Twig style wedding bubble favors are a wonderful gift to give to the guests at your wedding reception. These not so new colors are rising in popularity.  Bridesmaids’ dresses in these colors look stupendous when paired with groomsmen in tan, grey or brown.  With the wide variety of materials to choose from, the color is only the first aspect of selecting a dress for the bridesmaids.  Depending upon the fabrication, the look changes drastically.  Satin dresses project a sexy, taunting image while chiffon projects an air of innocence.  So depending on the time of day, whether it is an indoor or outdoor wedding, selecting the color and the fabrication can do wonders in setting the theme for the wedding.

Chiffon is appropriate for a daytime summer weddings, indoors or outdoors and beach weddings.  Satin, taffeta and tissue faille are appropriate for night-time weddings.  Organza is such a statement fabric and looks most appropriate when worn at night.  Of the two colors, you may prefer peach for daytime, but olive can easily be worn during the day as well. Both colors peach and of course olive are beautiful traditional colors that are making a resurgence onto the fashion scene.  They were always great colors and it’s about time for them regain popularity once again.

When choosing your  wedding  palette, there are some factors that you have to consider. Take note that you may use what color you have in mind right now or that of your favorite color. These will help you determine what colors to choose. In other words, personal preference plays a certain role here.

You may have to consider choosing your wedding colors based on the setting of the wedding and of the reception. Take in consideration of  the decorations, the draperies, and the carpet of the selected venue.

Next, you have to decide what atmosphere you would want to create during your wedding day. If you want it to look very tranquil, you may choose a shade of blue as your accent color. If you want to exude an air of sophistication and elegance, choose lighter shades. If you want it fresh and fun, you may have any bright hue in mind like orange!

Another fun way of choosing your color theme is to consider the time of the year your wedding will take place. Summer and winter colors generally are lighter ones, while it is good to pick darker shades during fall and spring.

If in case you already have a choice color by now and it would blend perfectly well with the setting, the season and the atmosphere you want, you may try contrasting it with other hues. Summer Wedding Pros

Summertime is considered by many to be the best time of the year to have a wedding and for good reasons too.  During summer, one could plan a wedding with more options in particular; one can plan an outdoor wedding because of the wonderful weather. You can have a beach wedding, garden wedding or any place that suits the couples’ fancy. The warmth and sunshine will go well with the wedding theme and will add charm to the already in bloom flowers.  It is also the time where many people are free from work and school making it more over an ideal time to have a wedding with all of the family members around. It also proves to be the perfect time to travel whenever the couple decides to follow on with the honeymoon afterwards. 

Summer Wedding Cons

One thing to consider when planning a summer wedding is that there are probably a handful of other couples getting wed thus caterers, wedding planners and even wedding photographers are hectically busy.  It can also get very hot during the summer and might prove uncomfortable for guests and the couple to be wed to have a beach, or garden wedding.

Guests along with the couple to be wed should wear attires that are light and comfortable to suit the weather.  It is also best to plan ahead and or choose a day where people involved are available and away from work and school obligations.

Winter Wedding Pros

Even though many consider summertime to be the best time to have a wedding, a winter wedding can be equally magical and enchanting. Having your own winter wonderland is not difficult if one is able to plan the winter wedding right.  For couples who favour the snow, a winter wedding will still be as enchanting as a summer wedding. Having a wedding on a ski lodge or winter hall can be a glamorous event. Prices for venues and catering are also lower compared to other times of the year. Couples can also have an assorted of magical themes from Christmas, Ice Fantasies up to Valentines.

One big disadvantage of having a wedding during this time of the year is of course the weather. Travelling both land and air can be affected depending on the weather patterns which might make it difficult to follow to the dot the wedding plans. Even though most are off from school and work, people are also considering Christmas thus, guest might find it hard to come by because of their obligations to their families as well.  The obvious loss of green and colourful foliage is missing if you have a winter wedding and you will have nothing but white for a window view.

Deciding whether to have a summer or winter wedding ultimately depends on what the couple wants. Thus it would be wise to analyze their options, weigh in the pros and cons before deciding when to have the most memorable, glamorous and important event of a couples life.

You could play with the candy theme a little more than just chocolate. You could use candy stripes ( think peppermint sticks) a theme wedding is all about personality and the Bride & groom set the tone.

If you go with the chocolate I would most defiantly not use black tuxes next to the brown brides maid dresses. Take a sample of the dress fabric with you to the tux shop, it will help a lot.

The venue is one of the biggest choices you will make, and should be considered carefully. By all means, look at the different options available to you, see if they “fit” the theme colors you have chosen.
