The characteristics of the 1903 version is a single back chair with an inclined seat and wide arms. Designer, Jack Briscoe's 2011 version of the Westport, has a triangle theme and he has incorporated modern day joinery. He used pocket-screw joinery, which involves drilling a hole at an angle into one board and then joining it to a second board with a self-tapping wood screw. Pocket hole joinery has become the new standard for strong, precise wood construction. Also in the construction of the chair he used wooden biscuits. An oval-shaped, highly-dried and compressed wooden biscuit, (usually beech), is covered with glue which expands the biscuit, further improving a bond that is often stronger that the wood itself. Biscuits also has become the new standard for strong, precise wood construction.

The plans come with Step-by-Step Instructions, Detailed Illustrations and the best of all: Full Size Templates. You don't have to spend hours to re-draw the plans from a 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper that you downloaded from the internet. The Chair measures 35" W x 32" D x 35" H.

Jack Briscoe has been designing Award Winning woodworking plans and craft plans for the past 20 years. It all started back in 1990 with a small display ad in a woodworking magazine. Today, he sells his woodworking plans to woodworkers all over the world. They can be found on the Internet, Woodworking Catalogs, Tool Catalogs, Craft Catalogs, as well as retail stores throughout the United States and in Canada.

The chair provides maximum comfort combined with a high back design that creates a chair that is truly a joy to sit in.

One of the first things you will notice during construction of the Green, Ergonomic Wine Barrel Furniture is the very pleasant aroma of the wine from the barrel. But, once the construction is completed and you seal the chair the aroma will dissipate.

The Wine Barrel Furniture is so very easy to build that even a novice woodworker will have no problems in construction. The woodworking plans contain Step-by-Step Instructions, Detailed Illustrations, and best of all, Full Size Templates, so you won’t have to redraw the plans from a 8 1/2" x 11" plans that you downloaded from the internet.

Everyone who builds the chair has a very enjoyable woodworking experience. One of the first things you will notice is the very pleasant smell of the wine from the barrel. You’ll also notice that there is very little cutting. There are a total of 25 Staves that are used in the construction of the chair, yet you only cut 6 of the Staves at first. Then when the chair is finished, you will cut the ends off another 10 Staves. For more information go to http://www.gcwoodworks.com/Wine-Barrel-Adirondack-Chair-Large.htm

Space can be a problem when you only have room for one piece of baby furniture, but you need three pieces. To solve this problem we designed the Baby-Sitter. With just a twist and a flip, the Baby-Sitter, turns into a Rocking Horse, a Desk and Seat, or a High Chair. The Baby-Sitter is three chairs in one and is both functional and fashionable. This will surely become a treasured heirloom that will be handed down from generation to generation. By request we have designed a Teddy Bear Sitter; Plan No. 201. It's half the size of the Baby-Sitter that's just right for your child's Teddy Bear or Doll.

THE BEST WAY TO GLUE DOWELS

When doweling pieces together, sand a small flat on one side of each dowel before inserting them. This allows any excess glue to escape when you clamp the joint. If you don't let the glue escape, the pressure could force the joint open again.
You are about to have the most enjoyable woodworking experience in building our Green, Ergonomic Wine Barrel Adirondack Furniture. One of the first things you will notice during construction is the very pleasant aroma of the wine from the barrel. Once construction is completed and you seal the chair the aroma will dissiapate.
Our Wine Barrel Adirondack Chair is one of the most comfortable wooden chairs that you will ever sit in. The curved back, the curved seat and the curved arms allows your body to actually mold to the chair. The chair provides maximum comfort combined with a high back design that creates a chair that is truly a joy to sit in. For more information go to Gold Country Woodworks http://www.gcwoodworks.com/Wine-Barrel-Adirondack-Chair-Large.htm
The Baby Sitter is one of our very popular furniture plans. The Child Furniture Plans are full scale wood plans. It's very easy to build, because of the step-by-step instructions, with
detailed illustrations and we have full size templates. You don't have to
re-draw the furniture plans from a small sheet of paper that you downloaded off the internet. Our furniture plans are 24" x 36" blueprints. Baby Sitter Furniture Plans... All it Takes Is Just A Flip And A Twist!

Space can be a problem when you
only have room for one piece of baby furniture, but you need three pieces. To
solve this problem we designed the Baby-Sitter furniture plans. With just a twist and a flip,
the Baby-Sitter, turns into a Rocking Horse, a Desk and Seat, or a High Chair. The Baby-Sitter is three chairs in one and is both
functional and fashionable. This will surely become a treasured heirloom that
will be handed down from generation to generation. By request we have designed a
Teddy Bear Sitter; Plan No. 201. It's half the size of the Baby-Sitter that's
just right for your child's Teddy Bear or oll. For more information go to http://www.gcwoodworks.com/baby-sitter_woowworking_plans.htm or http://www.gcwoodworks.com
Capture That Feeling Of Aerial Adventure!
Your child or grandchild can experience a flying adventure without having to leave the house. Designed with 1 1/2" solid wood that will stand up to even the most active young pilots. You'll receive both the Piper Cub and the Fighter Jet in this set of plans. For more information go to http://www.gcwoodworks.com/rocking_airplanes_woodworking_pl.htm
If your ship vac has a foam or paper filter that clogs quickly with wood chips, try covering the filter with old pantyhose.

A sure-fire way to remove a wooden plug that covers a screw head... Drill a 1/8 inch pilot hole through the center of the plug. Than drive a drywall screw through the hole. The hardened drywall screw bottoms on the hidden screw head and forces the plug up and out of the hole.

Baby Sitter Woodworking Plans... All it Takes Is Just A Flip And A Twist!

For more information go to http://www.gcwoodworks.com/baby-sitter_woowworking_plans.htm

For That Baby-Fresh Smoothness

Masking tape gets old in the shop and after a while it won't unroll very well. This is especially true in cold weather. As a remedy, I give a troublesome roll a 10 to 15 second zap in the microwave.

Are your dowels to tight? If that is the case, simply place the dowels in a microwave oven for three or four minutes. This will remove moisture and make the dowels easier to insert. This trick works great for joinery biscuits, too.

Color to Dye For

Instead of buying expensive pre-mixed stains to color your projects, try using Rit dye instead. This water-based dye is available in the laundry section of most grocery stores.
