Looking back at SPM in 2010 and 2011, our analysis have shown that it is not all about memorizing the text book to score A+ in your history lesson. If you have notice, the ‘SPM Sejarah’ have tilted more to the KBKK style where the questions undermine the concept of application and general knowledge. Students needs to be able to apply and “beri pendapat…” The questions are easier to pass but harder to score since students needs to blend in ‘suggestive and factual answers’

If you have seen and go through the questions for year 2011, you will be surprise how questions are thrown to students where answers are base on critical thinking. As for Sejarah 2012, don’t just memorize facts. Read more !!! be able to apply concept… we are heading to that direction.

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said reading books on a variety of subjects would only broaden their knowledge.

“Read in as many languages as you can understand, … it can be in Bahasa Malaysia, English or any other language.

“It helps to improve our grammar and the way we write and speak,” he said at a ceremony at the National Library on Monday after he had been appointed a National Reading Icon.

Form 2 Science Tips : Water Treatment

Water from the rivers are channel into the reservoir. In the Aeration Tank bad smells will be aired and removed from the water. Alum and Lime are added into the water in the coagulation tank. Alum will make particles join together to form larger particles while lime will decrease the acidity of water. In the mixing tank, alum and lime will be evenly distributed in the water the water. The water travels into the sedimentation tank so that large particles will sediment to the bottom. Lighter particles which floats on the water will flow into the filtration tank, suspended particles will be filtered. Clean water will then be stored at the storage tank. In the storage tank, chlorine and fluorine will be added in the water.
