Hilary Swank revealed: "I'd like to get my license and continue to go up on my own. I flew for 19 hours, but they couldn't let me go up when they were shooting. I taxi the plane - but that's on the ground, and I would like to see this through."

Hilary Swank says learning to fly is like reading a book. The actress took piloting lessons to prepare for her role as famous aviator Amelia Earhart in upcoming movie 'Amelia', and says the experience of trying a new skill transported her back to childhood. Hilary said: "Putting my hands on the wheel for the first time was a rush. After a certain age, there's not many firsts you experience in your life, so learning to fly reminded me of the childlike feeling of exhilaration when you first ride a bike or read a book." Hilary, 35, was disappointed to be banned by film bosses from completing her full pilot training and plans to continue working towards her license in future - even though she struggled to get to grips with some elements of the course.

Hilary Swank explained to The Scotsman newspaper: "I'd like to get my license and continue to go up on my own. "I flew for 19 hours, but they couldn't let me go up when they were shooting. I taxi the plane - but that's on the ground, and I would like to see this through. What I didn't know when I started was the calculations that go into flying. It was like I was back in school doing calculus. I don't sweat much - but I'd do a two-hour flight and I'd be drenched from the concentration. "I do want to go back. I don't want to just say, 'Yeah, I flew.' " The 'Boys Don't Cry' star also had different experiences of flying - jetting across the world so frequently to promote her projects that flight attendants started to mock her. She explained: "The air staff actually laugh at me because they know me so well and they tell me it's illegal for them to fly as much as I do. I'm constantly in the air."

Robert, who plays the role of Edward Cullen explained his own insight on the antagonist of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'. "The Volturi are the oldest known coven in the 'Twilight' universe." says Robert, while playing with his iconic hair. Speaking of Robert, he was spotted with Director Chris Weitz at a press conference in Tokyo, Japan for the promotion of the vamp flick.

Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson's "friend" Kristen Stewart told Blackbook Magazine that she doesn't want to have the fame that Angelina Jolie has. "I don't want to be a movie star like Angelina Jolie," she said. "Nothing about being a celebrity is desirable I'm an actor. It's bizarre to me that everybody's so obsessive," Kristen Stewart added. Mariah Carey uses "uplifting" songs to help troubled fans. The 'Hero' hitmaker stars in harrowing movie 'Precious' - based on best-selling novel 'Push' about an obese teenager who has two children through incestuous rape - and believes her music has helped girls in similar situations to the main character. She said: "There are a lot of girls that I see at my shows that may fit the description of what people might think a 'Precious' girl is. When I sing certain songs, you really see that it brings out emotions in them. "I see tears of gratitude or joy because they relate to the message. So that's why I continue to do songs that I feel will be uplifting."

Mariah - who plays a social worker in the film - said she could relate to the plight of the characters in 'Push', but it also made her more aware of other people's suffering. She added to Parade magazine: "I guess the button that the story pushed in me would be just empathy. I mean your heart has to go out to Precious because she is going through so much. Rihanna felt like "Britney Spears" after she was attacked by Chris Brown. The 'Umbrella' hitmaker was astonished by the attention she attracted after she was abused by her then-boyfriend in February, likening it to that of which the 'Womanizer' singer received following her well-publicized breakdown in 2007. She said: "I went to sleep as Rihanna and woke up as Britney Spears. That was the level of media chaos that happened the next day." Despite the horrific attack and subsequent publicity it generated, the 21-year-old singer is trying to remain positive and wants to be a role model for other women experiencing similar ordeals.

Rihanna added: "The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. "I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. "Domestic violence is a big secret. "It's one of the things women will hide, because it's embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery." Chris attacked Rihanna in his car as they left a pre-Grammy Awards party in February, repeatedly punching her in the face and biting her arms. He pleaded guilty to assault and in August was sentenced to six months of community service, 12 months of domestic violence counselling and five years probation. The judge also issued a restraining order which requires him to stay at least 100 yards from Rihanna for five years.

Amelle Berrabah "feels like a new person" after being treated for nervous exhaustion. The Sugababes singer is reportedly set to fly back to Britain on Thursday (05.11.09) after spending just under three weeks being treated for nervous exhaustion at a private clinic in Germany. A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Amelle is over the moon to be leaving the hospital at last. "She feels like a new person and can't wait to get back to work and put this sad situation behind her. "The clinic's programme includes acupuncture, as well as group therapy sessions, building up confidence and tackling insecurities. "Amelle's been doing a lot of exercise like hiking and running and said she's in a good place. She's ready to move forward with her life and get back to work with the band."

Amelle, 25, took time out from the pop trio after recent stresses within the band - which saw original member Keisha Buchanan replaced by Jade Ewen - became unmanageable. She had allegedly also struggled to cope with death threats from fans of Keisha and was described as a "danger to herself". Amelle is set to throw herself straight back into work with Jade and Heidi Range when she returns home. The 'About A Girl' singers have been forced to put back the release of their new album, 'Sweet 7', to February next year. The record was originally due to be released on November 23 with Jay-Z's Roc Nation and Island Records. They now need time to practice the new songs as a group and record girl Jade's voice on the album.
