It’s been a year already after Kanye West ruined Taylor Swift’s moment at the MTV Music Awards but the rapper still sends a new apology via twitter.

“I wrote a song for Taylor Swift that’s so beautiful and I want her to have it. If she won’t take it then I’ll perform it for her. She had nothing to do with my issues with award shows. She had no idea what hit her,” West said in a series of tweets Saturday morning.

“She’s just a lil girl with dreams like the rest of us. She deserves the apology more than anyone. I’m ready to get out of my own way. The ego is overdone,” he continued. “Who am I to run on stage? I would never ever again in a million years do that. Sorry to let you downTAYLOR LOVES RAP MUSIC…I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC…I’m sorry Taylor.”

West also insisted, “I am not a bad person. Even in that moment I was only trying to do good but people don’t always need my help. Beyonce didn’t need that. MTV didn’t need that and Taylor and her family friends and fans definitely didn’t want or need that.”

“Despicable Me” isn’t after all despicable! With an estimated $60.1M on its opening day, July 9, 2010 – it had top the box office that surpasses other film on the same date of release, “Predators”. The “Predators” is a sequel of the 1987 sci-fi cult classic, “Predator” released by 20^th Century Fox Film starring Adrien Brody and Laurence Fishburne only grossed $25.3 million.

On the other hand, “Despicable Me” is the first 3-D animated movie released by Universal Studios and Illumination Entertainment. The film stars Steve Carell as Gru, the world’s #2 supervillain and the film’s protagonist and Jason Segel as Vector (a.k.a. Victor Perkins), the world’s #1 supervillain and the film’s antagonist. He has a penchant to invent weaponry that launches marine life. Julie Andrews is also among the star-studded voice casts as Gru’s mother.  The three little girls that will melt Gru’s heart will be played by Miranda Cosgrove as Margo, the oldest girl of the group of orphans, Dana Gaier as Edith, the middle girl of the group of orphans and Elsie Fisher as Agnes, the youngest girl of the group of orphans.

The story of this film is about is a vast secret hideout hidden beneath a black house with a dead lawn and white picket fences with flowering bushes. It is unbeknownst to the neighbors and surrounded by an army of minions led by Gru who delights in all things wicked and planning the biggest heist in the history of the world. He will going to steal the moon! Armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way. Until the day he encounters the immense will of three little orphaned girls who look at him and see something that no one else has ever seen: a potential Dad. The world’s greatest villain has just met his greatest challenge in the name of a three little girls named Margo, Edith and Agnes. When Gru realizes that his upcoming moon mission conflicts with the ballet performance to be performed by the girls, he is torn between the decision of what’s more important – to be a presenting parent to the girls or to sustain  his nefarious reputation once and for all.

On July 11 show of “The Buzz” where Kris Aquino has also left after 10 years of co hosting it, Boy Abunda reads a statement coming from Kris Aquino’s lawyers, Marcos, Ochoa, Serapio and Tan law firm to confirm that Aquino already begun the process of legal separation from her husband James Yap. This is exactly two weeks after Kris tells the public about her decision to end their 6 year marriage. It is Kris decision despite James Yap released his statement last July 1 that he would fight for their marriage for the sake of his son with Kris, Baby James and the promise they had made to the late president Cory Aquino.  James Yap is not thinking about separation but reconciliation to wife, Kris Aquino-Yap.

Part of the statement reads that Boy Abunda had shared to the viewers of “The Buzz” states that; “Ms. Kris Aquino has recently announced that she has decided to end her marriage to Mr. James Yap. We shall take the necessary steps at the soonest possible time and we request everybody to respect the privacy of the parties and let the legal process take its course”.  This statement was released after a day of their 6 year anniversary as a married couple which was on July 10, 2005.

This statement was released amid speculation on her reply to James Yap statement. She went to US for a vacation and was not available for any comment. Nevertheless, Kris Aquino said that, “My lawyers advised me to not say anything; they are issuing a statement that will be aired on The Buzz.” This trip could be obviously for the purpose of steering clear away from interviews and to think things clearly about her plans and actions.

However, Kris Aquino did not specifically mention what proceedings she is seeking. Is it a mere legal separation or an annulment of their six-year marriage? Kris says again that her statement last June 27 that she want things over with husband James Yap.  It would be noted that there were lot of marital issues that the couple had gone through in their six years marriage and that they had surpassed. Is this really over for the two?

After over 2 years of being together, Mike Fisher – 30 yrs old and Carrie Underwood – 27 yrs old had tied the knot before a 250 number of guests from friends and family at the Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Georgia on July 10, 2010. Also included in the guest list were country-music luminaries Faith Hill and Garth Brooks. Carrie Underwood is a noted country-singer herself. While Carrie was walking in a Monique Lhuillier’ lacey designed bridal gown, classical music and bible verses has been played through the ceremony.

The couple had hired a wedding planner although Underwood admitted that there are many details that she wanted that she herself will iron out. She said that she had bought a lot of magazines and was cutting out pieces and glues them in a binder. Part of Underwood’s wedding preparation was to slim down although she pointed out that she does not stress or worry about it but Mike would love her if she weighed 800 pounds.

As for the honeymoon, Underwood said that all the planning was Mike’s task although they had hired a wedding planner. She said that, “It was Mike’s project, it’s a surprise. I have no clue where we are going, which is nice. I know it will be warm, that’s about it.”  However, Fisher keep mum about it to the media of where they will go but report says that the newlywed will be setting off on Tahiti since the nuptial have been surrounded with clues about it.

Many new faces and shows as well as old veterans have made it to the cut for this year’s Emmy nod on Thursday, July 9, 2010! The 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon and will be aired Sunday, Aug. 29.

For the first-timer shows on Emmy nods include Glee, Modern Family and The Good Wife and even The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. “Glee,” the spunky TV musical comedy was a top Emmy nominee with 19 bids, including a nomination for its starrer Matthew Morrison, Lea Michele and Jane Lynch who will be up against stars from Modern Family. On the other hand, “Modern Family were given nods for best comedy series and for five members of its ensemble cast including Sofia Vergara co-star Julie Bowen are up for comedy supporting actress who will be competing against Jane Lynch of Glee, Kristen Wiig of Saturday Night Live, Jane Krakowski of 30 Rock (three time defending champion) and Holland Taylor for Two and a Half Men.  For its male cast, Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson are up for supporting comedy actor against Neil Patrick Harris of How I Met Your Mother, Jon Cryer of Two and a Half Men and Chris Colfer of Glee. The Good Wife, gain a nominee for best drama and recognition for star Julianna Margulies. Conan O’Brien is also nominated although he is already gone from “The Tonight Show” and was replaced by Jay leno. His stay in the show was still recognized along nominations for best variety, music or comedy series.

For the veterans, the unsparing World War II Drama “The Pacific” has gained 24 nods, making it the leading nominee for this 2010 Emmy’s.  This is a 10-part HBO miniseries about World War II by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. The final season of “Lost” also garnered nominations for best drama series and a nod for star Matthew Fox and supporting nominations for Terry O’Quinn and Michael Emerson. Moreover, the “Saturday Night Live” received 12 nominations for a total 126 nominations since its airing. This surpasses the “ER” with its all-time record of 124 bids. Nominations include one for Betty White who is already 88 years old.

For the networks, HBO received the most nominations with a leading 101 nominations, ABC in second place with 63 and CBS with 57. NBC got 48, Fox 47 and PBS 32.

Scheduled to be released on July 3, 2010, the fourth Spider-Man will be casted with a new face. Well, not that Spiderman will be unmasked, but the new face of Peter Parker will be claimed by Andrew Garfield. He will be taking the role from Tobey Maguire who starred in the first three Spider-man films.

Is it already sorry for Josh Hutcherson? Josh Hutcherson also auditioned for the role and was reported to be most likely replacing Tobey Maguire as the Spider Man. But like other hot young stars who vie for the topnotch role, Andrew Garfield beat them all out. Although Andrew Garfield is still somewhat a new name in the silver screen, he is an actor who has appeared in radio, theatre, film, and television. He is known for his roles in the 2007 films Lions for Lambs and Boy A, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus of 2009. He also made a modeling debut and appeared in Vogue for the December 2009 issue. Garfield is a dual citizen of the U.S. and the U.K being born in Los Angeles California by a British mother and an American Father.

Indeed, Sony Pictures already announced that a new Spider-Man has already been cast. Moreover, Sony Pictures is more than ecstatic to have Garfield as their new starrer for the re-launch of the Spider movie. Marc Webb, who will be directing the fourth spider man reboot on 2012, said that; “Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents, He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words; you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker.”

Sony Pictures’ co-chairman Amy Pascal along the president of Columbia Pictures responsible for the franchise of Spider Man has also rooted their confidence to Andrew Garfield. In a joint statement, they said that; “Spider-Man is a classic superhero — a young man who balances his responsibility to serve humanity and crush evil with the shyness and normalcy of someone struggling to find himself. The role demands an extraordinary actor. You need someone who can magically transform himself from Peter Parker into Spider-Man. An actor who will depict the vulnerability of youth and the strength and confidence of a legendary figure at the same moment. We have found that actor in Andrew Garfield. From the first time we saw him in the upcoming film ‘The Social Network,’ to his glorious screen test, which floored all of us, we knew that we had found our new Peter Parker.”

(An update to the previous blog post). Lindsay Lohan had returned to the court in a fitted black blouse and dark slacks on Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Lohan was accompanied by her sister Ali Lohan and her father, Michael Lohan was also present in the court room. This follows here recent controversial birthday punch by a waitress in a LA night club. The July 6 hearing is a probation revocation from a three-year drug and alcohol case that case could send Lohan to jail. And indeed, Judge Revel had sentenced 90 days in jail and 90 days in an inpatient substance abuse program for violating her probation.

The District Attorney’s office has witnesses who will testify that Lindsay was drinking the night when her SCRAM bracelet was taken off. This was after the MTV Movies Awards in June which Lohan had denied. They also claimed to have evidence that her alcohol-monitoring device was tampered with. On the other hand, Lindsay’s attorney said she was not prepared to cross-examine the witnesses, who will testify that her SCRAM was properly working. The District Attorney prosecutor asked Judge Revel to deem Lindsay in violation of the court. They said that the court is irrelevant to Lohan recapping the seven different classes that the actress had missed attending.  Lohan’s list of excuses started from January 5 pointing her reason of not getting a flight from North Carolina, for  February 24, she was attending a fundraiser for Haiti and promoting a clothing line in Europe, April 14 – class rescheduled for April 15 with no excuse given. She also gave the excuse that her uncle passes away for the May 12 class but Lindsay does not attend service and for May 20, she was in France for Cannes Film Festival. Judge Revel decides that Lindsay’s SCRAM going off will not be addressed in court today.

On the other hand, a sobbing Lindsay Lohan defends herself in between tears saying; “I wasn’t expecting any special treatment, except that I have to prove for myself, I did do everything that I was told to do and did… I’m not taking this as a joke; this is my life and my career… It did wake me up, it scared me”. Well,  Judge Marsha Revel sees otherwise.

Did a cocktail waitress punch Lindsay Lohan in the wee hours of July 3 on her birthday? Well, ask Jasmine Waltz. Waltz is the supposed to be waitress from a night club in Los Angeles, California which the actress, Lindsay Lohan herself refers to her tweet that, “A waitress just hit me”. Lohan did not name the waitress that she claimed had hurt her but further said that woman had punched her for no reason.  However, sources inside the club had told Access Hollywood (A TV entertainment news program covering events and celebrities in the entertainment industry) that indeed there was a punch that had occurred from Jasmine Waltz and over her ex-boyfriend Danny Cipriani who had recently been linked with Lindsay Lohan. Cipriani is a British Rugby star.

However, Jasmine Waltz has denied the actress’ accusation in a statement that she sent to Access Hollywood on the same day that the alleged punch had happened. Part of her statement read, “All I have to say is that disturbed little train wreck is delusional. I didn’t hit her, but I’d like too.” For a note, Jasmine Waltz had been reportedly dated several A-list personalities like Ryan Seacrest, Chris Pine and singer Jesse McCartney.

On the other hand, a representative of Voyeur had told Access Hollywood that they are in the middle of making a decision how to discipline the said waitress but likely, a higher percent that she will get fired. They added that the club was happy to have Lindsay Lohan to celebrate her birthday on the Friday. Sources had revealed that Lindsay had arrived in the club for the celebration with two friends and was table-hopping throughout the place.

Lindsay is due in court on Tuesday, July 6 where she will face again Judge Marsha Revel. Judge Revel was the one who previously ordered this 24-year-old to refrain from drugs and booze, ordered to be fitted with an ankle-accessorizing SCRAM device and ordered to undergo random drug testing at a very minimum of once per week. Moreover, Lohan is free on $100,000 bail pending a July 6 probation-violation hearing that if she’s found in violation, Lohan could face jail time. Will she extend her birthday celebration in jail after receiving a punch for a gift?

After several days of silence, James Yap has finally decided to speak up about the statement that her wife Kris Aquino made during the June 27 “The Buzz” Interview. According to Kris, her marriage to basketball super star James Yap is already over. (Read related blog here)

But on the statement that James Yap had send to the media, Yap is certain that he will fight for her family to be intact no matter what happens. He further stated his marriage with Kris Aquino had gone through a lot of turbulence and controversies and this issue will not be the cause of break-up with her.  However, he insisted that there is no third part involved in this latest marital problem with Kris but he did not point bout any reasons why they have come to this extent.  He wished that sooner, he and Kris Aquino will makes things right again between them.

Part of his statement reads: “Ever since naman, never n’yo akong naringgan ng kung-anu-ano tungkol sa relasyon namin ni Kris. Gusto ko talagang i-save ang pagsasama namin dahil, siyempre, may anak kami at hindi biro ang halos anim na taon naming pagsasama,” (Ever since, you(media) have never heard from me anything about my marriage with Kris Aquino. I jut really want to save our relationship because we have a son and the six-year marriage is not something to be joked about). Another reason that he wants to save his marriage with Kris is his promise to the late President Cory Aquino that he will take care of his family, Kris and his son Baby James including Josh. He and Kris made a promise in front of Cory that they will never separate as a married couple.

Also, James Yap explained in his statement the reason of his no show in the inauguration of Kris Aquino’s brother President Noynoy Aquino last June 30. He said that he sent a text to President and they already talked about it. Yap said that Pres Noynoy understands him and he doesn’t want to add to the problems that the new president will face in running the country.

Is Josh Hutcherson the new Spider-Man? Lots of internet sites including the infamous Twitter are buzzing in with reports that this 17-year old actor will be replacing Tobey Maguire for Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios fourth Spider-Man movie. This is in reference with the news that Maguire isn’t coming back for another Spider-Man series.

In a recent interview of Josh Hutcherson with Associated Press, Hutcherson said that he did auditioned for the role that Maguire left but he did not say anything further because he doesn’t want to be in trouble with anybody. However, he said that his superhero idol is actually Batman and a role as Spider-Man wouldn’t change that.Josh Hutcherson is that kid in the movie “Journey to the Center of the Earth” along actor Brendan Frasier in 2008. He also won several awards and nominations such as the Outstanding Young Ensemble in a New Medium for the movie The Polar Express, 2006 Best Performance in a Feature Film (Comedy or Drama) – Leading Young Actor for Zathura: A Space Adventure, 2007 Best Performance in a Feature Film – Leading Young Actor Won for RV and  2008 Best Performance in a Feature Film – Young Ensemble Cast for Bridge to Terabithia.

This film also won several awards ranging from Teen Choice Awards to the Saturn Awards, and was even nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound. This film also took the People’s Choice Award as the “Favorite Motion Picture.”
