Surely you've ever watched a video of someone falsifying your webcam, and you from your Linux desktop you have wondered, What I do I do that? So easy, with an application called WebcamStudio .

At first glance, WebcamStudio does not seem the best program we can find. However, delve a bit as we see it has a good chance. Its use is easy: simply a window where we can go placing items in the position you want it to go on webcam . These elements are those which give us the program: an image, free text, a feed RSS , animation, video, the output of a video camera or chat IRC .

You can insert the image from our webcam at which we can apply different effects . It also includes a viewer videos directly from YouTube, but unfortunately not working properly. Another drawback is that Spanish translation is not the best , and for example in the options window of "free text" changed "Reduce" to "increase".

In summary, a very useful and functional, but needs some minor touches. Moreover, WebcamStudio is free software , with the package DEB available for Ubuntu and the source code for other distributions.
