Thanks to Facebook I have reconnected with a good college friend who lives in Alabama. She also has a great love for sunflowers and has a lovely yard full of them. She is recovering from an illness and spends much time in her yard tending to all her beautiful flowers. I am sure her sunflowers have given her much pleasure with that process. She has graciously shared some photos with me. Thanks to SHF for helping brighten my day with these pretty photos. Notice all the butterflies on her flowers. I love the first photo as there are multiple butterflies on the sunflower. Absolutely glorious!

It’s amazing how one can spend an entire day doing nothing productive at all. It is hard to believe that my TV has been my link to sanity. Seriously, it has been turned on for at least 18 hours a day. In the beginning I just slept to the noise then slowly began watching prime time in the evenings. After I stopped taking pain RX then I started watching daytime TV which mostly consisted of HGTV. After a couple of weeks I had seen every single show at least two times then moved on over to DIY to see all those shows. Next, I pretty much saw every food show available along with most TLC shows. Throw in “American Pickers”, “Storage Wars” and “Pawn Stars” and I have been pretty much entertained. I also have seen every single show on the “Travel Channel” but had to turn that off because for a person trapped in bed viewing the top 20 beaches was not helping my mental attitude. “Diners, Dives and Drive-Ins” just serves to make me hungry. I mean, how many calories can I burn in bed???

This week my boredom is at an all-time high.  I have resorted to some really “out there” programming.

• “Dr. G: Medical Examiner”- Provides autopsies on unexplained deaths.
• “I Was Pregnant and Didn’t Know It”- Really quite amusing!
• “Swamp Wars”- No words to describe, but it makes me laugh.
• “Toddlers and Tiaras”- Don’t even get me started. I have time on my hands and would love to “talk” to these moms.

The one show I wanted to watch was “Hoarders”, however it only took about 15 minutes and I could not stand watching them sift through the filth so that was a quick no-go!

I have learned that the “Proactive” ads for a better skin advertise on every single channel at every hour of the day.  A few more days and I might even cave and place my order!

I have luckily watched lots of great movies friends have loaned me which helps break up the insanity of all this TV viewing.

I am thinking I am going to start some good books next week. I cannot live by TV alone. When I get to the walking part I pretty much am sure I will not ever have the TV on again.

This is my funny kitty who has become really good friends with my boot cast while we all watch TV!

Anyway, I am slowly leaving the “fog” I have been in. I know this process is going to be a little longer than I had imagined and now I am striving for patience. Well, at least Cowboy is hoping I am striving for patience! Cowboy has been a blessing for sure and he is really quite a good nurse!

For now this is my motto! A friend sent this to me and it about says it all.

Here are a few wildflowers. It has been terribly windy and the day I had my camera it was hard to catch a shot of anything as they were all blowing like crazy. Nevertheless I love all the pretty colors of yellows, whites, purples, oranges and pinks that I found this week. Waiting in anticipation for the next batch to bloom.
