GenSan YouTube sensation cousins Aldrich Lloyd Talonding and James Walter Bucong made their American TV debut on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, September 13, four months after DeGeneres discovered the video.

The Filipino boys whose video was uploaded on YouTube and became viral with their live performance of Luther Vandross hit “Dance With My Father” were flown by comedienne-host Ellen DeGeneres to the United States recently, to perform on her show.

During Thursday’s episode, DeGeneres interviewed the two cousins, who are B’laan natives from General Santos City. She asked them about how their life changed after their YouTube video became an online hit.

"People started recognizing us along the streets on in the malls. They even recognize us in the restrooms. That's weird," Talonding said.

Bucong added, "Many people do recognize me, especially girls. So it feels awkward when they say that they love me!"

Talonding, 14, and Bucong, 20, then performed live the song that made them famous in the internet, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.

After their performance, DeGeneres gave Talonding a set of musical instruments and $10,000.

The GenSan boys now join the growing list of Filipino talents that have appeared on the popular talk show, who include Charice Pempengco, Zendee Rose Tenerefe, Arnel Pineda, Rhap Zalazar and Fil-Canadian Maria Aragon.

During HERO Ball charity game, "It's Showtime" co-host Jhong Hilario made a never before seen stunt in his free throw. Before shooting the ball into the basket, Hilario did an unexpected backflip.

The video of 37 year-old dancer was posted to Youtube last week and has since attracted over half a million views. It was also picked up by international sports websites such as Yahoo! Sports, Bleacher Reports, NBC Sports, among others.

Miss Dominican Republic is from New York and I love how fierce she is. I am so in awe with Miss South Sudan and Miss Ghana because they are so beautiful and sophisticated.

We finally arrived in our new hotel! Michiko and I got really excited because we were given personalized towels and robes! How cool is that?!

“Ang Kwento ni Mabuti,” is an entry by Mes de Guzman in the 1st CineFilipino Film Festival this September. The film stars the one and only Superstar, Ms. Nora Aunor.

Directed by Mes De Guzman, “Ang Kwento ni Mabuti” is a morality tale about Mabuti, a healer who looks at life positively despite her poverty. Everything changes, however, when she accidentally finds a bag containing a huge stash of money. The five million pesos could bring an end to her family’s problems. But is the solution that simple or is it loaded with complications?

Filmed entirely in Nueva Vizcaya, the film marks the first time that Nora speaks Ilocano in the entire movie. Other cast-members are Arnold Reyes, Sue Prado, Mara Lopez, and Ama Quiambao.

Janice Perez’s directorial debut “Sabongero” (2009) was screened at the short film corner at the 2009 Festival de Cannes. Now her new movie “The Muses” is one of the 8 finalists in the upcoming 1st CineFilipino Film Festival. The film’s original story came from Perez and acoustic singer Kitchie Nadal with screenplay by Perez, Nadal and Janelle Jamer.
Synopsis:

The much-awaited search for the Philippine representative to the Fairground Music Festival in NYC unfolds at the Artists Hall at Benedicto College in Cebu. The live event showcases a battle of the bands and acts to determine the best of the best in the Philippine music scene. Marthe San Lucas, main vocalist of The Muses, one of the bigger contenders for the top spot, desires to win the audition contest at all costs. She arrives in Cebu two days ahead with her younger sister and the band’s main songwriter and guitarist, Marie, along with their fireball of a manager, Bunny, to do some promotional touring ahead of the big event. The fateful trip to Cebu leads both sisters to discover hidden truths about dreams, fame, family, and the real beauty and meaning behind their music.

Mike Alcazaren is a freelance television commercial director. He has won several Ad Congress awards and a First Prize in the 2007 Carlos Palanca Awards for Literature. His film Puti follows the story of a counterfeit painter who figures in a freak car accident that rendered him color blind. While recuperating, he starts seeing strange images.

Starring in the film are Ian Veneracion, Bryan Pagala, Lauren Young, Leo Rialp and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.

Synopsis:

Chiu is seen as Sandy, who, after going through a break-up, is left to ponder why she feels unwanted.
Matters turn worse for Sandy when she is laid off by her company, under the leadership of its new bachelor CEO, Alex Prieto (Lim).
Realizing his mistake when employees belatedly put in a good word for Sandy, Alex hires her back, and the two start forming an unlikely friendship.
In a love story about "the ugly duckling in all of us and how we turn into someone worth loving," Alex at one point even offers Sandy a make-over so she will no longer cry over a failed relationship.

Jackie Forster who was snob-ed by sons Andre and Kobe from Benjie Paras, showed her apology in a viral video "Remember Me"!

In a TV interview Forster’s sons said they wanted “space” from their mother, who allegedly did something traumatic in the past.

In a desperate move to get a message to her two sons, Jackie uploaded on YouTube saying it's her way and only way to "get my message across to my boys'.

Forster included the following message in the video, which features a collection of photos of their happy moments together:

“To my babies Kuya and my baby Kobe, I tried to write you so many times so I can give it to you one day but it hurt too much each time so this is my attempt to remind you how much I loved you and still do.
Please find in your hearts to remember it was mostly happy times. I tried to provide what I could and show you my love the best I knew how at the time. Sorry if those few times I was selfish.
Do your remember when I fought to get my rights back? The courts gave me weekends with you two. I came that very weekend. Remember what happened? Please remember... you wanted to come but...
I hope you are strong enough to let me back in your life. Wise enough to know who I am and how much I would do for you both. You will never know how much I’ve done just to try to get you guys back.

Angel Aquino agreed to play a transgender for the movie Porno, which tackles the pornography industry of the Philippines.

Her character named Alessandra underwent a sex operation in the past. Even though she gained a new body, she can still feel the stigma of her past identity.

Director Adolfo Alix Jr. shows the inter-connected lives of three people who are trying to find “the ultimate joy in their empty lives.” His entry has three segments featuring three persons who are all addicted to pornography.

Carlo Aquino is cast as Alecks, a teenager who works in the porn industry. Carlo says about his character: “Sa Recto, may mga motels, di ba? May mga nilalagay daw sila na mga hidden cameras doon. Tapos, yung mga ibini-video doon, idina-dub ko—yun yung role ko.”

Meanwhile, Yul Servo is cast as Xander, an assassin who loves watching porn.

Star Cinema has just revealed the official movie poster of "Four Sisters and a Wedding" !

This is the movie stars the biggest stars of their generation with Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao, and Angel Locsin playing the four sisters. The young actor Enchong Dee joined the four beautiful ladies playing their only brother.

The movie is under the direction of the box-office director, Cathy Garcia-Molina.

"Four Sisters and a Wedding" will be shown on theaters this coming June 26, 2013 and is Star Cinema's anniversary movie offering!
