While some people fear or despise the thought of a wedding, for most people it represents a happy and joyous occasion to celebrate a holy union between two people who truly love each other. If you are the groom in this wedding, then chances are that you have a lot of things weighing down on your mind. However, you must not let anything cloud your speech, as when it comes to wedding speeches groom has the expectations bar raised very high. So as the groom of the wedding, what topics should you talk about and how should you go about the whole thing?

To start things off, if everything is done traditionally you will be making your speech after the bride’s mother, so make sure to thank her for speaking her mind as she did. After that, it is of utmost importance that your remember to thank all of the guests that came, taking extra care to give your respect to elders or those who traveled very far to assist to the event. Subsequently, give a hearty thank you to the bride’s daughters for allowing you to take her hand in marriage. Once that is done, you should thank your own parents, your best man and the groomsmen for not only being your good friends, but also for assisting with the wedding.

Finally, once you’ve thanked everyone, compliment your future wife and make sure that everyone knows how highly you think of her, how much love you have for her and happy you are to be together. Finally, raise your glass in honor of the bridesmaids and the Maid of Honor, thanking them for all the help they provided with the preparations.

As an optional addition to wedding speeches groom may want to include some personal anecdote or a little joke in your speech, but do so only (and I can’t stress the “only” enough) if you firmly believe it won’t offend anyone and will actually be funny or interesting.

When your daughter is getting married, preparing the best possible wedding speeches for the father of the bride is something that all fathers will want to do. Not only do you want the father of the bride’s wedding speech to be thoughtful and meaningful for your daughter, but also for her and her spouse as a couple. So, in writing the speech, considering them as a couple, their relationship and how it has developed, and various aspects about them as a couple, are all things that should be mentioned in the wedding speeches for the father of the bride that are being written.

When writing the speech, considering the other speeches that will be given and the theme that you want to stick to are factors to consider as well. Depending on how close the father is with the bride and her groom, how well they know one another, and what type of mood the speech giver wants to give off (happy, sentimental, humor, etc), there are many different methods and styles that can be chosen when developing the speech, and writing out the speech that you are going to be giving on the day of their wedding. So, considering tone and the overall formality of the speech are also factors which will help the father of the bride write out the perfect speech for the occassion.

No matter what mood it is that you want to give off, in order to prepare the best wedding speeches for the father of the bride, taking the time to plan ahead, and considering what is going to be said in the speech, are factors that will help the father develop the theme and the tone for the speech, and will help them lay out the overall style and approach to go with for the speech.

When it comes to wedding speeches father of the bride is in most cases the first one to go, giving him the big responsibility of giving a nice opening for the other speakers. If you are the father of the bride and don’t really know what to do or how to go about the speech, don’t worry as the process is actually somewhat cookie-cutter, with specific things that you should mention; as long as you stick to the rules, you will be just fine.

First of all, it is important that you take your time to thank everyone in presence, especially giving your respect and admiration to the family elders, as well as the ones who traveled from far away to assist to this glorious event. After that, you should take the time to properly thank the bride’s mother, groomsmen, bridesmaids, and everyone else who helped to set up the event.

After the preliminary thanks are given out it is recommended to say a few words about the bride, perhaps even tell a little story about earlier days. The story should ideally be light, short and sweet, so obviously don’t bring morose themes into this such as the death of a family member for example.

Subsequently, you should turn your attention to the groom and formally welcome him in your family as your son-in-law, after which you should also welcome his family as well.

After you are done thanking and welcoming everyone, perhaps it would be time to share some piece of advice based with the newlywed couple based on your own experience. Once again, simply stick to something short, light and fun without going into too much detail about yourself… after all, the wedding is all about the bride and the groom.

Finally, as an appropriate ending to wedding speeches father of the bride congratulates the newlywed couple, proposing a toast and leaving the bride’s mother to take her place as the speaker.

Whether you are the best man or the maid of honor, there are many wedding speeches examples and formats that can be found online, in order to help you prepare your speech. Depending on the duration of and what you are looking for the wedding speech example to say, there are different types of speech formats that can be chosen. When you search for the examples and formats, you must first determine what type of speech you will give, whether it is humorous or serious, and what the duration of your speech is going to be. By having these factors determined, this will help guide you to the right wedding speeches examples to view, in order to help the speech giver prepare for their speech.

Depending on the couple, how they met, how long they have been together, and several other factors about their relationship, the wedding speeches examples that you will turn to might also vary. Although you do not want to use the exact example and format style, using online sites to find examples is a great way to start planning for and formatting your own speech. These examples are likely to be of great speeches that were given, and will therefore help you structure your own speech, and what you are trying to convey about the couple.

Depending on the relationship the speech giver has to the bride and groom (family or friend), the type of speech they are going to give is also going to vary. Therefore, choosing to use past wedding speeches examples, that have been given by family members or close friends, is a great way to start setting up your speech, and to help the speech giver prepare the format, length, and style of the speech that they will be giving on the wedding day.

When it comes time for you to stand up and address the crowd at any audience, you are going to want to leave a lasting impression and say some quality words of wisdom. However, most people are clueless as to how to write wedding speeches or even what they should start to say.

We are here to help you along the way and make sure you touch everyone who is attending your wedding event. Let’s start by breaking down the different ways to build your wedding speech.

Opening Lines
The opening lines and first words you are going to say, is what’s going to grab everyone’s attention and set the mood for your speech. One of the best ways to open up wedding speeches is with some funny humor to get people laughing.

Offering Thanks and Tribute to Parents
While you want to make your wedding speech fun and unforgetable, you don’t want to forget about thanking the people who made everything possible. Always mention the parents of both parties and thank the bridal parties and everyone else involved in the event.

Observations About the Wedding Event
If you really want to get risky and show you have an eye for fashion and quality, be sure to include a note about how glamorous the wedding event and atmosphere looks. Not only will the bridal party appreciate your eye for quality, but you will also make an impression on the wedding planner, the location holding the event and everyone else involved.

Proposing a Toast
Many times when giving a wedding
speech, you will start out with proposing a toast to the wedding couple, their families and friends. Proposing a toast is a great way to get everyone excited and pull together for a small celebrating towards the wedding party.

Putting It All Together
As you can see, there are plenty of ways for you to jot notes and ideas down to create the perfect wedding speeches. Take time to look over your final notes and make sure it all sounds smooth and delivers well.

While only a few decades ago people were quite traditional when it came to weddings, these days things have changed in unforeseeable ways. Most people these days simply do not care for traditions anymore, choosing to do things in a more spontaneous way, paving the way for new things and progress. While I am certainly not going to dispute the mentality which got us into the computerized age, it is true that traditions are there for a reason: some of them have actually been time tested, such as the one when it comes to the wedding speech order.

During the wedding there will be multiple people looking to give out a speech, either out of personal preference or because the social convention dictates so. Regardless, if you are organizing the event it is also your job to properly put together the wedding speech order. While it may seem quite simple at first, you would be surprised at how many weddings end up with awkward speeches simply because they haven’t been properly ordered.

While it goes without saying that there is more than just one wedding speech order, the following one happens to work quite well as can be confirmed by the fact that it has been used for decades upon decades.

First of all, the Best Man gives his speech, after which the Maid of Honor takes her turn. Once the closest friends are done saying their piece, the parents of the bride take their turn to speak, after which the parents of the groom take theirs. Traditionally, the father talks before the mother in these cases. After the parents are done, the groom and the bride give a speech of their own, which ends list of wedding speeches, unless of course there are some notable guests of honor attending who would like to say a word or two themselves.

When preparing the wedding speech, depending on who you are in relation to the couple, and how close you are to them, there are many wedding speech jokes that you may want to throw in to the speech, in order to commemorate the relationship, how the couple met, or anything about their relationship. But, when choosing to add in jokes for the wedding speech, the speech giver has to make sure that they are jokes that all guests will understand (not an inside joke between the couple), and they should also make sure that the jokes being used in the speech is classy and fits the theme of the wedding. So, making sure that any wedding speech jokes which are added in to the speech are location appropriate (depending on where the reception is held), and fit the theme, are all factors to consider when writing the jokes and the speech.

Considering all factors of the speech, from the beginning to the end, and the couple, as well as how well the speech giver knows the couple, there are certain wedding speech jokes which may not be appropriate for the wedding or for the reception; especially considering the types of guests who are going to be present at the wedding reception. So, when you are preparing the speech, thinking about what to say and what to leave out, and whether or not you are going to include any jokes in to the speech, the speech giver has to consider all factors that go in to writing a quality speech, and they have to make sure that the particular jokes they want to tell are appropriate for the theme and the wedding guests. Taking the time to consider these factors will allow you to add in the most appropriate wedding speech jokes to your speech.

It goes without saying that a wedding is truly an exciting moment in your life, especially considering that ideally there will be only one of those. Naturally, the people of importance in the event are expected to make some type of wedding speech. However, the truth is that a lot of people are simply shy of speaking in public, especially when it has to be done in front of an incredibly large audience consisting mainly of very close friends and family members… in other words, there is no lack of pressure.

So what exactly should you include in your wedding speech in order to make it fun, thoughtful and engaging? Well, to start things off you should consider that depending on what your role is in the wedding your speech is going to be somewhat different. However, there are a few elements which remain constant, regardless of what your role is.

First of all, you must remember to thank the person who made a speech before you did, unless of course you are the first to go. After that, you must remember to properly thank everyone for coming to this day of joy and celebration. Make sure to single out the people who have traveled very far to attend, as well as the elders of the family in order to convey how thankful everyone is for what they have done.

Second of all, it never hurts to share some type of personal anecdote relating to either the bride, the groom or both. Make sure however that your chosen anecdote is tasteful and not offensive in any way to anybody, as a bad joke can without a doubt ruin a perfectly good wedding speech. After that, if you are neither the bride nor the groom you may give them a small bit of advice coming from your personal wisdom.

Finally, remember to propose a toast to the newlywed couple, as that is the proper way to end any wedding speech, regardless of who you may be.

When it comes to planning a wedding there are so many things to take care of its simply unreal. However, this is a day which ideally comes only a few times in a lifetime… in other words, all the effort is worth it in the end. One of the parts to which a lot of people look forward to during weddings are the speeches given by the people closest to the bride and the groom. However, there are so many different and sometimes borderline ridiculous ways of going about the wedding that many simply mess up the order of wedding speeches, because that is one thing the traditions got absolutely right.

Now, naturally I’m not saying that there is only one absolute order of wedding speeches which must be followed or else the apocalypse will happen. There is a however a generally-agreed upon order which actually makes a lot of sense when you think about it… so if you don’t have any creative ideas as to which order the speeches should be given in, then you should definitely go with the traditional model.

So what is the generally agreed-upon order of wedding speeches? Well, first comes the Best Man to deliver his speech, after which the Maid (or in some cases Matron) of Honor takes the stage. After the best friends have said their share, it is now time for the bride and groom’s parents to give their speeches, with the bride’s father starting things off and the groom’s mother ending them. Finally, after the parents are done talking it is finally time for the groom to give his speech and share show his feelings for his future wife to everyone, after which the bride takes her turn to do the same. After the bride is done, any guests of honor who want to say a piece should be more than welcome to do so.

The speech given by the maid of honor is among most important duties her most important duties. This speech usually takes place about during the beginning portion of the reception before everyone begins to leave. You will for certain be giving the speech in front of a big crowd for your speech.

The best man’s speech is important but primarily centers on the groom. The speech given by the maid of honor is more focused on the bride. Your role is to keep her entertained and please her with your speech. It is natural to be nervous speaking in front of people. A few hints will help make the speech a success.

Good speeches not only have the bride laughing but it should have the crowd laughing, too. If you grew up with her, relate a funny incident from your childhood. Otherwise, tell a story about the first time you met her and the number of years you have known her. This sets the right tone for the speech. You can also mention a funny habit the bride has the groom may find annoying and give words of wisdom. Other ideas include telling how good the bride and groom look together or offer spiritual encouragement if the couple is religious. If you are the sister of the groom and you aren’t familiar with the bride, talk about the qualities your brother was hoping to find in a spouse. Remember to keep thing positive.

Many maids of honor give speeches without writing anything down to prepare them. Writing down a few preparatory notes can save you some trouble and help you remember your speech. Rehearse your speech in front of family and friends to get pointers on ways you can make the speech better. Feel honored you have been chosen to be part of the ceremony and do your best.
