2010 Lubbock’s Twenty under Forty Awards Program

Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock is pleased to announce the fourth year of Lubbock’s Twenty under Forty Awards Program, which recognizes outstanding individuals under the age of forty who exemplify leadership in their careers while actively participating in the community. This event will honor the top forty of which the top twenty will be named.

Event Details: 6pm Reception, 7pm Awards Program, TTU Frazier Alumni Pavilion

$15- Tickets are available NOW at the LEDA office (6th Floor Wells Fargo Center-Downtown) or by emailing ypgl@lubbockeda.org

Join us for the 2nd Annual YPGL First Friday Art Trail event, which will showcase art from young professionals in our community! Bring a children’s book to donate to Literacy Lubbock, and you will be entered into a drawing for a free bottle of wine! This year’s theme is “Authors Who Inspire You,” and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the art will benefit Literacy Lubbock, which provides adult literacy education free of charge to any adult 18 years and older. Bring your collector’s eye and help us support this great agency! This is a TOTALLY FREE event! Come out and show your support and bring a friend!! Friday, September 3rd, Art on Texas Gallery, 6-9pm

YPGL GET INVOLVED LUNCHEON: Who: Any members of Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock, What: Free box lunch and tour of the South Plains Food Bank, When: Wednesday, August 18th at Noon, Where: South Plains Food Bank, 4612 Locust Ave., Why: This luncheon is an opportunity for the food bank to share the mission, vision and services it offers to the people of this community. You may think you know what the Food Bank does, but just wait and see! Lunch will last approximately an hour. Attendees can park anywhere in the parking lot and enter through the office door. 2010 Twenty under Forty Nominations Now Being Accepted!

Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock is pleased to announce the fourth year of Lubbock’s 20 Under 40 Awards program. This exciting initiative aims to recognize outstanding individuals under the age of forty who exemplify leadership in their careers, while actively participating in the community.

Nomination forms are available online and will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Friday, July 30th, 2010. An independent panel of judges will then determine the top forty individuals from those nominated, and the top twenty will then be selected from that group. The 2010 honorees will be announced at a special reception in October.

Todd Reno, 2010 event chairman: “The 20 Under 40 program is a great way to recognize outstanding young individuals for their accomplishments. Lubbock has a diverse group of leaders working to better our community, but we need your nominations so we can recognize these young professionals for their work.”

Lubbock’s 20 Under 40 Awards program is presented by Young Professionals of Greater Lubbock. Sponsorship opportunities are also available; if interested, please contact the Twenty under Forty Planning Committee at ypgl@lubbockeda.org.
