<h3>Fountains</h3>
<ul>
<li>Aesthetic fountains and other water features may only operate four hours per day. The regular hours of operation can be selected by the owner, but must be posted. However, small indoor and backyard fountains may operate eight hours a day.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Car Washing</h3>
<ul>
<li>Car washing is limited to once per week and fundraiser events are allowed. Car washing at residential properties is only allowed on certain days: even-numbered addresses may wash only on Tuesday or Saturday; odd-numbered addresses may wash only on Wednesday or Sunday.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Pressure Washing</h3>
<ul>
<li>Pressure washing is allowed for necessary purposes, which include cleaning prior to painting or sealing, maintaining a paint or material warranty, addressing a health or safety hazard and complying with local, state or federal health laws. Aesthetic concerns, even those raised by an HOA in accordance with its deed restrictions, do not constitute a &#8220;necessary&#8221; purpose.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Water-based air conditioning</h3>
<ul>
<li>Government facilities, common areas in malls, lobbies of multi-tenant office buildings and similar public spaces using cooling towers or other water-based cooling are no longer required to keep the temperature at or above 78 degrees Fahrenheit.</li>
</ul>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>Beginning May 15th a false alarm by your home security system may cause a fine to be assessed by the Pinellas County Sheriff. It all depends on whether you take the time to register it or not. Registration is easy and follow the instructions and link at the end of this article.</em></p>
<p><em>From the PCSO:</em></p>
<p>A 2009 Pinellas County ordinance requires home and business owners to register their alarm systems with the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The ordinance has also implemented a fine schedule for any false alarms which may occur at that home or business.</p>
<p>On May 15, 2009, Pinellas County deputy sheriffs will begin enforcing this ordinance by citing property owners for false alarm incidents.</p>
<p>The Sheriff’s Alarm Registration Program or “SHARP” has been established for home and business owners to register their alarm protected properties on-line or by filling out a registration form and mailing it to:</p>

<p>The ordinance covers the unincorporated area of Pinellas County and the 12 cities which contract with the Pinellas Sheriff’s Office for law enforcement services. The contract cities are:</p>

<p><strong>There is no registration fee to sign up with SHARP.</strong></p>
<p>Alarm subscribers registered with SHARP will receive warnings for the first two false alarms within a revolving year. Registered alarm owners who experience more than two false alarms in one year will be subject to fines as identified below.</p>
<p>Home and business owners who do not register their alarm systems with SHARP do not receive any warnings and will be subject to fines as identified in the schedule below.</p>
<p>Even registered alarm owners who experience more than two false alarm events in one year may also be subject to fines, as identified below, if the false alarms continue.</p>
