Bowo,

Enabling this traditional transportation system with real time technologies would facilitate them with high income, in terms of increasing demand plus reducing empty trips. Further the welfare of Rickshaw pilots being taken care. Lot of government schemes are available, here team would act as enabler in order to bridge this gap. and overall they will enjoy their profession in a much dignified and better way.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder how the program would improve the welfare of the rickshaw driver?... For example, do they receive higher income?... Is there an improved situation in how their social status is elevated by participating in this program?

There is something similar in Jakarta, but with motorcycles (obviously, not as green as rickshaws). They however, managed to leverage the welfare of the drivers, because their professional services is valued as high as top-class Taxis in the city.

Hope that'd be useful as a reference.
