Happy Holidays!

WOW! I can't believe its December and my year is over. I told myself that I would be taking a month off to spend with my loved ones and I'm so happy to be doing just that. We have many fun excursions planned, and family coming into town and I can hardly control myself!!! I can't wait!

But most importantly, this blog is about YOU and I want to say, THANK YOU" for all your support in 2009. It's definitely been one of the most exciting years of my life and I owe it all to YOU...my clients, blog followers, family and friends.

To my clients who I feel are like my new BFF's after our fun shoots.....thank you SO much for trusting in me and allowing me to take a step into your world, sharing your love as a family and capturing your beautiful memories. I'm so blessed to have worked with such wonderful families, extraordinary couples and even a few of man's best friends. I've enjoyed the ride more than you'll ever know and I can't wait to see what 2010 will bring. I look forward to seeing you all next year and watching your families blossom, your bellies grow and welcoming all the new bundles of joy into this big world.

So, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for trusting in me to capture your LOVE this year and I'm truly so lucky to have been given the opportunity!

Meet the Detherage's! I loved the intimacy of this wedding, close friends and family were invited and the grooms father was the minister. There were MANY laughs and some scattered tears and LOTS of smiles for this joyous occasion. All guests stayed at a beautiful hotel with SPECTACULAR views. On the day of the wedding everything fell into place perfectly, they seriously couldn't have asked for anything different. The weather was beautiful, the bride was looking GORGEOUS and the groom was laughing and looking his best with all his close friends. What more could you ask for?

R and K, thank you so much for wanting me to document such an amazing day in your lives!

I know everyone is SO excited to see all the beautiful moments so I won't keep you waiting!

The "S" Bump| Chandler Maternity Photographer

Ok, so I'm SOOO giddy about this shoot, seriously like a little girl in the candy store giddy, like I don't know how to even control my emotions...I LOVE IT!

I've been wanting to shoot someone at this location for about 6 months now but never had the right subject/reason to shoot here. I was just going to do my kiddos here if all else failed, although I'll definitely be going back now and doing them too, LOVED this spot!

Well, when I got the call from one of my very dear friends who's doing her little boys room in "beach/surfer", I knew this would be the perfect spot, yet so romantic too! There's just something about a old burned down house and over grown weeds that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I know, I know, to most, this probably sounds insane but this is by far my FAVORITE location!!!!! Anyways, onto my beautiful subjects....I couldn't be more happy for them, they are such amazing friends and I cant wait to share in the excitement when little "R" is born! And no worries, I'll be doing his newborn shots so you to will get to see this little surfer dude soon AND his adorable bedroom! Mom is VERY crafty in this department and I always LOVE her ideas! Although we were rushed on time, only had about 35 min to shoot until the sun went down, I think together we did a FABULOUS job!

Precious Baby "T"| Phoenix Newborn Photographer

This family was a referral from the beautiful newborn twins I shot a while back. I don't think they could have sent me a more GORGEOUS family! Little Miss "T" was fast asleep when I arrived but not for long...ha ha ha...she decided to wake up and stay awake for fear she might be missing the party! :) This little angel was not fussy at all but was WIDE awake for three hours! I tried all my little tricks to get her to go to sleep but it just wasn't going to happen. Luckily, I still managed to get amazing shots with her awake and in mid-dream....maybe that's why I got SEVERAL smiles from this little princess!

Mom and Dad were great to work with and I was loving Dad's input. You see, Dad was very excited to get a shot of Baby "T" in her Santa outfit with the Dog. I always LOVE it when the Dad's get involved cause then they to share in the excitement. Being that Baby "T" was not sleeping, it was extremely difficult to get this shot. Every time her eyes would be half open/half close or her hand would be in the middle of her face, if she was fine, the dog was off. I feel bad cause this was the one and only shot that DAD wanted but Baby "T" was not having it. I did manage to get ONE decent shot after spending about 20 minutes waiting for her to either close her eyes, not wiggle, etc and then we called it quits! But all and all, we got many beautiful shots! Maybe we'll get them together at her 1 yr old pictures! By then the Dog will probably be running from her! :)

Thanks "K" family for letting me capture your precious baby girl! I enjoyed every minute! She's BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Meet the "E" family!

This shoot was a long time in the waiting since Mom and I started chatting back in the summer. I was so happy that we were able to work something out! All the children are GORGEOUS and together they all make a beautiful family! We had many laughs especially from Mr. S who is the ham in the family. Mr. J has THE most AMAZING eyes, I could photograph him all day long! Miss A is BEAUTIFUL in every way and her dark hair and light eyes are to die for! And big brother has the "look" to make all the ladies go crazy! Mom and Dad have their hands full with these gorgeous kiddos. At the end of the shoot they all changed into their "CARDINAL" gear since they are HUGE fans! This was a lot of fun! Thank you all so much for a fun afternoon!

Adorable Twins| The "N" girls!

These two twins are as beautiful outside as they are inside. I just loved capturing their different personalities! Miss. B is full of spunk and is always laughing and ready for the excitement to start. There is no thinking on her part, she just jumps right in and enjoys the moment! On the other hand, Miss M is just SO sweet and a bit shy. She defiantly is more of an observer and thinks before she acts and takes some time to warm up. At one point we did an outfit change and I loved how their personalities matched their shoes! One wanted her ballet flats on and the other was sporting her black sassy boots! This was a perfect fit! The girls were a blast to work with and it was also great catching up with Mom since I hadn't seen her in a while! Mom and I used to work together back in college.

Meet the "N" family! You may remember this beautiful face from about 5 months ago when I photographed him only 7 days! He was adorable then and is even more handsome now! WOW, his little face is just too cute! Mom and Dad were great to work with as always and Mr. Q made my job very easy! He was loving all the trees, birds and the tractors that were out that day but his favorite was when his Daddy was "beat boxing" for him...it was hilarious and that's where alot of the smiles came from...it was ADORABLE!

Meet the "W" family!

This is my middle daughters teacher and her beautiful family! Mom did a great job on the coordinating but not matching outfits...way to go MOM! :) This seems to always be the hardest part for us moms and over half of my emails come from "what to wear".

This shoot was alot of fun and my subjects were SO easy to capture. I'm used to the little ones and not getting the shot right away so this seemed really easy. They were so much fun and so easy to work with. Miss H is just stunning and I had a hard time taking my camera off her. She was just a natural at all the poses and SO photogenic. Mr. S is just so darn cute and although he'd rather me photograph him with his baseball (which we did capture) he has the sweetest faces. My fav is the one of him looking up into my camera smiling (I was asking him if he had a girlfriend? Uhmm...I wonder if he does?) I'll let you be the judge on that one! ;)

Mr. Lashes| The Gorgeous "D" family

This family was a referral from the "J" family. I'm SO lucky that my clients keep referring me to all these beautiful fun families!

First and foremost, Mr. P here has eyelashes that make me go CRAZY! They seriously almost reach his eyebrows and then the baby blues to top it off, seriously? Mr. P just turned one and has ALOT of energy. I didn't get to the gym that day but Mr. P made sure I burned plenty of calories!

Mom, Dad, and Grandma were so helpful and in great spirits trying to get Mr. P to sit still for one or even a half of a second. I can still see the three of us sitting there laughing and trying to get Mr. P to just stay in one spot.... not gonna happen. This little guy can move and when he does, he's very fast! Like most one year olds, the shoot was lead by him and where ever he went, we went. Mom and Dad were very laid back and went with the flow. They also brought Mr. G (the dog) that we managed to get in a few photo's as well.

Thank you Mom, Dad, Mr. P, Mr. G (the dog) and Grandma for a lovely afternoon!

Meet the "M" family!

They are a great big family of 6 and only two being the lovely ladies! Yes, four boys! When they all showed up, I couldn't help but giggle to myself when the boys said that their mom made them wear their "fancy pants"! I could tell they weren't in their comfort zone and wanted this to be over asap! These boys are "B-O-Y-S" all the way and are usually in their sports gear so t-shirts and shorts are considered their "fancy clothes". They were full of energy and I'm not quite sure how Mom keeps up with this on a daily basis. I can barely keep up with my three kiddos and I only have ONE boy! With that said, they were a ton of fun and nothing was boring to say the least! They were always making light of each other and laughing with if not AT one another! It's so funny to me how boys can make fun of each other and get over it in 2 seconds, wish my girls could do that. Then there is little Miss M, being the youngest and only girl she is going to be one tough little cookie to keep up and not get run over by her three big brothers! Although, I must say, the cutest part of the entire shoot was when I was trying to get all the kiddos in a picture together. The boys sat down right away but Miss M wasn't having it. So all three brothers started singing to her (in sweet voices I might add) Patty-Cake- Patty-Cake Bakers Man. I looked at little Miss M, looking at them (but not moving) she was going to stay in her own spot until she was ready to do it on her terms. She continued to stand there and listen to her three brothers sing her favorite song, the ENTIRE song I might add and each marked it with an "M" for her (see second picture below) and at the very end of the song, she gladly dove into big brothers arms and all looked at her smiling! It seriously was priceless! I just love that picture! Little Miss M is definitely the center of this family and it was adorable to document their love together! Below I have posted a few of many fav's and as you can tell, these tough boys each have one very soft place in their heart for their baby sister!

Fairytale Photo shoot| Meet the "C" Family!

I just LOVED this shoot. We changed location last minute cause I knew this mom would be up for an "enter at your own risk location". We ran the risk of getting kicked out but it all worked out perfectly, just like the "C" family! We had a BLAST!!!! This shoot was filled with lots of giggles, smiles, bubbles, balloons, mom's wedding tiara, dad's rocking chair when he was little, nature walks, picking flowers and lots of L-O-V-E! Mom and Dad were SO helpful and told me to "do my thing". I love it when families just have FUN together and let me capture it all. Those are always my favorite memories at the end of the day and most importantly, its what life is all about. All of our kiddos are growing up way too fast and to be able to freeze a little time together showing everyone having fun with one another is what I love to capture. Dad definitely wins "BEST DAD HELPER OF 2009". He was my sun blocker, my chair mover, basically my assistant that I don't have but now want!

Now, onto my beautiful subjects.....Mr. T, such a great big brother and just went along for the ride with no worries but his baby blues had my camera going crazy! Ms. S, one of my daughters BFF's has a special place in my heart. She has the sweetest smile and her personality is as perfect as her, she's definitely the complete package inside and out. Not to mention her two missing bottom teeth were adorable as she kept sticking her tongue through them, you forget about all that stuff as adults. Then there is little Miss T, she came as always with her fabulous fav's ..them being her hot pink boots, her baby doll, and her curiosity. This little angel knows what she wants and when she wants it, love it! I wish I could be more like that, if we could all live in "T world" for a day, that would be FUN!

So thank you to the whole "C" gang for letting me document this little part of your life together, it was more than enjoyable to watch, capture and document.

As you can tell from all the photos, I couldn't choose which ones to post! WAY TOO MANY to choose from! Good luck with your Christmas Card MOM!

Meet the "K" family!

Mom and I met through our kiddos a few years back. Unfortunately, we are all at different schools this year but I love that we still see each other often. We actually all headed over to another mutual friends house after this photo shoot, which was a great time! The "K" family always knows how to have a good time and there kiddos are very well behaved. Miss E (the eldest) is just gorgeous with all those freckles. I was in all of her milky skin with all those beauty marks. STUNNING! Miss A (the middle) is just like my middle...full of spunk and sass and definitely knows how to work the camera! Mr. B, the adorable little boy with the skateboard in the previous post (whom I got MANY emails asking, "WHO IS THAT?") is the sweetest thing and his light eyes with his darker hair is to die for! I love how he smiles and then shrugs his little shoulders.
