Until you get up and move, you will never be as healthy as you can be. This article will give you the strategies you need to get your body into tip-top shape.</p>

<p>Start small! When you have a minute or two to spare, start it and do some exercise. It could be 1 minute of squats, or 3 minutes of running up and down the stairs.</p>
<p>You could go for a jog around your house or do some sit-ups. Whatever movement it is, it will get your blood flowing, plus studies have shown that small bursts of exercise are more effective at burning calories and fat than long sojourns.</p>
<p>Once you are easily achieving 30 minutes, bump it up to 45. Don&#8217;t forget to set that timer on the weekend! While short bursts are great, include longer spurts of activity as well. <p>Obviously  if you are female this is not an issue. But for us men,   &#8220;gynaecomastia&#8221;, often jokingly referred to as manboobs (we can thank   &#8220;Seinfeld&#8221; for that) is anything but funny.</p>
<p>From this point on, I&#8217;ll refer to it as &#8220;MB&#8221; if that&#8217;s okay by you.</p>
<p>MB is not an age thing. It can occur at almost any time in life. However, for those of us over 35, it is more common.</p>
<p>This is just one of the many symptoms of &#8220;andropause&#8221;, or &#8220;male menopause.&#8221;</p>
<p>When  you age your testosterone levels decline&#8230;and more than that  the  testosterone gets &#8220;weaker&#8221; due to an imbalance between it and  estrogen.</p>
<p>When  you combine that with our modernized &#8220;estrogen-rich&#8221;  environment that  Dr. Holly Lucille frequently lectures on, you have a  problem.</p>
<p>A big MB problem.</p>
<p>MB is associated with lack of drive (you know what I&#8217;m talking about guys) and excess bellyfat due to the estrogen.</p>

most popular nutrition switches I&#8217;ve posted so far:</p>
<p>Nutrition SWITCH #1 &#8211; No More Dessert for Breakfast</p>
<p>If you want to lose fat, stop eating dessert for breakfast.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s be honest, most of what people eat for breakfast would<br />
qualify as dessert if served at any other time of day. So<br />
stop with sugary cereals, muffins (let&#8217;s be honest, we all<br />
know that muffins = cake), granola bars, and bagels.</p>
<p>Nutrition SWITCH #2 &#8211; Switch Your Eating Schedule</p>
<p>If you find that you often &#8220;binge snack&#8221; at night, try having<br />
a bigger late afternoon healthy snack, and then having a later<br />
healthy dinner.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s no magic to not eating after a certain time. I often<br />
eat a big healthy dinner and go to sleep within 30 minutes.<br />
That won&#8217;t make you fat. Eating a pint of ice cream &amp; bag<br />
of chips every night while you watch TV makes you fat.</p>
<p>Nutrition SWITCH #3 &#8211; Minimize the Junk</p>
<p>Your house doesn&#8217;t need to be stocked like the local 7-11.<br />
Keep the minimum amount of treats at home to avoid mutiny<br />
and keep treats out of sight &amp; hard to access.</p>
<p>Make healthy foods (giant bowls of fresh fruit) visible and<br />
places encouraging notes to eat the fruit in the kitchen.</p>
<p>Put ready-to-eat produce in most visible part of the fridge<br />
&amp; hide junk in the back. All research proven to increase<br />
healthy food consumption. And when it&#8217;s your time for a<br />
cheat meal, you can enjoy it guilt-free.</p>
<p>Nutrition SWITCH #4 &#8211; Go From Processed to Natural</p>
<p>When possible, switch out all processed or &#8220;modified&#8221;<br />
carbohydrates and replace it with a fruit, vegetable, or nut.</p>
<p>For example, instead of toast with eggs, have an apple and<br />
add spinach to the eggs. Instead of a processed carbohydrate<br />
with your morning coffee, have 1oz of raw nuts (almonds or<br />
walnuts). With steak, eat broccoli, not mashed potatoes or<br />
French fries.</p>
<p>Nutrition SWITCH #5 &#8211; Cut the Sugar From Your Post-Workout Drink</p>
<p>If you&#8217;re focused specifically on fat loss, you do NOT need<br />
to add sugar (or any variations of sugar) to your after<br />
training drink.</p>
<p>I interviewed top nutritionists about this in 2010, and they<br />
all agreed that for fat loss, you don&#8217;t need to force post-<br />
workout sugar into your body. So take it out.</p>

<p>What is your &#8220;big dream?&#8221;</p>
<p>I have two:</p>
<p>&#8211; To make an impact on the lives of over 10M people before I die;</p>
<p>&#8211; To have a family that&#8217;s mobile so I can live in many places.</p>
<p>Not bad, right?</p>
<p>Want to know a &#8220;third&#8221; dream of mine?  One that I saw become a reality a few years ago?</p>
<p>To gain muscle AND <strong>burn bodyfat</strong> all at the same time.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s like a pipe-dream that somehow worked its way through the pipes and into my gym.</p>

<p>Most pros disagree with me. They think it is metabolically impossible to gain muscle while in a state of low-calorie dieting.</p>
<p>They are wrong.</p>

<p>I  remember a friendly argument with my co-author of Fit Over 40 Tom   Venuto. It all started when I told Tom how I was eating and training for   my last peak. A peak is where you lower your bodyfat and try to   maintain as much muscle mass as possible.</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s just no way I  could ever get in shape eating and training  like that,&#8221; says Tom.  &#8220;Sure you could man&#8230;what are you, a mutant?&#8221; Tom  fires back, then me,  then Tom&#8230;.and so it goes. (I really didn&#8217;t call  Tom a mutant. That  was creative liberty.)</p>
<p>So why are so many fitness pros like Tom  freaked out about my  training and nutrition plan? Simple: I claim it  burns fat while building  muscle at the same time. Every time I read an  article by some doctor or  expert claiming it&#8217;s &#8220;biologically  impossible&#8221; to gain lean muscle mass  on a hypocaloric diet (a diet low  in calories) I just laugh.</p>
<p>I do more than make claims&#8211;I have  proved this to be true many  times. I&#8217;ve had my bodyfat hydrostatically  measured during several  peaks. In all but one I showed an increase of  muscle mass and a decrease  of bodyfat during a 12-16 week period. The  one time I didn&#8217;t show an  increase in muscle mass when was I was  training the most in the gym.  That may not make sense right now, but it  will in a moment.</p>

<p>Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle makes some outrageous claims, has a bunch of larger-than-life testimonials, and costs more than your average hardcover book. When scrolling through the (very long) official website, your mind will be racing with questions wondering if it’s a scam or a legitimate program, because you have to admit, the concept behind the program is very intriguing.</p>

<p>After a little more research, you’ll find that Burn The Fat was released in 2002 and was the #1 e-book best-seller for 4 years in a row. Most Internet weight loss programs haven’t even been around that long, let alone topped the charts that long. Also, New York City publishers and major magazines like Men’s Fitness don’t give the time of day to fly-by-night Internet marketers, so there’s some credibility.</p>
<p><strong>But the real question is, does the program actually work?</strong></p>

You’ll also find several Burn The Fat Yahoo groups. There is also a paid online support community (sponsored by Venuto), called the Burn The Fat Inner Circle, with thousands of members using the Burn The Fat system. Membership to this site is optional and doesn’t come with the e-book.</p>
<p>With a little more online research, it’s easy to find positive reviews and before and after photos of people who have successful used Burn The Fat to lose weight. You’ll also find some YouTube videos and blogs devoted to chronicling the training journals and nutrition programs of fat burners.</p>
<p>It’s hard to dispute that Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle is one of the most established fat loss programs online.              Not only is third party proof all over the Internet, this program has been around since 2002.
