The Swedes that is...I was checking out this place on Alvhem Makleri & Interior and here is how my thought process went....

Nice, clean kitchen...not too much counter space...nothing too amazing...although of course it beats my kitchen.... Score: Sweden 1 Waxy 0
Small Bedroom...not even room for a side table or a queen size bed (unless that is one..looks like a full to me?) Score: Sweden 1 Waxy 1

Nice Living Room...nice wood floor with bonus chevron pattern...cool lamp with tripod legs...that chair has no ottoman...what? No points awarded due to lack of ottoman...

Other side of living room...meh...nice crown molding...typical couch...WAIT...what the heck is that on the ceiling???
Oh crap...really? Ok...no more keeping score...Sweden wins AGAIN!

Um, ok...I am a spaz who HATES perfume samples in magazines...so when my November Glamour arrived today I got to tearing and tossing...but this one caught my eye...and I don't dare smell it...is it Elephant dung? Ok - Vampire books, movies, TV shows, etc, etc.....WE GET IT!
Yes, I have read the entire Twilight series and mostly enjoyed it but it is getting a little bananas when I have a dream about my husband of 8 yrs who wouldn't hurt any person/animal (unless they were asking for it of course...KIDDING!) as a vampire! Hell, he even saves bunnies from window wells!
So Vampires give me a break...my husband is not evil. (Insert picture w/ proof here)
He is even trying to save this poor stuffed pig from Ducky's clutches!!!

Yes, you read right...I got a phone call today from my hairstylist that I have been going to for almost 2 yrs - apparently she is not doing hair anymore? WHAT? Uh, ok....

So how does my cheap ass break it to my husband that he will now be taking on hair coloring duty (along with a box of color procured from Target of course...he will not be mixing his own)? I have a feeling that saving $$$ will not appeal to him as he is greatly opposed to doing anything around the house at all (with some exceptions...that was gross...sorry). After all, if I do it myself I will have a jacked up section in the back that I clearly missed.

Any advice? I am scared of what I will need to agree to in order to get this deal done...

Have I mentioned that I have an AWFUL 1950's kitchen lately that is in DESPERATE need of an overhaul? Well, I do and it does. Here are some cool ones I spotted on LivingEtc today...

Love the clean white cabinets and the concrete countertops and floor in this kitchen - the pink accents don't hurt either (those stools are HOT!)...although there is some sort of toy on the floor - who let the kid in???

Yes, you can't really see this kitchen...but that's the beauty of it! There is a sliding glass panel separating the kitchen from the dining room - this would be a good solution for someone like me who can't decide whether to keep the kitchen separate as it is now or open it up...

No matter what I do, my kitchen will probably NEVER be this bright...but I'll definitely put a pink deer head on the wall if I can get one...

Yes Sweden...I know you decorate better than me, your homes are prettier and your weather is probably more consistent...but must you keep showing off? Look at this window! If I had half the amount of sunlight streaming into my house (not to mention the taller than tall ceilings) I would be happy as a squirrel driving a car (I imagine they would like driving? Don't you agree?).
