Computer in bedroom has movies, pics and music on it. I want to be able to stream the movies and pics to my HDTV in the living room(unreachable with wires) and the music to the reciever for the speakers in celing which is in the Kitchen. I also want to be able to stream the sound from the HDTV to the receiver in the kitchen.
-What hardware/software should I use? I want to do this on a budget too.
Ultimately I want to have a media center pc for the living room which i will be building slowly, but for now i have to deal with this

I have a Dell XPS, a gaming computer and a everyday Hi-Grade home PC. Anyway, the speakers for the normal comp broke. The gaming computer doesn’t currently have access to the internet, we are getting wireless in the week. I tried to connect the dell speakers to the normal comp, but they`re very odd. The dell speaker is a large black box, with a dial for changing bass, it has five slots, four for left and right speakers, and a large plug for the center speaker, which has a dial for changing volume. I have no idea how to plug it into my normal comp, I did it about a year ago, but put the speakers back into the dell. None of the plugs seem to fit, but I’ve made uit work before. Please help, because when something is explained on a video with audio- I can’t hear it and it’s really annoying.
THANKS!

I have had to move my PC upstairs and now can’t listen to my music downstairs.
I need some help on how to resolve this.
I though of Wireless speakers plugged in to the PC but that costs to much and they all seem to run on Batteries.
I had another idea of downloading all my files to a MP3 and playing it through a Stereo.
—————————————-…
So does any one have any better ideas of how I can have my music back?
Or
Suggest a MP3 player and Hi -fi that are compatible. If there is such a thing.
Only other issue is it can’t cost the earth I am not looking for the best just something decent I have around £200 to play with.
Please Help

Here’s my desired setup. I have my desktop PC on a desk that is hooked up to my good speakers. About 20 feet away is a bar where I have my laptop. I want to be able to browse and play mp3s through my laptop that are stored on the desktop. I know you can do remote desktop or free online services that have remote desktop but I assume if I clicked on a file it would just play through my laptop correct? Even if I just had it on shared hard drives it would stream it instead of just playing it on the host.
Note that both PC’s are on a wireless connection, and I could even get a crossover cable between the 2 if I wanted.
