities, and I have not had an affair with Tiger Woods.”

Associated Press – – Rihanna on Friday described the horror she felt as her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown was biting and punching her during a violent argument in February, saying she saw “no soul in his eyes.”

“There was no person when I looked at him,” the 21-year-old singer recalled during the second installment of an interview airing on ABC’s “Good Morning America.” “He had no soul in his eyes. Just blank.”

Brown was arrested Feb. 8, hours after he was accused of beating Rihanna after the two argued over another woman. He later pleaded guilty to felony assault.

In the interview, Rihanna, who is no longer with Brown, described him as “definitely my first big love.” She said their relationship was intense.

“The more in love we became, the more dangerous we became for each other — equally as dangerous,” she said. “It was a bit of an obsession almost.”

The attack occurred in Los Angeles’ Hancock Park neighborhood as Brown drove a rented sports car. She said it was triggered when she saw a text message on his phone from another woman and confronted him about it. She said he lied about it and “I wouldn’t drop it.”

A search warrant affidavit filed in the case stated that Brown hit, choked and bit Rihanna and tried at one point to push her from the car.

“It was ugly,” she said.

During the beating, the singer said she had no idea how it would end: “That’s all I kept thinking the whole time, ‘When is it going to stop? When is it going to stop?’”

Brown was sentenced to five years’ probation, six months of community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling after he pleaded guilty to felony assault.

In portions of the interview aired Thursday, Rihanna warned other women facing domestic violence to not let themselves become blinded by love. She also said she regretted going back to Brown, saying it sent the wrong message to her fans.

Brown, 20, has apologized to fans and has said he has repeatedly apologized to Rihanna for the attack. Brown will recount his perspective in an interview to air Friday on MTV.

Despite the beating, Rihanna said she still cares about Brown.

“I don’t hate him at all,” she said. “I actually love and care about him and I’m concerned about him doing well. I want him to do well — have a great career, have a great life, and grow up. Just take this as something that you had to go through to grow up and learn.”

Rihanna’s interview coincides with the debut of her new single, “Russian Roulette,” from her upcoming album, “Rated R.” More of the ABC interview will be included in Friday evening’s news magazine “20/20.”

The Sundance Film Festival by Robert Redford is going on the road for one night this coming winter.

The independent-film showcase is sending 8 films playing at the festival for screenings in eight cities around the country on Jan. 28.

One film will go to each of the following cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Brooklyn, N.Y., Nashville, Tenn., Madison, Wis., Ann Arbor, Mich., and Brookline, Mass.

The directors of each film will travel along to feature their work and answer audience questions afterward. The films will be announced after the festival releases its lineup in December.

The screenings will allow audiences around the country a taste of the festival that runs Jan. 21-31 in Park City, Utah.

Madonna is marking the start of construction at her school for girls in Malawi.

The pop superstar cut a ribbon and planted a tree at a groundbreaking ceremony Monday.

The 51-year-old celebrity arrived in the impoverished southern African country on Sunday. She was accompanied by her four children — daughters Lourdes and Mercy, and sons Rocco and David.

Madonna adopted Mercy from Malawi earlier this year and adopted David from the country in 2008.

Madonna’s Raising Malawi, a charity founded in 2006, helps feed, educate and provide medical care for some of Malawi’s orphans.

Whitney Houston just threw away expectations of a wonderful comeback after performing with a hoarse and cracking voice in her first public performance after six years.
