A quick look into the album

The album is introduced with a raspy voice wordplay from “B2Funny” that has statements that are as smooth as they are quotable. The first song “A Patient’s Patience” has the perfect amount of bounce mixed in with metaphors and bars that are personal, but still can blend into a commercial TikTok quote. The first thing I noticed with Jay is his metaphors seemed to be a little bit more compact and intricate. The production has a southern bounce that's reminiscent of 2010; but mixed with Jay's immaculate flow pattern, it feels beyond current. The flow pattern Jay manages to weave in and out of patterns consistently, that keeps you on the edge of your seat without the need for fill-ins (adlibs) to keep the flow interesting. The first song was absolutely perfect as an intro and set the setting for the rest of the album. The next song “Mitch Match” follows similar production patterns as the first song; bounce; heavy bass with crisp ticks. Jay DaSkreet once again delivers an untouchable flow pattern; you are immediately gravitating to the bounce and can't really snap out of the trance. The next song “No Love” slows the flow down a little and gives a more current “flow pattern” that’s more reminiscent of what you would expect to hear on the radio. Populated with adlibs, stop and go, and a more “easier to digest” sound. What is great is that Jay still manages to press words together that separate himself from the pack as a writer and a performer. It just sounds flawless, and easy, but if you were to attempt to deliver those same words, you would find yourself slipping up. The chorus on the record doesn’t really fall into the same impact as the verses, still gives something, but not the same level as the verses. R.W.A. the next record, he decides to deliver his rawest most intricate lyrical record on the album. When he starts to explain how he compares to other M.C.s (respectfully) he kills, and mentions the artist but in such a vivid way to digest, you are just left with the “disgusted face” as the production continues to elevate with his flow. This record is meant to be performed even though it’s the shortest song on the album, the instrumentation, just helps continue to build the excitement. “Recreational Use” is the party-single this album needed to keep that perfect balance and it was delivered. A Westcoast vibe, with a southern baseline, gets in the vibe before he jumps fully into verse. The chorus, which may be the best on the album, is perfect. One thing we would have hoped for was better vocal clarity and mixing during the chorus to help differentiate certain parts, to make the “Party Over Here” more impactful. Cleaner ticks and vocals would have made the music hit even harder, a louder sample to perfectly blend with Jay would have given this record an extra push. The verse once again, is just “drippy” with quotables littered throughout. The album slows down a little and some of the songs in the 2nd half don’t feel as impactful as others. The bypass surgery concept isn’t fully apparent towards the credits, but it doesn’t discredit the art in any form. Jay DaSkreet returns again and gets your heart racing with his infectious lyrics, quotable punchlines, and heavy-laced-based tracks. His heartfelt lyrics, mixed into every record, make you feel as close as you can without knowing him personally. The choruses take a back seat on this album and didn’t really break through as much as the verses. Bypass Surgery is an album to get your heart going again if you have been feeling hip-hop has missed a beat or two lately. Take some time to make some time, and listen to Jay latest album, BYPASS SURGERY.

The post resulted in his Instagram account being suspended. Just hours after the Meta restriction, Kanye took to Twitter to continue the attacks.

Kanye’s antisemitic tweets marked the first time in nearly two years since he has posted to Twitter. Elon Musk welcomed his return to the platform, tweeting ‘Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!’

But not everyone has been so welcoming. Jewish groups are blasting Kanye’s comments, and are currently organizing to take action against the disgraced rapper.

Man tries to rob bank in Mississippi to get money for sex change.

Serial bank robber named Iconic Facce was found guilty this week on two counts of armed robbery for robbing a Mississippi bank two years ago to finance sexual reassignment surgery. Ahead of her trial, Iconic Facce pleaded guilty to the charges and was given the maximum sentence of 15 years.

Facce entered BancorpSouth in Gulfport, Mississippi on March 22, 2019, where she handed a teller a note that read, "You have 1 min to give the money do not be wrong or die." No weapon was shown during the robbery, and still images from the surveillance footage were sent out to the public to help identify the robber.

Ashford Police were able to identify Facce, and they showed a photo lineup to the tellers at BancorpSouth, who identified Iconic Facce as the robber. Facce was arrested at the Houston International Airport, as she attempted to reenter the county one week after the robbery. She was returning from Mexico with her face covered in bandages following plastic surgery.

Facce, who was previously known as Jimmy Maurice Lewis II, was found guilty of another robbery on January 20, 2009. Facce was sentenced to 51 months to serve in that case.

Update 01/27/2021 10:10pm:

Prosecutors have formally charged Chad Wheeler with a single count for each of the following: first-degree domestic violence assault, domestic violence unlawful imprisonment, and resisting arrest.

In court documents obtained by TMZ, prosecutors say: "The defendant, who is physically conditioned and trained to compete at the highest level of professional sports, strangled, suffocated and beat the victim into unconsciousness -- twice -- both times leaving her for dead as blood poured from her nose and mouth, and into her stomach and lungs."

The Ex-Seahawk is due back in court next month.

Former Seattle Seahawks lineman Chad Wheeler broke his silence on the domestic violence allegations he was arrested for this past weekend. The football player apologized for his actions on Twitter and expressed his shame while blaming the incident on a manic episode.

"Events happened over the weekend that transpired from a manic episode," Wheeler tweeted. "I am deeply sorry for the pain and suffering that I have caused to [the victim] and her family. I apologize profusely for the turmoil that I have caused to my family, teammates, fans and those closest to me. The most important thing right now is that [the victim] gets the care she needs and I get help. Both are happening."

Wheeler also revealed that he will be stepping away from football while he seeks help.

"It is time for me to walk away from football and get the help I need to never again pose a threat to another," he continued. "I cannot express my sorrow or remorse enough. I am truly ashamed."

While the Seahawks initially stated they were gathering information on the alleged assault, the sports franchise announced that they would not resign the offensive tackle and encouraged their former player to "get the help he needs."

"The Seahawks are saddened by the details emerging against Chad Wheeler and strongly condemn this act of domestic violence," the team said in a statement. "Our thoughts and support are with the victim. Chad is a free agent and no longer with the team."

Seattle Seahawks offensive tackle Chad Wheeler was arrested in Kent, Washington, Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence.

According to the police report, the victim called 911 after locking herself in the bathroom and claimed she was being "killed" following a "physical fight" with her boyfriend. Cops were also alerted that she suffered a dislocated arm and was bleeding as a result of the alleged altercation.

Cops heard screaming when they arrived and forced their way into the bathroom, where they found Wheeler standing beside the victim after he allegedly picked the lock. Initially, Wheeler was uncooperative before being detained and the victim was transported to a hospital. The police report noted that Wheeler has a prescription to treat a bipolar disorder but he claimed he had not been taking it.

The fight reportedly began after the victim refused to bow to Wheeler. After grabbing the victim and throwing her on the bed, Wheeler allegedly strangled her until she lost consciousness. When she regained consciousness, the report says Wheeler expressed shock in her still being alive. Afterward, the victim ran to the bathroom where she called 911 and family.

While commenting on the incident, the victim allegedly said, "What was most terrifying was how cold he was...He thought I was dead on my bed and continued to Eat dinner. When I ran into the bathroom, he said, 'Wow, you're still alive' while sipping on a smoothie."

The Seahawks signed Wheeler in October 2019 after he was waived by the New York Giants. He went undrafted out of USC after a story revealed that he was involved in an altercation with a teammate and police in 2015. Wheeler was not arrested but was taken to a Los Angeles hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. The backup lineman is currently a restricted free agent.

The Seahawks released a statement that said, "We are aware of the situation and still gathering information."

Chad Wheeler's bail was set at $400,000 and he was released on Tuesday morning. He's been ordered not to have contact with the alleged victim and to surrender all weapons.

A federal magistrate judge has denied Casanova's attempt to get out of jail while he faces charges of racketeering and drug trafficking.

At a Thursday morning court hearing, U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul Davison said that while the defense had presented a "formidable" argument for freeing Casanova on $2.5 million bail, Davison was concerned about the danger to the community if Casanova was released.

"When you go back to the history and characteristics of this defense...this is a defendant who has, over the last decade, managed to rack up three serious violent felony convictions," Davison said, later adding he was concerned by Casanova's alleged role as a gang leader. "It is quite reasonable to infer that people who cross (Casanova) get hurt."

Last November, Casanova was one of 18 alleged members of the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation gang, described by prosecutors as a subset of the Bloods. In court Thursday, prosecutors described Casanova as a high-ranking member of the gang who had the authority to order others to commit violence.

"He sits near the very top of a violent organization," assistant U.S. Attorney Russell Felton argued Thursday morning, later adding, "He's one of the top leaders and narcotic suppliers in a large scale operation that was carried out by more junior members of Gorilla Stone."

Recently, Felton said, federal prosecutors started investigating a new incident that occurred at a strip club in Florida during a birthday celebration for Casanova, where a suspected rival Crip member was shot by someone in Gorilla Stone. Felton inferred that Casanova had ordered the shooting, which his attorney denied.

Casanova's attorney proposed freeing him on a $2.5 million bond provided by 13 people who would put up money or property for the rapper. He would have agreed to be placed on house arrest and wear and ankle monitor.

At court Thursday, Casanova's attorney, James Kousouros, said prosecutors had provided no evidence to back up the allegations against Casanova and that he expected him to be acquitted. He said photos of guns found on Casanova's phones were fake weapons used to promote the song "Gripped Up."

"We say the government is providing the court with photos of weapons that are promotional photographs," Kousouros said. He also cited a Casanova interview with Monreality where Casanova talked about the downsides of gang life, stating, "the only payment you get is death or jail" as a gangster.

"(Casanova's) appearances are very public, they're photographed," Kousouros said. "You never see him with a weapon."

Felton countered that Casanova stated in an interview with Nick Cannon that he is "still ape," a reference to being part of Gorilla Stone, adding that there was "overwhelming reliable evidence" Casanova was a drug supplier for the gang who had "moved up from muscle to a leadership role."

Lil Wayne found himself among the 143 people to either be pardoned or have their prison sentences commuted by Donald Trump as one of his last acts as president. Many speculated that Lil Wayne would be receiving a pardon after he endorsed Trump for reelection and was pictured with the former president. However, though it appeared Lil Wayne was just doing what he needed to in order to secure a pardon for a federal gun charge, his lawyer says Weezy is an actual supporter of 45.

Bradford Cohen, Lil Wayne's lawyer, told the New York Times that the intent was never to get a pardon from Trump. About the timing of the pre-election meeting, Cohen said, "In hindsight, I guess it worked out." He went on to say of Lil Wayne and Trump, "I think they had a very strong connection," adding, "He’s got a style that’s similar in terms of the way that he carries himself, and a lot of rappers and people in the industry relate to that."

Donald Trump has pardoned or commuted the sentences of 143 people, hours before the end of his presidential term, including ones for Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez and rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black.

Former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was also pardoned. He was sentenced to 28 years in 2013 for two dozen charges including racketeering, bribery and extortion from a conspiracy. As for Lil Wayne, he was facing 10 years in prison after pleading guilty in December to illegally possessing a firearm. Kodak Black has been in federal prison for over a year after being sentenced to nearly four years for making a false statement to buy a firearm. His sentence was commuted.

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez was arrested in 1994 for drug possession and in 1998 for grand larceny and possession of a firearm. The White House released a statement regarding the charges, which reads, "Ms. Perez was involved in a conspiracy to distribute narcotics. Since her conviction, Ms. Perez has taken full accountability for her actions and has turned her life around. She has been gainfully employed and has been an advocate for criminal justice reform in her community."

Drake took to Instagram to announce that his upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy, will be delayed due to his rehab from surgery. This is the second time the 34-year-old rapper has pushed back the album. The Torontonian hasn't revealed many details about the nature of his injury and subsequent surgery, but he did share a picture back in October of his leg in a brace.

9lokkNine Charged With 5 Counts of Attempted Murder

One of Monique Worrell's first acts as the new state attorney for Florida’s Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando was charging rapper 9lokkNine with five counts of attempted murder for a string of violent crimes that occurred in the city last year.

According to the FBI, the rapper is apart of the All Family No Friends Gang aka The Army. Investigators say the gang has been feuding with fellow Orlando rapper Hotboii, who's allegedly affiliated with the 438 Gang.

Last year, five lives were lost as a result of the gang war. The victims included two teenagers and a three-year-old, who were all innocent bystanders.

9lokkNine, whose birth name is Jacquavius Smith, is accused of shooting into an Orlando home this past July while a woman was inside with her children. No one was injured but investigators claim the 20-year-old rapper was targeting another rapper, with one witness stating, "9IokkNine wants to be the only rapper coming from Orlando."

In 2020, 9lokkNine was arrested in July for attempted second-degree murder with a firearm. He was also arrested twice for gun charges. He was also involved in a shootout outside of the Mall at Millennia in October, but he escaped unharmed. The FBI announced a week after the shooting that they were attempting to build a racketeering case against All Family No Friends Gang and the 438 Gang.

According to reports, a Florida man was recently arrested after allegedly threatening his former employer with a can of Twisted Tea and a metal pipe. The items in Shane Gillis's possession and his verbal intent made that aluminum can and metal pipe deadly weapons, according to Florida state law.

Apparently anticipating a disgruntled Gillis, police had already arrived at the scene and overheard Gillis tell his ex-employer he "had something" for them and was on his way. Gillis then called a second time and told the victim, “I’m going to end you right now. I’m coming for you straight through the parking lot.” When he arrived, he held a Twisted Tea can in his right hand and kept his left hand behind his back as he approached the victim.

Deputies then stepped in and detained Gillis. After he was apprehended, Gillis told the officers he had a 28inch metal pipe tucked in his pants. Despite being in cuffs, Gillis continued threatening his former employer. He was later charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and criminal mischief.

Memphis rapper and protégé of late Chicago rapper Fredo Santana, Baby CEO passed away at 20-years-old. His death comes three years to the day that Fredo Santana passed away after suffering a fatal seizure at just 27-years-old.

No official cause of death has been announced for Baby CEO, who linked up with Fredo Santana after finding fame on social media showing him wilding out in music videos. The two rappers would go on to collaborate on various tracks, including "Thru The Front," "CBG," and "Cappin'".

So the beginning of this year before the virus really hit, I and my girlfriend of 5 YEARS were having relationship issues. So I was looking for anything or anyway to possibly save us and our love. I met ToxicTim at a Bealestreet bar where he had seen me and my girl having another one of our many arguments. He gave me his card and told me to sign up for a relationship advice class. Our class was odd, to say the least, first, it was on Lamar, behind the strip club in his "Pimpin" *car* and the advice he gave for us was as follows.

1. He told me to "man up" and stop wearing du-rags during the day

2. He told my woman her PH balance was off

3. He told us if we want to make it out here, we got to start being more.....Pimpish

4. He asked me did I have gas money? Even though we came to him

5. Last but not least, he asked how my mother was doing

That was the final straw, I and my girl got out the vehicle as he demanded we pay him $20. I did, and we left upset and angry that we trusted him with our relationship advice. ToxicTim is just that, toxic he will not help you with your love life...Never again

Blac Youngsta was asking for trouble prior to the shooting that occurred during Moneybagg Yo’s birthday party on Tuesday (September 22). The Memphis-bred rapper hopped on Instagram to challenge someone to a shootout the same day shots were fired outside the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.

“Where you pussy-ass niggas at?” he said in the clip. “Let’s have some fun. Let’s have a shootout. Let’s do something, nigga. C’mon bitch, pull up.”

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas police Capt. Dori Koren says Moneybagg Yo was having a party at the Aria and went outside to receive a birthday present. Once the Interscope Records rapper made his way to the valet section to see his new Maybach SUV, a crowd of 80 to 100 people gathered around the area.

The gathering led to an altercation, which resulted in shots being fired.

“That fight, it turned into a shooting where one person was struck with gunfire in the leg,” Koren said. “A non-life-threatening injury.”

The victim has since been released from the hospital, but the shooter remains at large. Koren says the triggerman is a male and police have “really good leads” despite not sharing details about the man’s identity.

“We are confident we will hold this person accountable for the shooting,” the police captain stated.

Moneybagg Yo has denied being the target of the shooting but confirmed he was in Vegas on Tuesday night.

“Shot at who?” he asked in a video posted on social media. “Ain’t no muthafucka shot at us, mane.”

Someone who was there was on Instagram Live when the shots rang out and captured the chaos. You can hear three shots at what sounds like pretty close range and then someone yells, "They're coming back" ... as tires screech.

We're told the shooting suspect remains at large and cops say the investigation is ongoing. While MoneyBagg Yo insists he was NOT the target this time ... there's good reason fans thought it was about him.

Back in 2017, his sprinter van was reportedly targeted in New Jersey while on tour. Two men inside the van suffered gunshot wounds. And, in 2016 ... a woman was reportedly killed after gunfire erupted at one of his Mississippi concerts.

Tory Lanez allegedly opened fire on Megan Thee Stallion because he was wasted -- that's what he claimed in a text sent to her shortly after the bloody incident ... as she was still in a hospital bed.

TMZ has seen the text Megan got on the evening of July 12 ... roughly 15 hours after she claims Tory shot her in her feet, and in it, he's begging for forgiveness. He wrote, "I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart."

His only explanation for the violence ... "I was just too drunk."

In the text, Tory never references "shooting" or a gun, but it is clear he did something he regrets. In his words, "None the less s**t should have never happened and I can't change what did. I just feel horrible."

And, he repeats ... "Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk."

TMZ broke the story ... Tory, Megan and another friend had been party hopping in the Hollywood Hills early on July 12. Police responded to reports of shots fired from or around an SUV.

Since then Megan has publicly called out Tory ... alleging he is the one who pulled the trigger and shot her in her feet, and she even posted some gruesome pics of her injuries.

Tory has not been arrested or charged for the shooting, but as we first reported, the L.A. County D.A. is considering charging him with felony assault with a firearm.

As for Tory and Megan's contact since the shooting ... we're told she's never responded to his "sorry" text.

A Latin King street gang member who was convicted of a racketeering conspiracy involving two 1999 northwest Indiana murders has claimed to be the man who attacked R. Kelly in jail last week.

Jeremiah Shane Farmer, wrote that “the government made me attack” R. Kelly. He says that he carried out the attack “in hopes of getting spotlight attention and world news notice to shed light on” alleged government corruption, per The Sun-Times.

“Inmate Farmer appeared to be punching inmate Kelly repeatedly in the head and torso,” the prison employee wrote, stating that he appeared to be on top of Kelly on the bottom bunk.

The prison employee was then forced to use pepper spray to end the assault before Farmer was placed in the MCC’s solitary housing unit following the attack.

Farmer says a mental health professional at the MCC told him, “You don’t want to assault Kelly, if you did, you would have done it.” Farmer wrote that he “said some disrespect back” and was told “go do it then.”
