For a whole year now, this blogs has not been attended to by myself.

I would like to apologize for the lack there of of any content.

I recently checked my emails and found that people are still checking out the tutorials that I have posted. For that I am very thankful.

With that in mind, I am now in the midst in deciding should I continue blogging or just continue this a hobby and post when I feel like it.

Making your blog pretty and nice is only half what it makes it traffic friendly.

For starters, you need back links. You need traffic.

The fastest way would be to basically submit your site on Google and edit your tags.

But tags just simply would not do, nowadays tags are sometimes ignored.

You need to make your presence known. And here are some tips to get you started.

1. Submit your site to Google, Yahoo, Bing. Getting crawlers in your site is the 1st step.

2. Sign up to blogs,forum et al where your niche is and get your identity known. There are times that people will get interested in your post that they simply wanna go see your site. Post interesting and helpful stuff.

3. Submit your site to free backlink providers. Simple run a google search on "free backlinks" you will get plenty of them. An example would be http://www.bulkping.com/fast-index-free-backlinks/

4. Google search "ping blog" and submit your link to each and everyone of them that you like.

5. And most important of all. Keep your blog interesting. Without any solid or good content. People will just glance and look away.

How to Setup OpenVPN on Samsung Galaxy 5 Cyanogen Mod 7 ROM

Prerequites:

OpenVPN settings; Can be downloaded from the Android Market or here.

OpenVPN subscription; You can find a lot of OpenVPN providers just search google.

Lets start shall we.

1. Download and install OpenVPN settings

2. Create a folder on your SDCARD and name it openvpn.

3. Download and place your subscription config files in the openvpn folder.

4. Launch OpenVPN settings and edit the preferences as shown in the screenshot below.

7. Connect and enjoy.

Shall we start:

1) Root your Samsung Galaxy 5. For stock users use Universal Androot, for Cyanogenmod users use Superoneclick

2) Install Root Explorer. Create a folder named openvpn on your sdcard. /sdcard/openvpn

3) Install OpenVPN installer and its binaries.
Install on the following locations /system/xbin > /system/xbin/bb

4) Use Root Explorer to check if the folder /system/xbin/openvpn exist.

5) Install Busybox and check if it exist on /system/xbin/busybox.

6) Install OpenVPN settings
- OpenVPN settings and go to options, then advanced.
- Kindly check Load tun Kernel Module
- Set patch to OpenVPN binary: /system/xbin/openvpn
- Go to the tun module settings: >> Load Module using >> Insmod
- Set path to the tun module : >> /Sdcard/openvpn/tun.ko

7) Run Root Explorer

- Go to the folder /system/xbin
- Mount the folder as R/W – the button is on the upper right
- Scroll down and look for the file OpenVPN --> Long press and set the following permissions

User: Read + Write +Execute
Group: Read + Execute
Others: Read + Execute

- Now press Meny key and create a folder and name it bb ( path should now be system/xbin/bb )

8) Install and run Terminal Emulator and run the following commands. Be patient as the screen is very small.

su
busybox ln -s /system/bin/busybox /system/xbin/bb/ifconfig
busybox ln -s /system/bin/busybox /system/xbin/bb/route

9) Your now set. All you need now is a VPN service to subscribe to. Or you may subscribe here

There are a couple of things that may be causing your RF client to go critical on you. A couple of them are listed below:

Damaged/Corrupted files or sectors on your HD

This may entail you to reinstall the RF Online Client. Most of the time it’s the rfonline.bin or rf.exe is damaged. Make sure that you always have a saved or back up copy of the two files.

Virus/Malware infection

Yes it sometimes happens, when your computer is infected that it just messes up your operating system.Run your Antivirus Scanner and update it. I suggest you try and download Malwarebytes from www.Malwarebytes.org. Download, install update and scan. Also, if your homepage is mywebsearch.com then its an indication that your host file is messed up and you have been malware infection. Same goes for if you see a lot of pop ups.

Damaged/Corrupted Visual C++ library

Download and install the Visual C++ Redistributable copy. You can get it on the link below: vcreditist_x86.exe icon.

Old Windows XP SP2

If your still too stuck in windows XP SP2, I suggest you update to SP3.

For Windows Vista and 7 you folks should be fine. Instead, make sure that User Access Control allow
RF Online to run.

Cheating Applications

EagleNT errors: You cheaters stop with the hacks; eventually you will mess up your Ahnlabs registry and give you crit errors. Also do not run WPE, Cheat Engine (and its many mods), MHS, ArtMoney, and the other cheating apps.

If you plan or use hidetoolz or Process Hacker ( use for multi logins ), make sure you know what you are doing.

When there is smoke, there is bound to be fire. Well, in this case a very very very slow burning fire.

Today, Level Up Games announced what was rumored since October of 2k10. Yes, there server merge will push through. And it will happen sooner than you think. Come March 8, what was Elixus and Verxial, will cease to exist.

There are no announcements yet on what the name of the new server will be. I’ll bet it has a letter X on it.

Server merge rumors have been mulling for the past 3 months now, and yet there are no concrete advisories from Level Up Games.

Usually when there is smoke, there is fire. And the new string of rumors is now again spreading like wildfire once again.When will this happen? If it’s bound to happen; we can never know until Level Up concocts solid statements.

Some say that we are bound for a surprise in February. I say February aint a surprise since we are bound to have explosions indoors and outdoors come February 14. Gents, better book VC early, since all of them will be full on that date. wink wink..

Anyways, my apologies for the virtual none post. The past 2 months have been, should I say “busy” in a way. Apart from work, my phone (yes my cheap android phone and its constant tweaks), I have been trying to shed weight. Yeah, I am fat, and I badly need to shed weight since my feet are now killing me. I am that heavy. And for those who want to know, I weigh at 73 kilos. Yes, that is 1 and a half sack of rice. Boooo!!! Fatty!!Jogging and martial arts will be my new hobby. I will still be posting some stuff here though.

Anyhow, does any one of you know where I can find / buy a Muk Yan Jong in Metro Manila?

Yes its out, existing and new PLDT Mydsl customers are in for a treat.

PLDT has is bundling a brand spanking shiny new Froyo tablet for all you PLDT folks. And to think that I was about to get me one of these babies.

Ok, enough of the drooling and back to business. Its packing Andriod 2.2 and is powered by a 1 Gig Cortex A8 CPU. Sounds very very Galaxy Tabish to me.

Samsung Galaxy 5 I5500/I5503 FROYO update

Yesterday, I got wind that a leaked version of my Samsung Galaxy 5 Froyo update was available for download and installation.

Right after work, I went straight home and started downloading the firmware. Updating the phone only took 5 minutes of my time.

So far so good, apart from some minor tweak and installation of apps since, I did have to go through the hard reset process.

RF PH : Yet another server merge.

Rumor has it and spreading like wildfire, that RF PH Verxial and Elixus servers are to converge as 1 server.

Apparently, the said rumor started after the announcement of Omicron, wherein the announcement had mistakenly stated that Verxial and Elixus will merge.

Insiders have reported that the merge will take effect after the new patch. Its also apparent that we will be jumping two patches to keep up with RF Global.

EPIC LG Marketing FAIL - Optimus One P500 Sale.

I woke up really, basically to fall in line for LG's 50% price slash sale for the Optimus One P500. It was pegged at PHP 6,450 against its PHP 12990 regular price.

Having the knowledge that there were only 50 units up for grabs, I went to SM Annex North EDSA anyway to join the fray. It was supposed to be a surprise gift for my lovely wife. Sorry dear, I will get you another phone next week.

At 5 minutes before 10, I was rather stumped when the mall was open. Going through a flight of escalators, I caught a glimpse of the horror that was before me. WTF, there was already a line; an effin mile long looping line. Where did these guys come from? Did they camp here all day?Or could they be employees of Stream 24/7 BPO housed in the same building? Hmmmm.. I smell fish.

The lone LG concept store clerk was now supplemented by 3 clueless clowns. I pitied the guys who fell in line. They had not known that there were only 50 units up for grabs per store. So, I said screw it, I am gonna pay my bills and play me some Playstation 3 upstairs.

Really, those folks who waited were hungry and sweaty as hell. They did not have to go through that. Had they been informed that only 50 units would be up for grabs during the sale, they would not have wasted a day’s time just for this freakin sale. And to think that the Metro was on high alert due to the travel advisories issues by the US and other countries.

Mall security was blatantly lacking. I was not even frisked. The guard just waved his metal detector. Top checking time; 1 sec. I kid you not. Also I noticed, that if you were a kid you basically bypass the mall security and just slip your way though the guards. Wow, I just imagined that if a terrorist was serious, he could have brought with him some kids. Put 1 or 2 bomb components on a back pocket and regrouped in the toilet and assembled everything there.

In less that 15 minutes he could have wiped out a line of people clueless waiting to a phone sale did were not even viable of obtaining in the 1st place.

The following things happened and are considered to be a Failure.

1. LG Marketing - False advertising.. Tsk tsk tsk...

2. LG Staff - They could have just apologies to the crowd initially and advised them that the line stops at 50.

3. Mall Security - You guys are very much always poking around when people are sitting on the stairs but you can't be serious with you frisking. WTF!
4. DTI - I was there, there was no DTI rep to oversee the event.

Anyway, gotta go.
