I know it's been awhile since I last posted and a lot has happened in this time firstly on a positive note.

I opened my own store, the are a lot of reasons for this I can offer a wider range of items in my own online store as the overheads are less, this also means I can offer my items for less as i'm paying less, and lastly I am completely in charge of everything. On a very very sad note I lost my best friend, my King Charles Cavalier Ruby, she was my little girl and I miss her sooo much.

I found it very hard to draw for a long time after.

Been a long time

Sorry for not posting for what seems like years, I have been so busy.

I attended a Fete at a near by village called Critch on Sat 18th here are the pic's of my little stall.

We had a fantastic time, there was Go carts, falconry, and all manner of fun things to do, there was even a bar!

This Friday I will be running a competition for a selection of freebies, so pop back to read the instructions and have a go at winning yourself some free stuff.

Well only 3 more days and it's my Birthday yay not sure what I am doing yet but pretty sure it will involve my friend's and family and lots of beer, or pear cider?

Well thank you all for crossing your fingers and toes for my Uncle in law he is now officially off the ventilator and has started to speak, although he still has a long way to go it is all looking very positive.

Firstly let me apologize for not posting in a while my Uncle in law had a very serious car accident, and is currently in hospital, he is critical but stable, he's a fighter but every little helps so please keep you fingers and toes crossed for him.

My son is on his first ever proper school outing today and he was soooo excited this morning they are off to Pooles cavern and then Solomans temple, heres a piccy of the last time we went.

On a more serious note I have a petition I would like for you to sign, this had me in tears for over half an hour, I then gritted my teeth and decided that the best course of action was to get as many of my fellow animal lovers to sign the petition.

This petition is being written to get Glynn Johnson CONVICTED of Felony Animal Cruelty & to receive the MAXIMUM prison term, which is 4 yrs.

On May 1st., Glynn Johnson was "HELD TO ANSWER" for the beating death of KARLEY, a 6 month old German Shepard. The Judge felt there was sufficient evidence to name Johnson the primary suspect in the death of Karley. On May 15th, there will be an arraingment of Johnson.

Please help justice to be served and sign.

My first larger piece in a while

I know it's been a while since I posted, I have been busy working on Serenity, I have also finished another piece.

Slow week

Well I have had a bit of a slow week due to Leo being off school, but I did manage to get some more work done on "serenity", so here are the pic's.

I also managed to finish my first Pendant, and love it, The pendant is made from a print from my original artwork "Sitting Pretty"
The light weight wood is approx 1/4", so nice and thick, and has been hand titled and sign.
The image is approx 1" x 1.5 " of bonefied doggyness Sealed with Diamond gloss glaze to last.
Comes with a ribbon necklace approx 18" and is stored in a black organza bag with a little Tibetan silver paw charm.

Hope you all had a good Easter and the Easter bunny brought lots of very nice gifts, I had a Baileys egg very nice too, mind you it was soo nice it's all gone now.

Well what can you say Rats make such cute pets, my Mum never thought so, but it had the advantage of stopping her from being in my room.

We enjoyed a lovely Pub tea tonight thanks to My Mother and Father in law it was lovely and we had a great time, when we got back Guinness showed us she would like to go shopping, in a toy shopping trolley.

Decorated eggs

Well it's that time of year again, and this year I decided to have a go at decorating some eggs with my boy, instead of hard boiling them I thought I would blow the inside into a bowl, I have never done this before and not sure if I will do it again, boy it's hard work I blew that hard my ears were ringing.

Anyway here are the fruits of our labor.

I was going to attempt to draw a rabbit on one but was having far too much fun just slopping paint on in any given way.

However I do have some slightly more realistic aceo's for sale

This is an English Bull Terrier I love these dogs, but sadly my Husband thinks they are ugly, I think they are very handsome and would love to have one as a pet, but will have to settle on drawing them instead.

As you are all aware I went to Blackpool at the weekend to celebrate a friends 21st Birthday, well a good time was had by all but my poor feet!

So I have been playing catch up slightly as it took a time to pack etc which took time away from work, but it's not too bad luckly only a few days worth.

I have spent most of the day with my lil boy as he's off school for the next 2 weeks, we played the yes no game and some how he seemed to win every time, he assures me that those are the rules but I'm not sure?, I have a feeling I was conned.

This week has been a very hectic but exciting week, crickey where to start.

Help stop the seal hunt

Thousands of innocent baby seals are being killed as young as 2 weeks, Seals are routinely clubbed or shot and left to suffer on the ice, before being clubbed again some time thereafter.

Some seals are still skinned before being rendered fully unconscious and few sealers are observed checking for a blinking reflex to confirm brain death prior to skinning an animal. As one of the veterinary reports concluded: "Canada's commercial seal hunt results in considerable and unacceptable suffering.”

Canada's commercial seal hunt is a hunt like no other. It is a cruel and unethical practice that produces a product nobody needs. In fact, 98% of the animals killed in the past two years have been seal pups aged about 2 weeks to 3 months. This unmanageable hunt takes place over a vast area, making it impossible to carry out humanely.

But there is new hope. Hope such as the recent ban in Belgium on the import of all seal products and the additional momentum behind similar bans in other European countries. But hope most of all, from supporters like you who continue to voice your outrage and gather others to stand with you in telling the rest of the world what is really going on off the East Coast of Canada.

PLEASE SUPPORT THE HARP SEAL BILL

A new week

I have spent the past few days tidying and organizing my studio, and it go so messy I still haven't managed to finish yet, I think mess just follows me around!!!, but I also managed to remove my trail of artwork etc from the front room, so I am currently only cluttering the Kitchen, Games room and my Studio (oh well).

Today have managed to complete a new ACEO card.

I have spent most of the evening playing Kingdoms with my Boy, I had an imaginary horse and everything, oh bless we looked so good riding our horses up the stairs and back down again, but some how even though we were knights we had guns, not sure if the History books are wrong or my Son is!!

I am still updating my Website and stores, but hopefully will be done soon, it helps that I have just purchased Lady Gaga's album it makes sitting at the computer and taking endless pictures more manageable.

Right back to the mess in the studio sigh.

Well my neck decided to get worse great!, so my Husband went and bought me a tens machine and wow it's fab. So I have managed to get some more done on "Serenity" the Tiger piece I am currently working on.

I happy with the progress so far and can't wait to finish I'm so excited (it's my first large piece in a while)

I also managed to make a start on updating my Etsy shop and have added some new prints

Ouch

Well I haven't blogged for a few days due to the fact I woke up on Thursday morning with a pain in the neck (and for once it wasn't my Husband), so I have not felt comfortable sat at the computer hopefully it will ease up soon, can't make my mind up if it's my Fibromyalgia or just a stiff neck!

Anyway this has meant that I have managed to do a fair amount of artwork as being sat on the sofa with a cushion behind my neck was the only place I could get any ease from the pain. I have watched far too much telly and managed to start a large tiger piece, here's the work in progress.

The piece will be A4 in size when finished and will be available to buy in my ebay shop.

I have also managed to do some new ACEO cards.

My little chihuahua is 1 today (not that she cares bless), here she is below in one of her normal pose's, yep she's a cutie.

I am in the process of finishing another Rat ACEO card and this will hopefully be on sale tomorrow and 50% will be going to an animal charity.

This week I decided I would have a go at some new subjects and eventually after much thought and flipping through several animal books I decided on Rats.

I used to have rats and they are so sweet and just as much fun as most pets (plus they eat less).

So far I have 9 sketched out, 2 I have started to add colour, and 1 I have finished.

Here is the finished ACEO, I am very happy with the way this one turned out he's so cute.

As many of you are aware I love animals, and my artwork is all based around these wonderful creatures.

Just last night I came across the most awful, stomach, churning act taking place in France.

Some revolting humans are using stray Cats and Dogs as shark bait, these poor animals are being hooked and then thrown off the boat to be eaten alive anything from full grown dogs to baby Kittens.

This has to STOP so if you only do one thing today please sign the below petition.

I spent most of this Wednesday tidying my Studio what started as a fairly easy task soon became a nightmare, not only did I tidy but I organized my studio so that it was less time consuming to find the items I need, I am so glad my husband didn't come home till late on in the day as I had piles of stuff every where it looked like a new kind of jumble sale.

In amongst this chaos I did however manage to do some mounted 7" x 9" Prints, and add three of them to ebay.

I also managed to get one (yes only one) Easter ACEO card done, and I think he's a real cutie.

I have also managed to make a start on the new website it's looking purrfect so far, although it's taking awhile since I keep having to check my libary books to ensure I am doing everything correctly, I am hoping to have it up and running by at least Monday.

Well I think that's about all we have all just been for a meal and I am so stuffed now sitting here is hard work, not to mention the glass of red I had has gone to my head.

Ha ha as the title just might suggest I have been busy updating today, still I hear you cry, why yes I am still getting accustomed to my Imac and all the new wonderful programs I have, and since I have only ever had Windows this is all new to me.

Anyway I have updated my Ebay listings look and feel, ready to start adding some more items hopefully tomorrow.

Just a quick post Today as I am off out tonight to celebrate a friend's birthday.

As some of you may be aware Lycos is no longer and as a result I have found myself in the position of having no webhost, I have spent the past few days finding a suitable replacement, and let's just say it's not a very easy task.

I had planned on updating the look and feel of my website any way so have decided rather than be charged for transfering my domain (which Lycos have not made easy due to not being able to find my reference code) that I would have a new domain.

So soon you will find me at www.vicsoriginalart.co.uk I am still waiting for all the paper work to come through but in the mean time I will be making a start on Dreamweaver so that as soon as everything is in order I can upload.

Well I think that's about all for now, off to try and make myself look Human.
