Spring is here!

Wow i cant believe we are already more than half way through the month of March! Things are moving along nicely although more online sales would be a plus. Currently i'm working on a VLP commission and hopefully will be done with it soon. I just got done with my first professional catalog for Spring, have a look below:)

I love my New Lamp........

Its January and the house hasnt received any love due to work over-load!! I Shouldnt complain.... i did manage to purchase a lamp and arrange some pictures over it which made me feel a whole lot better. Its the little things......

I used a silhouette of a women's head designed by Optic Waste

Matthews commission

Les and i finally had the commission installed in the clients house. We had a professional do the job!! I'm not sure we would be still working together if we had tried to do it ourselves. I'm happy with the result....

Necklace - summer/fall

So i'm trying to come up with some new designs for late summer early fall. If you have a chance let me know which one you prefer. I like the idea of creating a necklace on the collar of the shirt.

The green belt - Austin Texas

Adam and i took the time to relax a little this weekend, which was fun! We went out to the green belt and swam/bathed in little pools of water. Ahhhhh so nice when the temperatures are getting up into the hundreds. Along the way i saw a series of patterns

The Confetti-Inspired “Falling Garden” Installation

Gerda Steiner and Jorg Lenzlinger created a magical art installation for the 50th Venice Biennial Art Exhibition a few years ago. I had seen it some where recently and completely forgot to spend time looking. I think this piece is so inspiring.

VLP - Commission

So Les and i finally finished the private commission we've been working on for weeks. It was a challenge trying to cut and meld all the pieces together but the outcome was a good one. Each panel is 12x12 making a relatively large painting. I love the way all three photos used flow into each other. I was so happy to work on this....hope you like it!

So i just finished hand printing my save the date cards with a make shift printer.

You too can save on costs by printing your own invitations. Draw the design, transfer to vellum or transparency, burn on to a screen or have someone do it for you and print away. Stay tuned for updates on my hand done wedding stationery!

So i just started printing paper panels again! These seem to be a great success. I have three different sizes and each format/piece is unique unto itself, the designs are printed on handmade japanese paper with a deckled edge. They will be available at Parts and Labour form Monday onwards, shows that i participate in and of course my website. Currently they are priced at $35 each a bargain for a hand pulled original print. Here are some details of one or two....

Shop Austin - April 17th 2010

The coming weeks are busy with shows and projects galore.I just participated in a great show in Dallas called

So i just got back from a road trip to check out shows in Vegas.

My friend Natalie of Ornamental Things had a booth at 'Pool' a

smaller hipper show for up and coming independent designers.

It was a lot of fun and i saw so much great stuff!! Here are

So i finally have a full online e commerce site ! Very exciting.

I had a great support system what with Jenny Hsiao designing the

layout Chad Schroeder figuring out the coding and of course Lesley

Nowlin taking pictures of my product. There are still kinks to work

Chris Natrop- Cutouts.

So today is a new day and i am trying to get myself into a place where i can start creating and designing new art for galleries and independent stores. When i need a new perspective i like to look to my peers one of which is the artist Chris Natrop hes truly an inspiration to me.......I hope you think so too:) Not to mention i love cut out paper its a beautiful medium.
