New Rooms At Tropicana!

Meanwhile back on Earth, the Tropicana has unveiled - via their blog (more on that later) - the look and feel of their new room designs.

Boyd Gaming called, they want their hotel room designs back.

The new ones are definitely an improvement over the current, and seem to jibe with the Trop's attempt to bring back an actual feeling of tropicalia to the hotel. We can also see that the Tropicana is attempting to reposition itself as heir apparent to wayward Stardust clientele, i.e., the Hawaiian tourist market. Hell, they even hired Wayne...

Simon Restaurant and Lounge at Palms Place is a hidden gem. Located poolside on the sixth floor of a hotel about the same size as Wynn's Tower Suites, it shares striking similarities to the always awesomely reviewed Tableau. The only real difference is the more contemporary decor at Simon... oh, and the food's cheaper... and the crowd's skankier... oh, and the waitresses are way hot. Yeah, it's worth a visit.

The hidden location - so responsible for its laid back atmosphere and general lack of Trishelle cooties - has also hindered its business and made it subject to numerous...

How awesome is this... UK based VT reader Decemberist sent us a photo of a $20,000 royal flush he hit at Rio on a $5 max bet at the Rio.
