I have been into video gaming for quite some time. I have also been a tv and audio equipment installer for many years. The other day I got a call from a customer that wanted to have his tv hung on aluminum studs in his condominium. I gave him a price which included “Studding Out” the aluminum studs. He proceeded to tell me that he didn’t want something that would withstand a hurricane and that this tv was just for video gaming.

I explained to the customer that installing a tv on aluminum studs without proper filling would leave the studs suseptible to bending, breaking, or other things. He said that he didn’t care and that another person he knew installed one using toggle bolts. I told the person that I would not install a tv like that due to safety, and insurance reasons. I don’t think that he was happy because he stated he didn’t need my services.

What do you think about people that do things without concern for safety, etc..?

It never fails for me. Whenever a company comes out with a new DLC I usually find myself going on some sort of vacation. Battlefield will be releasing their DLC in June, but I will be away. Back a few years ago I would take my PS3 with us, but that got risky for bumping, or dropping hazards. In the DVC Community Halls they have PS3 units, but don’t have internet. Maybe vacationers should start voicing their thoughts on things that need to be offered in addition to their vacation. Maybe we can all send places like orlandovacation.com a request to add a addon of Playstation 3 units to the vacation package. I have been thinking about trying to get my hands on a PS Vita. I am not sure how it can help me in some situations, but when I have an internet connection I can play Battlefield. Has anyone gotten the PS Vita yet? How is the system?

Remote Play has been around since the PSP. I am not sure that Remote Play is the best solution for playing games that are on a PS3. For now I guess that there is no other solution, so we have to deal with it.

How is Remote Play on the PS Vita? Is it better than it used to be?

I have often wondered what I will be like when I get older. Being that I play video games in my spare time now I wonder if I will still be into video games when I get much older. Is it possible for this to be one of the ageless male side effects that we continue doing in the future what we do now? I meet a lot of older people in my line of work, and they don’t care for video games. In my opinion this is because there weren’t a lot of video games in their younger years. I realize that back then there was the Atari, but for the most part technology wasn’t even close to what it is today. Kids of these times have everything in their grasp. I don’t know if I will be able to play like I do now, but I sure do hope I can still get into the First Person Shooters like I currently do.

Are you older? Do you play video games? When did you get your first video game system?

Recently we purchased a used travel trailer. One of the first things that I did was prep it for use the next week. My wife and I discussed that I won’t be gaming a lot because this is supposed to be family time, but I know that I need something during times it is raining, or whatnot. On top of that we have some good family games like Little Big Planet, and Lego Star Wars. I immediatelly moved my tvs, and flat panel mounts. In a camper space, and safety comes high on my list. I didn’t want to have to unload the camper of my gaming equipment when moving the trailer so mounting the tv was the best bet for us. We haven’t actually decided on what gaming system is going to go into the camper, but I am leaning more towards the PS3. This is because there isn’t a major amount of extra space for motion controllers like the Wii has. The Wii is more my daughters speed, but no feasible.

If you can come up with any suggestions please let me know what you think.

I know a few people that have twisted theories behind video games. Some video games are educational as well as fun. You can give a game, or a system for almost any occassion. The only difficult time that I have found is birthdays. You have to wonder how many other people also purchased the same video game as you if they were giving a video game. We have learned to resolve this in our own manner. What we do is we either make sure our gift is opened first, or we wait until last.

My wife is always trying to figure out what to get for me. The hardest time is my birthday. This is because I usually get all the games I want for Christmas, and this doesn’t give her much to look for. I told her to think more outside the box. I told her that accessories are also great birthday gifts for men.

We have many different gaming systems in my house. When we don’t want to spend on product specific rechargeable battery packs we always go for the best that is available. In the past I tried using economy batteries. This was bad because in the middle of a game when a controller dies you usually don’t get to pause the game to change the batteries. The nice thing with the PS3 is that it automatically stops games when a controller dies, or comes disconnected. With this in mind I told the wife to start searching for good deals on Duracell procell, or Energizer batteries.

We just found a good site to get batteries at a fraction of the cost in the stores. Check out the specials over at wesellbatteries.com.

The eternal question that is getting closer to being answered with one stroke of the keyboard is “Where do I find XYZ cheap.” (XYZ being a game title.) Well, the internet is a vast highway of information, but noone has yet made a website that will become one of the best sieves ever created. For the most part everyone that is looking for a game at a low price has to do multiple searches to come to the final answer.

For now this is what I can suggest to try when looking for a cheap price.

First go onto EBGames and see what they are selling the game for both NEW and USED.

Next check out some of your local stores like Walmart, Target, Toys”R”Us, and any other major names.

Third go to EBay and search for the title you want. Keep in mind that you will want to verify what is being shipped. You don’t want scratched games, and you don’t want to pay a price that is equivalent to a store if they aren’t giving the box, and manual.

Armed with this knowledge you too can find a video game cheap.

For those of you that like to buy games… Here is a suggestion for you…

Get a membership to either Blockbuster, Gamefly, or Red Box. Try out a game before you purchase it. It loses a lot of value once it is opened, and you usually can’t return an open game.

There is much controversy in the decision of which game is better… Battlefield, or Call of Duty. I have done many different reviews on them, and can tell you that there is no right, or wrong answer. Each game has its own unique style, and with that comes a unique set of players. I play both games, but I only play the Call of Duty titles when I want a super fast game. The Call of Duty series is known for its “spawn camping”, “run and gun” type tactics. Battlefield does not have these capabilities because the boards are far bigger than Call of Duty boards. There is an objective in the Battlefield games. For the most part there is no real solid objective in Call of Duty.

I thought it was pretty creative when DICE created an entire storyline behind Bad Company, and Bad Company 2. The storyline was about soldiers that found out about gold bars, and wanted to get their hands on them. The new Battlefield 3 totally broke off the storyline, and actually didn’t have much of a storyline behind it. I believe this was because they knew that the game would be a high ranking seller, and they took a little of the glitz out of it.

The Call of Duty series lost my respect when they only put vehicle operation into the single player campaigns. There was only one title that had vehicles that could be driven in multiplayer, and that was World At War. The Call of Duty game also brought a lot of “FAKE” things like the perks. How many times will you find a Harrier jet hovering over a town mowing down the enemy in real life? How many times will you be able to call in a nuclear weapon to win a round when your own team is still on the battlefield in real life? The answers to those things are NEVER.

As I said before… Each game has its dedicated followers. For the most part Call of Duty is out there for little children, or adults that don’t have the patience of EARNING the kill.

Enough said…

Keep looking out for the June release of the new Battlefield 3 expansion pack.

I have many large screen tvs in my house. During the summer I have wanted to take my video gaming outside so that I can enjoy the outside air, and yet still continue gaming. The one thing that I haven’t figured out how to do is how I can setup some seating over my swimming pool. I have been using one of the “Elephant” tested pool covers since I got my pool, but that will not accomodate a seating situation.

I have seen what Disney Cruise did with their swimming pools, and find that to be a very interesting idea. I already have a good sound system throughout the yard. The rest of it is a costly idea for the regular person like me. For now I will have to continue gaming inside, as I can’t afford a major project, and I also can’t justify closing the pool just so I can play a game.

Another alternative is to find a way to get waterproof controllers and float around the pool with a big screen at one end. This could be a pretty radical idea. I will have to look into a projector that I can send the game to the side of my house. That would be a serious experience.

The people below have the right idea… We just need to cheap it down a bit…

I have been playing Battlefield 3 as much as I possibly can since I got it. I have noticed many things. Some things have been addressed by DICE, and we all thank you for fixing some of the “Glitches”, and “Cheats”. There are many other things that I just don’t understand, and I know that I am not the only one that plays the game that doesn’t understand them. The gun lights are just not realistic, and they are quite annoying. Some players may like them because blinding others is in their gameplan.

There are many things in the game that can be destroyed while some of the simplest things can’t be. I can’t understand how trees can stay fully standing after being hit by a tank, and even the wall light fixtures stay intact on some of the buildings.

The biggest cheat that still exists is the “Level Clipping.” One of the best examples of level clipping on Damavand Peak is above the tunnel on the side opposite the construction flag. If you happen to find your way up the rocks you can get on the top edge of the tunnel. Once there you can crawl behind one of the center columns. If you then try to get into the rock you will notice that you can see everything going on below. You cannot get any kills, but you can get many “Spots” from that location.

Years ago I played Hitman for the PC. This was by far one of the best games out at that point. I am into shooter games, but I also enjoy a good action game. Hitman always combines the two. From eliminating an enemy and using the clothing as a disguise to the tactics used to accomplish a mission this game has it all. In the older games he would sneak into a place, take out someone that had a outfit that allowed him to blend in without being noticed, and then eliminate the target. There was even a time that he was into flower delivery. Hitman isn’t the continuous action game, and this is because things need to be done slowly, and precisely.

Now in preorder status Hitman Absolution brings another episode to the Hitman series.

HITMAN ABSOLUTION follows Agent 47, a cold blooded assassin, who takes on his most dangerous contract to date.

Betrayed by those he trusted, Agent 47 takes on his most dangerous contract to date in search of the truth.

* Showcasing IO Interactive’s new proprietary Glacier 2™ technology, the game has been built from the ground up, boasting a cinematic story, distinctive art direction and highly original game design.

* Experience a Living Breathing World. Characters come to life as players make their way through the world, reacting to subtle changes in the environment around them and showing a wide range of reactions.

* Instinct allows the player to see the world through the eyes of Agent 47. It is a dynamic economy that is earned by executing class Hitman gameplay moves.

* Disguises have been taken to the next level with a huge variety which you can take, not only to blend in visually but also to impersonate a victim. Once in disguise, the world around you will react to that disguise, so choose carefully.

I have been witness to many new games that have come out for game systems. I can see that some of them are fun to play, but are they really teaching anything about music? There have been games like DJ Hero, Guitar Hero, Band In A Box, Drum Hero. These games teach you to mash buttons to imitate what is being played on the screen, but they don’t actually have a musical lesson to them. Anyone can mash buttons. There are new titles coming out that allow you to hook your guitar up to the game system. I don’t know if they operate the same, but it leaves me guessing.

Have you ever played any of these games? Do you feel that they have any sort of musical lesson to them?

For many years I have tried to come up with a foolproof business idea that had to do with video games, and video game systems. Blockbuster took over most of the business with video game rentals. After that there was GameFly. Then the next thing came… RedBox. But these companies only offered a rental, or a purchase in the end. Something was bound to come up that would outdo these current business ventures. Why can’t I ever figure out something that I can pull off? I just found out about another system that is currently in Beta stage, but sounds like a very lucrative business. They offer video game trades. You don’t need to worry about hunting for FREE shipping coupon codes to get the games back to them. They handle everything. Just go to their site and register so that you can get more information.

High up in his penthouse office, a mysterious lunatic holds the infamous Twisted Metal tournament every year. Who is he? Calypso. And his thirst for chaos and destruction can only be quenched with death.

Contestants for Calypso’s Twisted Metal tournament are selected from all over the world to compete for the ultimate prize: Survival. Behind the wheel of the most twisted vehicles imaginable, contestants battle to the death until one, lone victor remains standing. The champion gets one wish granted by Calypso.

But there’s a twist.

This year, instead of offering the champion money, power or fame, rumor has it that Calypso is able to offer more…so much more. However, as contestants step up to prove themselves worthy of the Twisted Metal championship, a mysterious figure is tracking Calypso and preparing to strike back — someone who knows the truth behind where and how Calypso is getting his amazing prizes.

My wife bought me one of the NEW Sony Playstation 3 wireless headsets for Christmas this year. I like the new headset, but I also miss my old Playstation 2 wired headset. It was nice because it was small, and didn’t have many controls. If it wasn’t for the fact that my old headset stopped working because of something to the effect of the condenser microphones wearing out. The new headset has a mic mute, voice volume, and sound volume. The new headset is not Bluetooth. These are much nicer than a standard Bluetooth earpiece because no one else has to hear what is going on in the game.

The headset retails for @$99.99. It comes with a usb adapter that allows the headset to communicate with the PS3. There is a full onscreen visualization of what is what with the headset when being used.

I recommend this headset for the full gaming experience.
