There was no holding back when ACON asked us to evolve their ‘Culture of Care’ campaign. With an obvious twist on the word ‘foreplay’, the headline ‘Beforeplay’ captures the notion that communication should play an integral part in any sexual relationship. We art-directed a nude photo shoot with a renowned Australian photographer and developed a bold graphic language with exclamation marks and single quote marks. The placement of these marks on t-shirts creates an added level of innuendo. The campaign launched to coincide with the Mardi Gras and rolled out across posters, press ads and banner ads. With publicity partners PLAY we developed T-shirts, a fortune teller and other collateral items.

Colour Coded

A multi-coloured ink drop swirls across the screen to introduce the new site for the International School of Colour and Design. The site showcases student’s work with large-scale photography. A single colour from the ink splash informs each page in the hero photography and navigation. An intuitive navigation system makes it easier for prospective students to find information and enquire.

Frost* have designed the logo for the new SBS-produced arts channel for pay TV.

QANTAS Online Annual Report 2009

From cabin crew and catering staff to the board of directors, the people become the focus of the report. Frost art directed an honest “fly-on-the-wall” shoot that captured the spirit of Qantas. We translated the report to an interactive microsite, which provided a platform to present the information in a more engaging way.

The online version became an extension of the printed version. The design was mirrored in HTML and included extra details such as a full screen image gallery, flash network map and passenger journey sections.

Making the information available online allowed Qantas to reach a wider audience and dramatically reduced the number of printed copies.
